Beegee's Green Day Diary

Thanks Val & Lisa x

Weigh in went well as I lost 4lbs . Most unheard of for me, but there were some mitigating circumstances ... I had my unexpected gain last week which was put right, but also I barely ate anything on the day before weigh in as I was stressing and I can't eat when I'm stressing. So I think I was unusually 'empty' by thursday morning iyswim which gave me a boost. So, as long as I remember to starve myself next wednesday too I'll be fine!

On the plus side, I'll take the loss with open arms as it nets me my 42kg / 6.5 stone award and puts me at (just) under 80kg. So hooray! :D

Wednesday was like this:

B: none

L: pasta with veg and part hexa of cheese. Nectarines. Yogurt.

D: Root vegetable casserole and brown rice.

Thursday:

Back to normal (not stressing so much!)

B: Pear, banana, nectarines, pineapple, yogurt

L: Savoury rice with lots of extra veg. Yogurt.

Snack: Toast (hexb) with flora & honey (2)

D: Pasta bake (hexa)

Will probably have something else synful or healthy (extra) later.

BTW Lisa - my coleslaw is about the same. I either use fromage frais (for syn-free!), ex light salad cream or mayo mixed in with cabbage (white or red if I'm being adventurous!), carrots & onion. I've never added paprika though - that sounds like a good idea. I would really begrudge the syns on a shop bought coleslaw as I think this is much better. It is a bit of a ball ache chopping it all up though. Every time I do it I think of SS and her little mini chopper and think I should get one!

Well done.... Brrrrrrilliant xxx

Amazing loss Beegee - well done! I love the colour on your 6.5 stone award :) :) :)

Aw thanks for your kind words everyone, it's so nice to have the support on here!

I have, however, been busy undoing all my hard work this weekend as it's been my daughter's birthday. I've had a party for her friends, a party for family and a trip to Disney on Ice and have generally relaxed a bit this weekend without going OTT. We had a pizza party and I had about 3 slices and stuff like pasta and cous cous salads (from pots! syns!!) and I had a little bit of birthday cake (more syns!)

Generally I was pretty pleased with myself though as I kept a certain degree of control, didn't go on a mega binge just had a 'normal life' weekend and am back on it today. Oops, just remembered that after having 14 of her friends to a party and them all being soooooo excited and loud that I had 3 very large bacardi's when I got home (15 syns - yikes) By that stage though, it was virtually medicinal, I was a wreck. Please remind me at this time next year - no parties.

Week 80 !

Monday:

B: Banana, melon, yogurt, Crunchy Bran (hexb)

L: Savoury rice with extra veg. Yogurt

D: Using up left overs, made a weird concoction - dairylea blue cheese squares (hexa), quorn ham, mushrooms, onions, linguine, sprinkle of parmesan. It was like a really rubbish carbonara. Not totally gross, but I wouldn't particularly recommend it!

Tuesday:

B: Banana, melon,kiwi, orange, yogurt

L: Savoury rice, beans, veg, cheese (hexa). Yogurt.

D: Another weird concoction - chickpea, sweet potato and carrot cajun-y, moroccan-y stew with rice. Basically chopped the veg, simmered in pasata and spices. It was ok, probably better than the pasta.

I haven't had a hexb yet, may get an oaty bar in a minute with a highlights. I've got a stinking cold and feel the need for a bit of tlc.

I'm using stuff up as I'm away until the weekend now - visiting the inlaws in a holiday cottage on the south coast. I'm hoping to stay mostly on plan and am armed with mugshots, alpens, pasta and sauce etc. I think I may weigh in tomorrow morning a day early, otherwise I'll miss it this week. Guess that may be preferable if my weekend has caught up with me though!

That sounds lovely. I love one pot wonders :D

Sounds like you did well not to neck the whole bottle of bacardi after the party lol Get well soon and have fun at the seaside :)

Thanks Val x I'm still by the seaside and clinging to plan by a thread. The days have been fine, nights more of a challenge as there has been a Chinese takeaway and I've just got back from a Beefeater where I accidentally ordered nachos rather than melon. Oops. Am not expecting great things from weigh in next week!

I stayed the same this week which is good considering the party last week. Roll on next week so I can get back to normal!

In more positive news, I bought some new jeans in a 14 and they fit! Granted they're quite stretchy but I can do them up without lying down and i can also move about in them. I also have to take back a 16 top as it's too big - hooray! Now for gawds sake get me back on that wagon before it all goes wrong and nothing fits me again!

That's what I thought, it could happen to anyone ;) I don't feel too bad as I was so pure during the days I didn't think it would tip me too far over the edge.

D: Chickpea dahl and extra veg with rice

I've had a very good week so far, only used 14 syns so have a few in the bank for the weekend. I'm off to the Harvester for lunch today which will be ok - Jambalaya stack and salad bar and will have a few nibbly bits this evening with fireworks at home. That's assuming I can get some fireworks ... do you think there will be any left in Sainsbury's this morning?! I'm going to be in big trouble if not!
