I love that you organized your wardrobe! Make sure you don't wait too long. By the time I felt thin enough to try on my "skinny" clothes, I had already gotten too small for some of them, which was disappointing oddly, as they had been in the wardrobe waiting for soooooo long to get worn. Now they're off to the Salvation Army, so someone will get them. :)

Cheers! Ill going to do a try-on session every month i think so i dont miss out. :) When I pulled some of them out they looked TINY! Can't believe I wore clothes that small and at the time thought I was a fatty. Ridiculous.
I was at friends house the other day and she has her "thin" photos on the fridge for inspiration. In every one she has the same post; Tummy sucked in, slightly to the side and with her arm across her stomach. She must have been a size 12 at most. She was gorgeous (and still is) but was called fat at school. I hate "normal" people sometimes!

Jeez. So glad I've finished the mango milkshakes, Gone off them very very quickly!
Looking forward to veggie soup later though :)

Feeling a bit better today but am (TMI alert) pretty bunged up now! I had a jar of fibre supplement left from last time so didn't bother getting any from my CDC but when I came to use it it was completely solid so had to chuck it away. Can anyone recommend anything gentle? I've used dulcolax in the past but it always wakes me up in the night with awful cramps.

I was using psyllium husks (fibre supplement) and flaxseed, but have now just resorted to dulcolax 2x/week. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes I get cramps, but I haven't found anything that delivers reliably. You just have to play with different combinations of things til you find something that works.

Good idea! I have some flaxseed, how did you take it? Just in with the shakes?? X

Just can't be bothered today. I can feel a depression spiral coming on... I won't cheat but I'll probably be moaning for the next few days. Really wish I wasn't so up and down all the time. I was hoping this would lessen now I'm eating exactly right. No such luck. :(

In other news, my throat has been really dry for days now and no amount of water seems to alleviate it. Any suggestions? Xx

Flaxseed: I have milled flaxseed and I add 1-2T to soups, porridge and shakes. The psyllium husks come in capsules so just pop those w/ water.

Hang in there with the mood swings. I found myself going through quite a few of them in the first few weeks ... to the point where a couple of times I would just sit and weep. Happily, my mood has evened out quite a bit since then. Moan away - we're here to help you get through this! As simple and fast as this diet is, it is not always easy - but staying on it and thinking about your goal does help!

I started reading a book by Judith Beck (found recommendations to the book on this forum). She suggests writing down a list of all the reasons why you want to lose weight. I did that and have one posted in the diary where I'm tracking food, exercise and weight and one posted on the mirror in the bathroom, so I can read it while brushing my teeth. For me it contains a mix of health reasons (avoid possible diabetes, blood pressure, etc), confidence (image, feeling good about self) and family (being there for them, setting good example). Everyone has different reasons - I think the exercise is well worth it and would recommend it.

Not sure about your dry throat - I don't know what to tell you as haven't had that experience. Drinking water/tea will at least keep you hydrated. :sigh:

The flaxseed works! Haha!

Thanks do much for your post, it was really kind and very thoughtful. As awful as it sounds I'm glad I'm not the only one who's suffered mood swings. -they are bloody awful but sometimes there's nothing that can pull you out of it but a good cry!

My throat feels a bit better now too! Not so bad after all!!

I'll look for judith beck on my kindle, thanks for the suggestion xx

Very excited for weigh-in today! I'll post back straight after. Can't wait to try all the other packs. :)

Good luck with your wi today!

13 lbs lost! Wooooohoooooo!!!!

Also got my new packs and had a banana shake for breakfast which was gorgeous, and I don't even like banana that much! Wish I'd got more than one now.

Also just had my leek and potato soup which was nice too. Left a bit of an aftertaste though. Maybe try it thinner next time.

I'm going to try extra hard this week with plenty of light gym sessions so I can try and get to 12st 8lb next Monday as this will be 10% weight loss :) :)

After that I'll be aiming for 12st within 2 more weeks. I know that's a really big loss for 4 weeks but I want to aim high and push myself. I won't be put off if I don't achieve it though, I know it's a big task!

Anyhoo, hooray!! Xxxx

Hey congrats H that's amazing :) banana moose is also amazeballs x by the sounds of it you are in the zone so you were def hit goal x

Wow! Excellent loss - congratulations!!!!! :)

Had original porridge for breakfast with a teaspoon of last night's chocolate milkshake in it. Thank God I've only got one more of them. Bleurgh! So sour. Other than that feeling fairly fabulous. Just done a big piece about friends being less than supportive on a new thread, which was nice! Still waiting for enterprise to pick me up and take me for my rental car while mine's in BMW, 2 hours late now

Mmmmooooorrrrnnnnniiinnnngggg!!! Had the hot chocolate orange for my tea last night, v v nice! Needed a drink of water to go with it though.

I was woken at 8am yesterday by the emergency service guy from BMW and ended up being a awake until 3am due to work, I was actually worried I was going to fall asleep serving last night! -don't think three shakes are enough when I'm on my feet that long! Didn't have a fourth one though. My head hit that pillow like a ton of bricks! Haha

Had the apple and cinnamon porridge this morning. Last time I did this diet I got really put off the porridge, but I'm trying to look at it with new eyes this time. I microwaved it for just 50 seconds and used slightly more water. When it was done I sprinkled a small sachet of stevia, a bit more cinnamon and a little grated nutmeg on the top. -gorgeous!!! Definitely having that again.

My mum's coming today, which means I'll be listening to her apologise for eating her sandwiches because she refuses to let me cook for her. I always say I don't mind and for her not to worry but she just won't believe me! :)

Bring on spicy tomato soup tonight, woo!! Xx

I just looooove your attitude and positive energy! :) You're doing so well - it's wonderful! When I have the original porridge I put a dash of cinnamon on it...and sometimes add flaxseed for fibre. I'm not fond of the porridge as I think it's like paper mache glue, but it is hot and fills a hole and keeps you from feeling hungry for quite a long time.

Haha, oh thanks hun! Gotta keep the right head I think, I'm my own worst enemy when I'm down in the dumps. :)

I've started having a little flaxseed once a day too, tastes quite nice and when blended in makes the soups taste a bit heartier.

Don't think I'll get anymore of the original but will get a few apple next week. -no maple though, bleurgh!

Are you on Cambridge at the moment? Xx

Yes, I've been doing CD ss 100%. My CDC wants me to start moving up the steps next week - I'm not so sure. I've decided this is Phase 1 and when I get back from my US trip, I'm going to set a new, lower, goat weight and start Phase 2. Want to be done with everything, including steps to maintenance by year end at the latest.
