Ally's Diary - take two

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!! RESIST THE URGE! Pretend its hardened poop. That'll put you right off!

I have got my gum out, i won't eat it. Even though i bet it even hardened poop tastes better than this strawberry gum, wish i bought my usual spearmint now.

I thought i'd give it a try...tastes more like vomit than strawberry though.

It is possible, we shall see next week i guess...and since i am (probably) going for a 10 mile walk up in a hill on sunday, i will be mega annoyed if i don't lose/lose 0.5lb

I'm starting to get really nervous about going doctors even though its not til tomorrow, usually aches and pains don't bother me, but knowing my Nanna, Great Uncle, Aunt and Dad (along with a few others) all had/have this rare genetic disease which over years causes paraplegia, and seeing my my dad and aunt start with it in their hips, and my aunt now struggles to walk... my nanna ended up in a wheelchair after 25 years of struggling to walk....i know i'm going to end up being tested for it, and as much as I try and look on the positive and tell myself its just a pulled muscle, i know i have the classic first symptoms and with 7 out of 9 people up my dads/nannas side all having it i know its likely to be that. But hey, on the bright side apparently most people only get to the stuggle walking stage and not the wheelchair bound stage, but whatever i'll deal with all that when i get to it! ...and i'll be the youngest in the family to start with it, my aunt was 35, dad 50, nanna 49, great uncle 76...and then me, aged 24!

Anyway enough of the sob story. My mum just hit me with the fact that i need to ask about my cholestrol to cos hers is high so mine could be too...but that means blood tests, i only have 2 major phobias...moths and blood tests...might not bother mentioning it! Suppose i should ask about my PCOS too since i havent been for my 3 month checkup in over 6 months, but i don't want to go back on the pill and definitely dont want to go on the mini pill again...so might accidentally for about that one too...

On a side note, i am hungry. Still over an hour til lunch boooo

Hope you are worrying unnecessarily about the docs but I suppose it's better to know than to worry whatever the outcome. :D

You should know by now i worry unnecessarily, i ALWAYS go for worst case scenario haha

Dont worry too much hun! And if it doesnt look too good after your appointment tomorrow, at least you will have found out earlier on and hopefully get it sorted! Try to stay on the positive side!

I keep trying to forget about it, however my hip keeps sending out subtle reminders :p

Ooo i figured out my fitness pal password...changed it since i last used it, i've wanted to see how many calories i've been having for ages, so going to log my food in there for a while

It may well be doom and gloom...BUT it might also be the treadmill - I suffer with really tight hips from cycling and running, when it is playing up it causes a dull ache that can increase to sharp pain on running. This is also made worse by sitting at a desk all day. It may be that all you need is to stretch it out! Just saying...also not mentioning 'it' (whatever the 'it may be) is probably not a great idea! It is always better to 'fess up and get things sorted. :)

Ditto the treadmill. My disc problem showed up through hip pain also (as did my friends). We both thought it was a hip problem, but turned out in both cases to be the bottom disc. Actually on reflection, that possibility probably doesn't sound too good either, but be reassured we were both sorted out ok!

Actually, I tend to put off getting stuff checked, even though I know I should. I nag my OH, & ignore it myself!

I've had the pain long before i got the treadmill (which i haven't been on in 3 weeks cos i've got into my lazy routine) i just haven't done anything about it. I initially thought i'd had it 4 months, but i haven't 3x that amount might be closer. I have some of the other symptoms too, so i do hope its something "simple" like a disc, but i think i've known for a while that its more than likely not, but hey won't find out til i get checked i suppose. And I a speak i have cramp in my foot for no reason (another classic symptom) Anywayyyyyy i'm on an EE day, but we have a drastic lack of superfree food, so i shall just have to do my bestest

Breakfast: choc porridge, muller greek yog
Lunch: chicken tikka salad (only had a bit of it though), sainsburys chicken tikka pieces, mango, kiwi,, activia yog, pom bears
Tea: spaghetti carbonara

Hea: milk
Heb: porridge

I got roped into going Leeds Festival last night too, only for one day not the whole weekend though. One of my fave bands, Green Day are headlining so i was umming and ahhing over going, but the rest that are on are rubbish, but my friends going and she managed to talk me into going, damn £97 for a day ticket! I suppose Green Day are worth it...even if i am seeing them once already this year.

Ok what can i get for lunch...instead of picking my salad up i've actually picked the box with the laughing cows/babybels in it DOH. NB: Always check which box you've picked up. Hmmm jacket spud, of tuna pasta off the sandwich guy...

Got a chicken tikka salad off the sandwich man...it has mint yogurt and mango chutney with it though...will attempt to eat round that i think!
