Blergh! - FatFairNForty(ish) - my diary

Well, just 2 days from weigh-in, house pretty much looking good, new bike waiting to be collected, and TOTM arrives! Blah!! Hate having these... make me feel so crappy for 2-3 days then great again.. am hoping that the paracetomol doesn't wear off too fast.

Left HWSNBN asleep in bed - suffering from his cold... must admit, he does cut a very sorry image when ill... it doesn't happen often (thank goodness) but last time he had the sniffles he cried!

I was asked at the weekend if I was getting counselling... lol... confirmation (were any needed) that I am clinically insane!
Further proof - choc mint muffin for breakfast... lol

Am at work but wishing I was soaking up some sun on a far-away island... I have always dreamt of the Maldives...but... only with someone who loves me and whom I love... that's the thing about dreams I guess... they are, for the most part, just that and stay that... a dream.

Right - I really MUST try and get my head into proper working mode as I am so distracted at the moment it's ridiculous!! My head is always more fluffy than ever during these first few hours... reckon it's the lack of blood... drains all my brain cells away with it.. mind you... that infers any present in the first place... hmm.. always some flaw in any plan or theory I guess...

Ok.. shutting up now... xxx
 
Ha if you think YOUR judgement in men is bad get yourself over to yesterdays post in my diary. A guy I've been involved with for over a year, moi gullible? :rolleyes:

Hope HWSNBN isn't too grumpy and hope the old period pains subside soon. There's a lot to be said for radiotherapy to the groin lol x
 
I wish I was in the sun somewhere as well.

The sun brings out biting insects here in Labrador. As I live in the centre of a forested area I guess I shouldn't really complain. It's miserable here raining and cold.


At least tonight is my last night then I will be on day's off until Monday.

Lol Cheryl... we would certainly have a giggle if we did go!

HWSNBN has sat in almost total silence glued to the telly since I got home... he's deeply engrossed in Neighbours and Summer Bay at this time of night...

I have watery eyes (cold type watery!!) so am going to dose up on paracetomol anyway and hopefully if I ignore the symptoms it will beggar off! No way I want to be off colour!

Went to see my nurse and great news! Blood pressure down loads! Still too high but fantastic drop!! She weighed me too and her scales show a loss of 12kgs in 2 weeks... which I'm not happy with as it ought to be more than that by my reckoning - mind you - TOTM notoriously can add 7lbs to my weight so I HAVE to psych myself into not being upset if the scales at my CDC's don't oblige with a decent loss!

I've been mad busy since leaving work and only now got time to sit and catch up with myself. I have plenty more to do, and, to help with bad tummy I'm going to have a warm bath and early night with a hot water bottle and my ipod...

I understand now why I was craving food so much at the weekend! Must make a note in diary to watch out for cravings next time TOTM is due...

I'm very frustrated with bike insurers as both companies I've approached for a quote are messing me about which means I cannot fetch my new bike yet!!

Grrrrrrr!!! Still, to be honest, with bad belly and tiredness that accompanies it, I guess another couple of days wouldn't hurt... as long as I have it for the weekend!! I have nothing in my diary for Sunday so, hopefully nice weather and a lovely tootle around and about... :D

Still need to find a name for my new baby... was considering Hannah (Hannah Hornet) ahhh! Got it! Hetty!! Hetty Hornet!! I will ride a few miles and see if it suits her...

I like it though... hmm... Hetty Hornet... has a certain ring to it doncha think?

Oh how I love being in the sunshine and just relaxing...

Sounds like you live in a beautiful place.. enjoy your days off!

Thanks for the good luck wishes.. I am hoping for a good one but will just accept whatever it is as I've stuck to it 100%... still, doesn't stop me hoping for good results...lol

 
Bedtime and another day done and dusted... can't believe it... 25 years ago today I got married for the first time... where have the years gone? Oh yeah - onto my bum and underarms and face and hair.. knew there was evidence of them... lol

Just watched an horrific programme (Panorama on beeb 1) about abuse and sat in tears and fury... not going to discuss as will get all upset again... suffice it to say, I want to put hidden cameras into every single place that "cares" for anyone!!!

Must go to bed... HWSNBN went up at 8pm and is sound asleep - he is pretty rough with this cold and I did offer to make him some dinner but he refused - might just do it tomorrow as he's not going to get better without feeding his body with nutrients!

Have arranged to pick my bike up tomorrow evening at 7pm!! Wish me luck!! I am soooo nervous and excited too! Haven't ridden in ages and am thinking of wearing a large green P plate on my back!!

Hopefully it will all come flooding back and I will love it! It will be a case of being thrown in at the deep end as I have asked HWSNBN to take me in his car to get her! Her! Her! lol I'm sure she will be a Hettie... Hetty... hmm... we'll see.. g'night xx

Wooohooooooooooooooo!!! I got my new baby!! I decided in the end to call her Hattie!
Was a bag of nerves when I rode her but that's just a confidence issue... she's lush! Going to ride her to work every day next week and on Friday going to ride her off into the sunset somewhere.. no idea where, but that's all the fun of biking! lol

Will try and put piccie up of her... weigh in tomorrow or I'd be riding her to work in the morning!! lol

I'm envious of your aquisition of Hetty - I'm still debating whether or not to purchase a new scooter (I certainly don't have the confidence for a bike with gears:eek:). I'm not sure I'm capable of riding for 40mins each way to my new job but the cost implications of parking might just tilt the balance

Congratulations on writing the 4,000th post on my diary! Wow!! As for Hattie (I decided she wasn't a Hetty after all)... she's wonderful but is going to take some getting used to! Scooters are, in many ways, harder to ride than bikes... but the key is to ride whatever you feel best and safest on... (says she who wibbled and wobbled around like a toddler trying to ride without stabilisers for the first time! lol).

I'm looking forward to getting to know Hattie better... she's a real beauty! :D

Yup I too see you Jen as the 4000th post.

I love hattie too, she is silvery n shiny, my main loves (apart from vodka lol). I think I would have called her Sylvie (cos of her silver colour lol)

Bet you will have another brill weigh in tomorrow darling x

Good luck with your weigh in today. You say you dont think much of 12kgs in 2 weeks but that is over 26lbs. I would be over the moon.

Coincidence, yesterday was the 49th anniversary of my first wedding. Goodness it does make me feel old. Still my daughter Nicky is two days younger than you so I have the evidence before me at the moment. ;)

I wish I had the confidence to get on the back of Ms Harley let alone ride a motorbike. Go You!!!

Looking forward to hearing about the weight loss.
