Beegee's Green Day Diary

Thanks Sausage - it is a good one isn't it! More fairground rides to follow during next week at the seaside - bring it on!

I gained 0.4kg this week - about a pound, which is absolutely fine and I'm expecting another gain next week when we get back from holiday. After that, I've decided that a realistic target would be to get to 7 stone lost by Christmas. At my recent losing rate (virtually nothing!) it is enough to be a challenge but at the same time attainable. I'm such a saddo - I'm even looking forward to getting back to it properly and having a fresh start and a new goal!

Belated birthday wishes Beegee ! :) :) :)

Hi Sausage,

All fine thanks - back from hols yesterday having had a very naughty week! I decided to not worry about the diet while we were away which is a decision I was fine with because I knew it was only for a limited time and every day I thought about my new target - 7 stone by Christmas. My new start is tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it. It was nice to not think about the diet for a week and to just have an ice-cream or something without feeling bad but that is now over and the hard work starts again!

Hope you're doing ok. Am off to check out your diary now x

OK, I've weighed in this morning to signal my new start. I've gained 1.7kg (3.7lbs) - fine, I think it was well worth it! So I'm 83.6kg which means I'm no longer in the 12's (which made me go -yikes!) and I'm just about clinging to my 6 stone sticker. Time for action!!

Have started today with mango, grapes, mandarin and yogurt will fill in the rest of my very pure diary later on as usual.

Great attitude Beegee..... I'm sure with your new focus that'll be gone very soon and you'll be well on your way to the 7stone :)

Thanks Gobolino! This morning I'm back down to 82kg so you may be right :D!!

So, yesterday was in the end an EE day I think:

Snack: banana

L: Jacket potato, beans & salad. Grapes, yogurt.

Snack: cheese (hexa) and marmite roll (hexb)

D: Meatfree fillet, new potatoes, cauli, brocolli, green beans, red cabbage, gravy (2)

I've been going carb crazy today. My daughter has been driving me utterly nuts and making me want to reach for the biscuits in a big way. I haven't, but needed something of substance. Not my finest hour, but better than veering off plan!

B: Yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, nectarine, grapes, mandarin.

L: Meatfree fillet and salad roll (hexb), salad cream (0.5). Mugshot. Nectarine, grapes, strawberrries. Yogurt.

Snack: Ainsley couscous (1.5)

D: Red pepper, mushroom, bamboo shoots, baby corn, carrot and quorn stirfry, szechuan sauce (3) and rice.

Milk (hexa), Fibre Plus (hexb)

Back to school tomorrow thank goodness so my stress levels should return to normal!

OK, I'm over the carb fest and have moved onto a bean fest. At least they're super-speed!

Weds:

Snack: pears, baked beans (left over from kids tea!)

D: Pasta with veg and tomato sauce, cheese (hexa).
Fibre Plus (hexb)

I think I'm doing ok, I'm certainly glad to be back on the 'way of life' and am not missing my freestyle diet of last week. It's almost as if it never happened!

Friday:

B: Banana, nectarine, melon, yogurt

L: Wholewheat pasta, mushrooms, pasata, fresh basil, parmesan (1/4 hexa!) huge mound of salad. Yogurt.

Snack: nectarine, pear, toast (hexb) and honey (1)

D: Chickpea dahl with extra veg and rice.
Highlights (2), Alpens (hexb)

Had milk in 2 coffees to bump up hexa a bit!

I do - but it's annoying now. I did it to start with because I didn't understand them and couldn't face knowing what I was in stones and pounds which I understood only too well! However, since I started losing and really getting into it I convert my stats into stones, pounds anything going really. Unfortunately I can't change it on the SW site so I still have to log my weight in kilos. It's annoying isn't it!

Quick weekend catch up ...

Saturday:

B: Yogurt, banana, melon, strawberries

L: Pasta and sauce, cheese (hexa), extra mushroom, sweetcorn, spinach

Snacks: wine (6), crisps (5)

D: Cidre (11 - yikes, looked this up and was a bit shocked. It's nice, but so not worth the syns), chinese takeaway (25)
Chocolate (5)

Sunday:

B: Yogurt, mango, banana, grapes, strawberries

L: Quorn lamb steaks, jacket potato, salad, peas and corn. Mayo (2), ketchup (1). Bite of cake (2)

Snack: toast (hexb) and honey (1.5)

D: Pasta with pasata, basil, corn, mushrooms, green beans, red pepper, cheese (hexa)

Highlights (2), Oaty bar (hexb)

Hooray - week 73 finished and I'm back on it properly with 75 syns for the week. It's been easier than I thought to put the August excess behind me and I've enjoyed being back on plan. Last week I had moments of doubt that it would be easy to get back to it, so I'm relieved that the plan is good enough to make me want to come back to it!

Monday:

B: Mango, nectarine, kiwi, yogurt, pear

Snack: banana

L: Savoury rice, mixed veg, mushrooms, beans, pepper, cheese (hexa). Activia yogurt.

Snack: Toast (hexb), margarine (0.5), half a breadstick (0.5)

D: Peppered steak, mash, brocolli, cauli, cabbage, carrots, gravy (2)
Fibre Plus (hexb)

They're the Weetabix ones. 1 for a hexb. They come in toffee (my fave) or milk / white chocolate. They're ok for a change from Alpens or Fibre Plus so I buy them when they're on offer.
