Beelishy's VLCD Weight Loss Adventure!!

Been suuuch a busy morning! Doctors appointment for Tabby, then we went round the shops a bit til it was time for Toddler Tales at the library - which she loved. Stories, crafty stuff, colouring in. Fab! Then we popped in to see hubby at work. Then on the bus home. Just got in and let her help me make her fruit salad for lunch. She "chopped" with a butter knife (more like flung the fruit all over haha bless) and now shes playing and watching dora. Z is asleep in her buggy still! haha. I havent been hungry either...WOOHOO.

Just having my first porridge of the day and its nearly lunch time, really. 11:51! haha oops!

How is everyone getting on?

Ive got to. I never stick to anything or give it long enough...so I said when I started (re-started) on 1st Sept that I would stick it out until Christmas and then decide whether to continue or to change in the new year. And I will see it through. Ive had to tweak it a bit for myself but the next few days should tell me if this is the right thing to do, as far as...adding the extra pack for a bit more cals and carbs. So we shall see. :D So far Im very pleased. How are you getting on?
 
I'm doing ok so far. Bit of a wobble last week but didn't give in - came close though!!

***** wept. 244.2 - how?? Im getting reallllly fed up now. Stuck to my plan rigidly. And I gained 1.2lbs? Really?

Going to stick with it. Same food plan today as yesterday. Surely something has got to give eventually if I stick at it? *sigh*
 
I think daily weighing doesn't give you true results. Your body can contain water more one day then another. Certain foods and vegetables could be taking a little longer to fully digest or be making you retain water. Caffeine can also effect this. Plus there's the 'toilet' issue. If you keep going and forget what numbers you see every day and focus on the weekly weigh in number and let that be your guide. Don't let the mean scales ruin your day!!

It doesnt usually bother me to see a bit of a fluctuation up....but I havent really lost anything much in 4 weeks. Granted, Ive had a few blips along the way. But since Thursday last week I have been spot on....and its just frustrating. Im ok now. Been to the loo *ahem* and feel a lot better. However, even though TOTM finished only 10 days ago...I seem to be very slightly spotting....and my abdomen is a bit crampy/tender. I really would love to just have a normal cycle. Ugh. At least I dont feel like a failure now. lol. Its most definitely just my body being awkward and playing up. I have to just let it do what it is going to do....and control what I can..which is the food I eat (or dont!). So onward I go!

Had a porridge, 2 babybel lights and my spag bol plus 2 coffees and 2L of water. Going to have a bit more water and then take my girls in for a nap. I dont think I got more than 1 full night's sleep last night as Zoe woke up almost EVERY night for some reason. So I was awake for a good few hours every night through the night and this week..its really caught up with me. I was so glad she slept through last night..but of course the loo was calling at 1:30am (always between 1 and 2am! so weird) and again by about 6. Looking forward to a nice cozy nap with my babies. :) It was sunny for about an hour but that has gone now and the wind has picked up again, too. Perfect duvet kinda weather! :D (although, admittedly, quite mild for this time of year!)

Broken record is back again..... 243.2 (again). Im glad, dont get me wrong. But I really need to start making some further progress. lol.

2 x A&C Porridge
2 x babybel light
1 egg and 2 egg whites, scrambled
1 x Chili pack with sprouts

Coffee, water.


Total cals 979 and carbs 74g

Aww Kelly i hope you are feeling a little more better today. Do you celebrate thanksgiving, i thought it was just an american holiday. Ive got some of slim and saves mulled wine water flavour and i heat it up in the microwave for a couple of minutes and that reminds me of christmas and spices. You must try some out for yourself hun. I got three pots for under a tenner because i think they have some sort of deal on at the moment. Get it while you can. Ive not done too bad over the past few days i just seem to be getting really used to the plan now, feels like its just becoming a way of life. Went swimming yesterday and just having the smallest bit of exercise really lifted my mood. I may start thinking of doing this every so often xoxo
 
Hiya....yes I celebrate Thanksgiving...I live in the uk....but Im American :D

Im feeling ok but getting to the point where I really need to see some decent progress...its been 4 weeks and not much has happened. lol. I know Ive been a bit naughty here and there...but really...every week, Ive still had a MASSIVE calorie deficit...so it shold be moving. Ive been spot on for over a solid week now and as of this morning, was only officially 2lbs down for the week. Which normally would be fine, but really...Ive only dropped 2lbs in the last 4 weeks anyway..so..yeah. Need a bit better than that. Im just going to plug on til weigh in and see how I do officially for the week. :)

Funny you should mention the mulled wine stuff. I have never had it before...not a drinker, really. BUT...exante had a competition a few days ago to win a little pot of their new mulled wine water flavouring and i WON hahaha. I got it yesterday and tried it....yuck! do. not. like. hahaha

anyway.

Im about to go have my last pack of the day....and then i will have a bit of water left and a coffee for the evening.

Feeling really pre-TOTM-y again. its just not right *sob* lol.
 
Just catching up, I know it's up and down but you're consistently below 245 now and you were previously creeping above 250 so I think you're doing great!!

I'll be back on Monday proper, moaning, whining and generally being a big baby!!!!

Hellooo Kelly, every pound helps even though its 2lbs at least your still going the right way.
Well done on winning the competition, sorry you didnt like the mulled wine. I think you need to stop weighing yourself everyday and start doing it weekly otherwise you may get upset with your daily weighing all the time. Hope your okay today x
 
No...trust me. Ive been weighing daily for years. lol. Its much better when I do weigh daily. If we say I hadnt weighed and I get to weigh in on Sunday and happened to have fluctuated up to 245 again on that morning but hadnt weighed the rest of the week prior....then I would assume that i stayed the same and it would drive me mad...whereas, if we get to sunday and Im at 245 again (still) ....this way i will at least know that something is happening...its going up and also DOWN and that the week wasnt a waste. Its just the way my mind works and it works best for me. So for the week, at this point, ive lost a pound...which makes a total of 3lbs off in over 4 weeks. Thats just not good enough, considering how restrictive the diet is and the fact ive got just under 5 stone still to lose. Something isnt right. And even if you factor in the few blips ive had (none in over a week though)...the calorie deficit is huge...so there should be a bit more lost. My body is obviously fighting it. Its averaging at less than a pound a week. So I will see what Sunday brings. And decide what to do from there. :)
