Good "test" -- and you resisted. My problem is that old "people are starving in..." it is always so hard for me to waste stuff. I used to be garbage disposal for my kid's uneaten meals.

Hi Bel,

Doing okay -- have a weigh in this morning that was bumped from 10 to 11:30 and am hoping it will show the nearly two pounds that my scales reflected yesterday. However, yesterdays weigh in was first thing in the morning and in knickers. Hummm.

The losses are going even slower than I anticipated... I am going to have to make time to amp up the fitness/exercise in order to speed up the losses. I wasn't in any huge hurry initially (upon restart) -- but now I am going to Texas in April and want to be maintaining when I get there. I am already googling a WW meeting near my sister's house for support whilst in the US. (Thanks to your suggestion.)

That is one YouTube video I do not think I'd want to watch. LOL

I gave my CDC a canister of the FFL Cappucino shake mix. She was quite curious about the American CD prodcuts. I did not care for that flavour -- so, I passed it on to her. I am sticking with Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla when i order form the States. However, I am getting quite a stock pile of UK products as I still buying 21 from her weekly -- but making up my own oatmeal (can't stomach their's), and having a South Beach Bar (ordered from the States) instead of one of theirs... then I am having two CD products a day. The calories are still under 1,000 and the carbs are low enough for me stay in ketosis -- and according to the research I should lose the same as if I was doing a true VLCD.

I think I am losing slower this time because a) I had 2.5 stone to lose, not 5, b) I am building up my exercise levels to the 3 times I week I think I need to lose, then maintain, c) I am two years older and d) my body has probably not reset from the first VLCD and so my metabolism is slowed from that.

My bmi is currently around 27 -- and I noticed when I did LL, that the closer I got to goal the slower the losses.

What I can and will do -- is work harder to get all the water in (it makes a huge difference... pun intended). And, I am going to really make a effort to up the exercise. I am planning to do the Wednesday morning Aquafit with my neighbour. She went with me to last night's class. She had a good time. I am very proud of her -- she not been to the gym in five years and she is over 70.

Ok changed my mind, I do not fancy another 6 hours in front of the computer at UNi manipulating and collecting digital images..especially since I can do that at home. and my lighting is warmer ....by the time I left the digital studio yesterday I was headachy and cross eyed.:mad:

also I want to
1-finish the current workbook questions
2-use the enema kit
3-turn on the treamill while I watch a movie and see if this pedometer thing works
4- have a dead sea salt bath mediation
5-clean house-including the kitchen floor again- cleaning the kitchen floor is my therapy
6-and do my digital imagaging
7- don't know if this will happen but if I sleep early I can get out early or late depending and do some night walking
8- find my compact digital camera
9-listen in on some prosperity meetings and talk about health and vitality..see if I can find a phone buddy
10-something suprising.

Hi Mel,

stockpiling was one of the issues which made me feel on balance I would have to use WW for support and weigh ins also WW is flexible enough to 'hold me' from 380-1,500 cals. I still have a box of butterscotch that I felt I ought to buy from from my old CDC when I went for my water flavourings..and could not see myself going there and just pcking 10 bars every so often, I would 'feel' that I should buy stock even thoughI do not like the formula.

can you not buy 14 instead or 21 since you are only taking 2 aday?

My favourite of all the bars is
jay robb coconut and cashew bar
second is the myoplex strawberry bar, followed by the atkins peanut bar.

I have never had the south beach bars.


I did not know one could stay in ketosis as high as 1000 caloris intake a day- unless one was exerising pretty intensely?

Hi Bel,

Glad everything came put okay (pun intended). I guess a do-it-yourself enema is preferable to going and being exposed liek that to stranger. I know that as I am over 40, that I should have (by US medical standards) a coloscopy in near future. Not looking forward to that experience.

I think I am having more like 600 to 800 calories and keeping my carbs under 50 per day. It is low carb that causes ketosis -- people on Atkins (who can eat tons of meat and fat) go into ketosis. But, as soon as they start eating carbs they gain it back pretty fast.

Your last assignment was very thought provoking. "The Grass is Greener" -- is a mindset that will make oyu miserable.

How funny you used Star Trek as an example -- I've done that. I am remember that episode vividly: I could never accept that populations of two planets would simply accept the mandate that they die as a computer ordered it. It was so surreal, but in the year 2011... it seems possible.
