Bren's..... Cruise-ade

Bren - do you find that your calves tend to get tight and warm during the warmer weather since your DVT? I never had any problems with that until I had mine. I'm supposed to wear those awful support stocking sock things especially during the summer - which I tend not to do, I must admit. They do work, though.

Whilst you definitely need to get your calf checked out if you're having probs with it, it might be worth getting a couple of pairs of those stocking sock things for use when needed. They're great for travelling long distances when you're sitting for any length of time, too.

I have a specialist apt in 2 weeksso will ask him then. Seems better this morning:)

Now I've weighed...... Drum roll please....... I'm back to 73.4 kgs. Very happy. Lowest ever on Dukan was 72.7. So not far off, maybe next WI?!

Thanks ladies. Loved PV today. But ate another 2 protein snack bars. Low carb of course. But none the less I'm gonna cut back to only when I'm feeling desperate.

Dukan muffin and coffee
Custard
Yoghurt
Tomato goulash with tin of tuna
Protein snack bars x 2
Dcoke x 2
Tofu and lentil curry with veg
2.5 ltrs of water

Did some sit ups this morning and on the bike now for 40 mins.

Bren if the protein bars are not affecting your weight and they are helping keep you on plan why not include them.

Its already harder for you to get your protein, and as they are low fat its not that different from you having quorn or other meat substitutes.

But can understand if you want to cut them out to avoid processed stuff.

Weekend has been hectic, chores, shopping, school work and hubby time. I've been Dukan 60% PV 20% and low carb 20% this weekend. Kept the water up to 2ltrs or more and exercise all but Friday night. Today I'm feeling thin :) !!

Hubby taking me out for dinner and I'm doing a workout as I speak! Will be healthy low carb choice. Then, Jo not sure what u think, but doing Attack for the first 3 days again this week. Aiming for a sts or small loss as it's TOM this week.

My aim this week is to catch up on diaries, No Seriously!

I wouldn't Bren. Yoyoing in and out of ketosis really isn't good for us and it looks as if you're doing A-OK (weightwise) doing your own thing anyway? Unless you've a longish spell ahead of you, without a ketosis breaking meal/wkend etc., I'd not repeat Attack again and again.

What's the composition of these bars you have? (sorry if you've told us before!)
 
Okay will just go back to PP and PV. Best to keep Attack for when I need completely getting back on track.

Bars are;
100 cals
9gm protein
3gm fat total
1.9gm of carb

Im just not into a completely dukan friendly routine, but trying very hard. I'm determined not to blow all my hard work, even if it means maintaining for a week until work commitments settle. Good thing is I'm keeping up the water and work outs.

Today:
Muffin
Coffee
Yoghurt
Tuna and lentils
2 x protein snack bars (as above)
Steamed fish, onion and lentils
2 green teas and a total of 2.3 ltrs of water

50 sit-ups and 25 mins on the bike.

I went to the neuro today and I'm off for a MRI of my spine to rule out a virus.
