Advice for the PrawnchopSuey

Hiya hun!

I know what you mean about being off plan and staying the same weight – that is what I was like over Christmas – not a day on plan for about 3 months – totally gave up on SW and my weight stayed the same (more or less)! In January I started eating more and I put about 5lbs on and that’s when I decided I needed SW!!!
But when you’re on plan / off plan / on plan / off plan that is when the weight seems to fluctuate the most! Annoying!!
All I know is that I don’t want to stay the same weight so am trying my hardest to be good for as long as possible and see what happens!

Hope your week has gone well! Hope you’ve got your boiler fixed! Ours broke over Christmas and it’s a flippin’ nightmare!!!! :(

Have a good weekend! :D

Hi hun, just a quick visit to say hello and a belated happy birthday, love your aim of turning 29 at a healthy weight, go you. Hope your leg is feeling better soon, happy weekend xx

Woah - I missed your birthday too! Hope you had a good one even if you were mega busy :)

Hello everybody!

I am doing rubbish with my food diary at the moment, but to be honest am doing rubbish with my food as well!!

Had a week of SW meals but far too many syns on chocolate as well, resulting in a 2lb gain. So back to starting weight at beginning of Jan!

Feeling like it's time for ANOTHER fresh start. How many of these am I allowed??!

Went back to the gym on Saturday and even though my leg was sore I felt so much better for it. I am determined to get back into the habit.... Which will in turn stop my evening bingeing, which is sooo unhealthy and sometimes has me worrying a bit about my sanity.

I booked my summer holiday at the weekend - I am off to Sweden for 10 days in July to do sea kayaking around the St Anna archipelago, which looks amazing. In Scandanavia they have a right to wild camping, so you can pretty much pitch a tent anywhere you like in the country (as long as it's 70m from the nearest building... so you could literally set up camp in someone's garden, although that could be a little rude!) and are not restricted to official camp sites. So we can paddle from little island to little island and pitch our tent on our own private island each night. Bliss!
Anyhow, the plan will obviously be to spend most of the time in swimwear. I already need some new board shorts as mine are way too big (woohoo), but I desperately want to lose another stone or so before July so I can feel my most confident.
I don't want to be cringing at my holiday photos again...

Line drawn, positive attitude re-found ( my broken record's not completely broken yet ;) )

Plans:

Gym / exercise DVD 3 times a week
Update food diary DAILY (even if it's just a superquick food list before I go to bed)
Keep planning evening strategies to avoid demolishing a pack of kitkats at a time :)o )

Monday food plan:
breakfast - banana
lunch - tomato soup, ryvita, philidelphia, fruit
dinner - quorn meatball kofta curry with rice
GYM
cheese on toast

Wowee your holiday sounds amazing! Very out-doorsy!
And what great motivation for you... is it just you and OH going, or are you going as a group?
Well done on the restart and plans to get you back on track - sometimes that plus a little bit of motivation is all you need!

You can do it!!

Thanks ladies. It's just OH and I going.. would be even better as a bigger group but I guess it's not everyone's cup of tea! No shower for 5 days hee hee...

Hi Oddsock, I'd love to sneak you in, but I'm flying ryanir so we'll both have to lose a heck of a lot of weight to get by their measley baggage restrictions :8855:

I have to say the kayaking sounds awesome, but don't think I could handle the rest as I'm a bit of a camping snob lol (think nice clean toilets, showers etc)! Amazing though - not knowing where you're pitching up that night!
What will the weather be like over there in July?

Weather should be really nice (I hope!) - I think their summers are better than ours, and it stays light until midnight! It's South of Stockholm where we're going so not the really cold Arctic bits! Can't wait! Haven't been abroad on holiday since 2007 :)

Think it's going to cost an arm and a leg though... we're spending a few days in Stockholm after the kayaking and even hostels cost £80 for a double room for the night! I have a feeling eating and drinking out will be expensive too. Oh well, 19 weeks to get thinner and save up :)

Wow light until midnight! I'll keep my fingers crossed it'll be nice and hot for you.
Ah those bits might be expensive but think of the money you're saving by camping!

Sweden wow...now that is something to definately look forward to and I'm sure buying some new swim suits will motivate you even more to fit into them :) Best of luck for this week hun...I've also been munching a bit on naughty things this week, but it's a line drawn for me too!

Feeling confident :)

:) Monday - green

Breakfast - banana mid-morning

Lunch - tomato soup, 2 ryvita with 30g philidelphia (HexB), plum

Snack - 3 celebrations (9 syns), apple

Dinner - quorn kofta curry (couple of beef meatballs too - HexB) with tiny bit of rice
Evening snack - small portion of pasta with pesto (2 syns) and cheese (HexA)
mini twix (5.5 syns)

Total syns: 16.5
Went to the gym and did about 30 mins on cross trainer (200 kcal burned) and 10 mins rowing (110 kcal burned)

Amazing how the syns add up... I felt like I had an angelic day but was nonetheless over the syn allowance....should have resisted those celebrations! I will make up for it tomorrow.

Feeling positive again today, 19 weeks does not seem like long in terms of dieting weeks!

Plan for today:
breakfast - banana
lunch - pasta salad with tomatoes, pepper and pesto
snacks - plum, apple
dinner - jacket potato with baked beans and cheese
evening snack - cheese on toast, strawberries and fromage frais

Got a doctor's appointment this evening so will see what he has to say about my leg. It is sore today but the cross trainer is a lot less painful than the treadmill, you can really feel that it puts less pressure on your joints. If I have time after that, I might head to the gym again, we'll see. I do feel much better for it when I've been :)

Plan is looking good and no choccie in sight!
Good luck at the docs - hope they can shed some light on your leg mystery!
Oh and just think even if you lost just 0.5lb to 1lb a week you'll be a huge 9.5lb - 1stone 5lb lighter

Oooh, I hope 1lb a week is a realistic average :)

:) Tuesday - green

Breakfast - banana
Lunch - pasta with pesto (4 syns), cherry tomatoes and red pepper
Snack - plum
Dinner - jacket potato with baked beans and cheese (HexB + A)

Well, doc said he couldn't find owt wrong with my leg but gave me the number for a private physio that he recommends. So I might give that a go in a few weeks if there's still no improvement.

Only 4 syns today - made up for yesterday and not a sniff of chocolate!! Yay me :) Didn't make it to the gym but have been busy with my college homework. It's just filing and typing up course notes really but I always leave things until there's 14 weeks' worth and then it's a mission...

Will go to the gym tomorrow :)
