I thought to put the August excess behind me and I've enjoyed being back on plan. Last week I had moments of doubt that it would be easy to get back to it, so I'm relieved that the plan is good enough to make me want to come back to it!
hi beegee this is so how i feel i was worried that i wouldn't get back on plan after last week but here i am back to it, ur food sounds delicious i have decided i need to make more effort with my cooking i need to plan ahead a bit more rather than leaving it to chance, good luck hun xx

Hi all, I've been rubbish at updating my diary but am chuffed at how well all my cyber friends are getting on - even if I'm still dragging my heels somewhat!

Val - good to hear that you're back on it. I knew you would be! That loaf was a very understandable final fling, I'm glad that you're so positive about being back on plan now and I have lots of bits crossed that you are soon at target x

In 'food news', I had a very alcoholic saturday night. It was night out with hubby time as I had my parents in to babysit and it was very wine oriented. Uh oh. Had a bottle and a half of red (42 syns-ish) which I am totally unused to these days and was in absolute bits. My poor body went into melt down and I had gut rot for 24 hours. I think it wondered what the hell was going on as I'm such a temple these days (ha ha!) On the plus side, while unconventional, it may not have had too much effect on my weight as most of it wasn't in me long enough to do any damage! Enough details now I think .

Anyway, I'm still enthusiastic about being on plan even though I'm not seeing much in the way of results. Every monday I look forward to having a clean slate and starting my new week. Am starting to think I'm a bit weird ...!

Today has been like this:

B: Yogurt, banana, kiwi, plums, Crunchy Bran (hexb)

L: Wholewheat pasta, pasata, musrooms, peppers, cheese (hexa). Activia yogurt.

Snack: Melon & Pineapple, a couple of nibbly things like a bite of cake and a little chocolate animal (3)

D: Quorn steak, carrots, cauli, brocolli, roast potatoes, gravy (2)
Fibre Plus (hexb)

B: Banana, yogurt, pineapple, melon, grapes

L: Wholewheat pasta, pasata, mushrooms, red pepper, green beans, cheese (hexa). Activia snackpot. Chocolate (1)

Snack: Plums, pineapple, toast (hexb) and honey (1)

D: I'm no good at making curry, but had a bash at it this evening anyway. Chucked in some lentils, carrots, cauli, mushrooms, pepper, tomato puree (1), pasata and a random assortment of herbs and spices. Had to serve with a massive dollop of fromage frais as I think I was a bit heavy handed with the chilli powder, but it was ok for one of my efforts. I've certainly done a heck of a lot worse.

Oaty Bar (hexb)

Wednesday:

B: Banana, yogurt, pineapple, melon, strawberries

L: Light Choices Creamy Mushroom Pasta (2.5) with big salad. Activia pot. Chocolate (1)

Snack: grapes, carrot, quorn deli slices, breadstick (1)

D: Pasta bake (hexa x1.5)

Going to get a Highlights (2) and a Fibre Plus (hexb) in a minute

I'm feeling quite virtuous at the moment because I'm doing more walking than usual. My son has started pre-school so I've got an extra school run which works out about 45 minutes over and above what I do already. Hooray. I'm feeling a bit more 'streamlined' for it already although (obviously) am not significantly lighter - yet!

Yeah, it wasn't great. Like I said, I'm no Madhur Jaffrey (sp?) and never will be! I thought because it's used in aloo gobi it would be ok. WRONG!!

Nice one on the curry :) and on the extra walking :) Good job!

I'm tempted by the curry book myself!!!

Mm those pakoras do look good don't they!

Thanks Val, I'm doing ok this week. I've had a loss - 2.5lbs which is great :). I'm just hoping that my downward trend continues rather than stalls as it did before holiday. All I can do is hang in and keep going.

I've worked out my christmas target means getting to 77 kilos, I'm currently 81.8. It sounds hardly anything when you say it like that yet I know it will be a killer and I'll have to fight for every ounce!

I'm claiming an NSV of sorts today. My daughter had a friend round for tea and they were an utter pain in the ar*e. Not naughty exactly, just loud, hyper, cheeky etc and after a couple of hours I was ready to hurt someone! Instead of shovelling their left over pizza into my gob (very tempting) I thought I'd have something like a mugshot or couscous pot. Then as it was in my hand, I imagined my chum Sausage doing this :nono: as I confessed all in my diary, so I put it down and had some grapes and a couple of spoons of the chilli I was making for dinner. Result! It's really interesting finding out what my triggers are for over-eating. I never thought about it before SW, now I have to think about it and it's great and quite enlightening.

Anyway, enough waffle. Today has been:

B: Yogurt, pineapple, melon, strawberries

Snack: Toast (hexb), flora (0.5)

Lunch: Jacket potato, beans, huge salad including pickled onions, beetroot, radishes and leaves. Plums. Activia yogurt. Chocolate (1)

Snack: Grapes

Dinner: Bean, veg and mince chilli with rice and cheese (hexa)
Oaty bar (hexb) & Highlights (2)

Friday:

B: Yogurt, banana, mango, strawberries, kiwis.

L: Ooh, get how interesting I am. I made roast carrot hummus! I'm going through a load of old recipe mags and making a big file to flick through and this one was there just at the right time. Had it with ryvita (hexb) and salad. Activia. Chocolate (1)

Snack: Light choices couscous pot (1)

D: Spag bol, cheese (hexa). B&J frozen yogurt (5)

Big [STRIKE]Brother[/STRIKE] Sausage is watching you! :peep:

Good job if the thought of you reprimanding me is enough to deter me from eating gratuitously! Keep up the good work Brother Sausage!

Saturday:

L: Pasta and Sauce with extra veg and cheese (hexa). Yogurt.

Snack: 1 Alpen (half hexb). Pringles (8)

Sunday:

B: Banana, plums, strawberries, pineapple, yogurt

L: Roast carrot hummus, ryvitas (hexb). Yogurt. Chocolate (1.5)

D: Quorn fish fingers (6), wedges, beans. Mikado (2)
