Advice for the PrawnchopSuey

OH. DEAR.

Grrr, why do I do it to myself??
STS this week after a naughty weekend. Meals as always were great and syn-free, but then I go and wreck it with chocolate :(

Had a word with myself. I want a stone off by July and it's not going to happen at this rate. Did some bikini window shopping on the internet and know I can't entertain the thought of buying or wearing one yet, there's far too much wobble!

I think the problem is that since I stopped going to the gym, I've had time to get bored and peckish on an evening, and once I start on the bad stuff I can't stop. This week I am GOING to go to the gym twice, Tuesday and Thursday, and I am GOING to stick within my syns until the weekend.

Unfortunately I am going to Pizza Express on Saturday night and am off to Paris for work next week, followed by my birthday weekend, so it's not looking good for the next 2 weigh-ins! I think a change in routine / habit is as important as anything as I've got into this horrible bingeing cycle, so I won't put any pressure on myself to lose over the next two weeks, but to reintroduce exercise and control my evening syns.
Also going to put evening strategies in place, like I did for the first two weeks back on plan after Christmas....

I know SW works. All I need to do is stick to it! And it's not even hard to stick to, I was sooooo good from June 'til December last year and it just felt like normal eating! I must stop sabotaging myself and get on with it!! :)

Today's an easy one because I'll be at college tonight, so will get straight home and have baked beans and cheese before bed :)

Good luck honey - you can do it!! And you WILL look gorgeous in a bikini in the summer!!
I think you need to banish that evil chocolate monster out of the house...

Oh its so hard when you have alot on! Well done on making a plan for going to the gym, thats a good defence against the chocolate :) I think chocolate must be the biggest binge point for alot of people. I buy the Hifi bars but I find it hard to eat just one at a time!

Do you get a hotel chocolate tasting box or was it a gift ? Oh I'm being nosey, tell me to go away!

Just remember that Jst because you have got stuff going in doesn't mean you have to lose the plot entirely. Even in Paris you can work tour meals. Fish, steaks lots of veg or salads keep your carbs a little low cos you don't know what it's cooked in. For your birthday plan which part of the day your going to be naughty and be good the rest of the time and get back on plan. You need to go into these awkward stages with it planned in your head!

Remind me what I said when it's my turn lol

Just popped in to say thank you so so much for the mixed bean chilli recipe - it's the first time I've really enjoyed a meal in over a week - just what I needed! Especially covered in x2 hexa's of cheese! Seems to have been my main craving so far... Cheese!

Thank you all sooo much for your encouragement! I am going to try and go cold turkey (again) on the chocolate! And organise my evenings better!

Just popped in quickly tonight after a hellish day at work and a lovely but long evening at college to be all smug - day 1 100% DONE!

:) Monday - green

Breakfast - rice pudding (HexA) with ginger and banana

Lunch - couscous with leftover roast veg from yesterday, apple

Snack - homemade oat and raisin cookie (a girl at college brought them in and I couldn't resist, it was delicious! 10 syns?)

Dinner - roast veg cup-a-pasta, 2 slices wholemeal toast (2 x HexB), one with peanut butter (4 syns)

So total syns: 14, a bit high, but getting there :)

DEFINITELY going to the gym tomorrow evening, give me a slap if I'm on here and not there ;)

Yeah I can!! ;)

Plan for today:
Breakfast - rice pudding (HexA) with banana
Lunch - Homemade SW minestrone followed by fruit
Dinner - quorn burger with cheese and roll (HexB x 2 or HexA + B if I have toast later), SW chips, sweetcorn
GYM GYM GYM
Evening strategy to avoid chocolate - Slice of toast with peanut butter OR fromage frais with frozen berries.

it's going to be another rubbish day at work.... but that doesn't have to make me fatter!! SW here we come :)

Yay You can do it!!
Good luck at the gym later too x

Day 2 100% DONE

:) Tuesday - green

Breakfast - rice pudding (HexA) with ginger and banana

Snack - pear

Lunch - SW minestrone, apple, pear

Dinner - quorn burger in wholemeal roll (HexB) with cheese (HexB), spaghetti hoops and SW chips
1 chocolate (2 syns?)

Went to the gym, although I'm not sure it was a good idea... I managed just 2km on the treadmill before my leg was too sore to carry on, so I did about 1km on the arc trainer (first time I'd used one-knackering but low impact) and 2km rowing. Burned 330 calories in total so all good :)

Hope I'm not going to be lame tomorrow!

Hehe, I don't know about that - I was dreading the prospect of the gym being full of new-years-resolutioners but luckily it was as empty as it was before Christmas! Limping a bit this morning but not too bad!

Wednesday - green :)

Breakfast - rice pudding (HexA) with ginger and banana

Lunch - SW minestrone

Snacks - pear, apple

Dinner - Homity pie (HexB for cheese, HexB for added prawns)

Evening Snacks - Chocolate (15-20 syns worth?)

Might go to the gym again for a bit - we'll see how I feel later :)

Well done on getting back to the gym! Slowly but surely is the way to go, so you dont hurt! Go girl :)

Didn't make it to the gym, but WILL DO TONIGHT INSTEAD :)
Although I'm limping even more this morning after Tuesday's session, so will stick to rowing and the other non-impact machines! All a bit experimental 'cos I've not really got that much gym experience and don't know much about all the different machines.
Anyone got any tips on good machines to use?

Plan for today:
Breakfast - rice pudding, banana
Lunch - Leftover homity pie and some leftover minestrone, fruit
Dinner - pasta with veg sauce and grated cheese
GYM GYM GYM!
Evening strategy - slice of toast with peanut butter, fromage frais with frozen berries

Got a buffet lunch at work but I'm going to ignore it (maybe nick some fruit though). To be honest it's usually very beige and unappetising anyway :)
