Advice for the PrawnchopSuey

Chocolate really is your enemy isn't it? I always find it much harder to accept binges which happen for no reason... At least if you've had a terrible day at work or some bad news, or you're ill then it's explainable!
Don't worry though - if you stick to plan all weekend I'm sure you'll be fine! And you'll still have that bikini bod in no time!

Thank you for your support! I don't know what's wrong with me sometimes, but I really need to get a grip! Maybe I need to prepare more SW-friendly 'nibbles' that I can steal from the fridge to curb the urges...

Line has been drawn now anyway and even by adding up the mountain of syns I scoffed yesterday I'm on track for the week synwise, so I should still deserve a loss provided I have no more blow-outs before Monday!

You'll be fine I'm sure - you seem to cope pretty well at the weekends (unlike some of us!) so you're bound to have a good loss - especially if your shred arrives by Monday too...

Those binges that creep up on you throw you aren't they? But, like you said, you're still on track syn wise so try not to worry too much. Hope you're dvd arrives soon.xx

I echo what the others have said - these things happen!!!..... but you are still within your syns so all should be fine! Thank goodness for those contingency syns! :D :D

Have a good weekend and good luck for Monday :)

I know exactly what you mean about a switch going off with binges. It sounds rubbish but it feels like someone else is in control of what you eat for a while (maybe thats just me but I think thats what its like!). You've done the best thing by being so honest and writing it down and if its in your syns for the week then absolutely no problem :) But even if its not in your syns (I know I tend to be more likely to binge on a monday when WI is on tuesday and I have no syns left!) then at least you're practising getting back on plan asap!

Hope you have a lovely weekend :)

Thank you ladies! It is a real issue for me, but I guess I just have to keep trying :)

:) Friday - green

Breakfast - banana and apple

Lunch - cup-a-pasta, 2 ryvita and 57g philidelphia light (1.5 HexBs), 2 rice cakes (2 syns)

Snacks - 2 pears, apple

Dinner - Rice nuggets in herby tomato sauce (2 syns for flour in rice nuggets, HexA x 2 for grated cheese)

Back to a reasonable amount of syns today. Didn't make it to the gym as we went for a mosey round The Car People this evening. Still thinking of trading my car in for one with better fuel economybutI am rubbish at making decisions! Thinking a polo (but don't know if they're worth the extra cost a VW badge entails), punto or modus at the moment.

My 30 day shred DVD arrived today! I might have a go at it this weekend but I won't start the 30-day challenge properly until I get back from Milan on 30 March :)

Have a good weekend everyone - I've got a meal out tomorrow but am going to try and make good choices....

:) Saturday - green

Brunch - quorn sausages, eggs, baked beans and 55g wholemeal bread (HexB)

Snacks - apple, banana, pear

Dinner - Chiquitos - food TBC, got a HexA and HexB spare plus my syns, will try to make sensible choices!

Got up this morning and thought I'd give the 'shred' a go before I jumped in the shower. I did Level 1. It wasn't nearly as bad as I was dreading... I think I struggle more with really intense cardio workouts and this one mixes things up a lot so you don't get TOO out of breath. I can definitely feel my muscles have been worked though, especially my arms and pecs so I am sure I will be whinging about the aching tomorrow :)

Update - I had chilli con habas, basically bean chilli with rice so am feeling quite saintly! There would have been syns in the tortilla chips that decorated the plate and the dollop of sour cream on top though, but well within 15 I reckon. Drank diet coke and managed to avoid a McFlurry stop on the way home!! :)

Did day 2 of the shred this morning. My arms and pecs are so sore I can hardly raise my arms above elbow height now! My flabby arms are a problem area though, so as long as it gets results it's all good :)

:) Sunday - green

Brunch - muller light, banana, fibre plus bar (HexB)

Dinner - quorn sausages with mashed potato (made with philidelphia - HexB) and onion gravy (4 syns)
Solero (5 syns)

Well done on a fab weekend!!
Good luck tomorrow, I'm sure you'll be rewarded with a fab loss!

Morning!

2lbs off for me this week :)
And I got up at 6.15 to squeeze in day 3 of the shred before work so my halo is shining!!

Even if the rest of me is in pain! I seem to develop a new ache every time I do it. After my first attempt my arms and pecs started to ache, the next time my quads hurt and now my inner thighs have joined the party. It's strangely addictive though; I guess because all the aching motivates me that the results WILL be fast ;)
I think I need to try and keep going to the gym too though for cardio / fat-burning as while the shred seems like it'll be fab for toning I don't think it will help get the lbs of fat off.

Feeling motivated and aiming to STS next week (got a long weekend in Milan for work so this might be pushing it...)

Woo well done on your loss!! And well deserved too.
Wow that is impressive on the shred front, and good planning in advance of your long weekend in Milan (wow Milan I'm not jealous at all - I LOVE Italy so much!)

Yaaaay on the 2lb loss! Brilliant! and well done on the shredding! Did you take your pre-shred measurement? I'm intrigued to see how much a difference this can make! I agree on still going to the gym (or Bootcamp for me) for the cardio workout though.

When do you go to Milan? You get to go to some fab places with your work!! Very jealous!

Have you made any decisions on the car yet? I wish I could get a new one - mine is WAY past it's best by date - it's like a skip on wheels haha!.....I'm not the best owner or driver though so my OH has insisted I keep this one until I've ran it into the ground!! Hey-ho!

Have a fabby time in Milan (as much as work will allow anyway….) :D

Woo hoo ! Well done on your weight loss this week :) Good job!!!

Thank you! I actually feel a bit less achey now than this morning so I'm hoping I'm getting through the level 1 barrier...Although I'm not starting the 30 days properly until next Wednesday so this is all just a trial!

I've got Saturday afternoon and evening and Sunday morning to mooch about and visit Milan. I figured if I had to travel onh Sunday anyway I may as well go on Saturday and get a mini-break out of it too! I've got myself a time out guide book so I'm trying to plan what to see and do. I think I might well find that the clothes don't go up to sizes as big as I need. But there's always handbags and shoes!

I've found a car! It's a Renault Modus. Just a smallish hatchback but should be cheaper to run that my current, 2 litre-engined batmobile :)

Ha ha, thanks OddSock, but it's just last week's gain that I've managed to shake off, seem to be a bit up and down since Christmas with no real overall loss. Oh well, onwards and downwards!

:) Monday - green

Breakfast - rice pudding (HexA) with ginger and banana

Lunch - tomato mugshot, ryvita and philidelphia (HexB x 2), apple

Snack - apple, pear, mini flake (3.5 syns)

Dinner - noodles and sweetcorn
Mini flake (3.5 syns)

Right, off to bed, going to try and drag myself out of bed for a pre-work shred tomorrow. maybe?

Beat the alarm out of bed again!! Day 4 shredded and the aching is MUCH reduced today, WOOHOO!!
Going to go to the gym tonight when I get in from work too, or maybe for a bike ride depending on how light / sunny it is :)
