Cas's weightloss diary x

My oh is really not helping me at the moment im so focused trying to eat healthier and he rings up and saying his going out for drinks with mates so his bringing in chinese for us later! we not having it, ive already cooked a chicken as I didnt know he was going out but I wudnt of had a chinese anyway as ive only got a few days till wi, really wish he cud be bit more supportive at times! moan over!

Men just don't get it, Andy says 'well one chinese isn't going to hurt' usually the night before wi lol. luckily we can't afford any takeaways so hubby doesn't have a choice, we haven't a penny til Friday so hubby is on day 3 of no smoking! He seems to be doing okay, but he always does, and things are a bit stressful at the minute so I'm very happy with him x

I wasnt even talking to him last nite, he really got on my nervous i had a busy day with the girls he wanted me to do his tea for 10 which I did and he was still in the pub then! so wot was the point!

I hope the money situations gets better for you hun, is there any out goings you cud reduce just to help a little, to be honest we haven't got the money to waste on takeaways I really want to cut back on them all together!

Im going start the weaning today, I didnt mean b4 that weaning is easier for younger babies I know its not its loads more hassle so im with you on that. I meant if I start Hollie now at 5mths it be easier than waiting till she was 6 mths as it was harder weaning maisie at 6 mths as they expected her to be on 3 meals almost over nite I much perfeur to take our time with it so by 6mths she probably will be fully weaned x

Oh hun, I didn't think twice about what you put I just got distracted when I started to post back I'd never have remembered if it wasn't commented on, I just know people get a lot of stick whatever they do, so it's really hard when getting advice. It's just not possible to keep some babies on milk til 6 months, if you think about everything they can do at 6 months aswell. I do think it takes a while like you say if I started weaning Naomi at 4 months I think she'd be too hungry and end up wanting more before her body got used to digesting more food. Naomi's been on baby rice once a day for a week, so from tomorrow I'll give a little twice a day. Then after another 2 weeks I'll give her 3 times a day for a week. But I have a feeling she'll be on jars in a couple of weeks cos Jack got used to the rice it filled him but doesnt really have any nutrition in rice and he enjoyed the jars much more. hv is comin tomorrow to talk about weaning, so not sure whether to tell her about the baby rice or just let her get on with it lol x

If milk alone isnt satisfiring then she does need a little extra after all a few yrs ago the weaning age was from 4 mths and it didnt do any harm then, it still says on the baby first foods from 4mth.
Don't worry about wot other people say you know wots best for your baby but do speak to hv just to get bit of advice, you don't need to mention you've already started her on baby rice just see wot advice they give .

Well I gave Hollie some more baby rice she seem to enjoy it more, although on first spoon she choke abit but it was really runny so don't know how thet can say skip baby rice and pureed food and go straight onto finger foods.

today ive eaten
B- cereal bar and tea
L- jacket potato lil butter
D- im cooking chicken breast with rustic chips
S- 2 slices of 50 50 bread and 2 alpen bars.

Ive burnt off 477 cals from exercise walking and jogging! total calories 1122.

Maybe it just confused her if it was really runny from a spoon so might have just gone down the wrong way? I'm thinking about tryin Rusk next, I can't remember with Jack which way round I did it, jars and then Rusk or vice versa. How old is Hollie now?
You've done well today, I went over my points/cals I felt so rough and hungry at tea had a slice of bread with it and some of Jack's pizza :( x

I think she wasnt sure wot to do with it, it still had a texture to it, at tea time I gave her 3 spoons of egg custard she really enjoy that so we've made good progress today. I usually do baby rice, rusks then savoury foods i don't think it matters which way around. Hollie is 22 wks now.

When I got back from school this afternoon felt so sick so made myself some 50 50 toast much more filling than having a biscuit or a cereal bar im trying to use my calories better, don't be hard on yourself you've done so well since birth, I gave myself a few wks to recover but just got straight on with it.

I feel quite stressed today mainly with one child and you can gues which one x

Roll on weigh day, looking forward to a nice treat!

Here are some pictures of Hollie:

Thanks Caroline :) Just weighed in and ive lost 2lbs!! I'm already starting to feel alot fitter my 8 yr old can't keep up with me!

Another 14lbs to go by xmas and 7lbs to go for my mini target (end of October).

My plan this wk is to pro point but I still add everything up as calories, im allowed 29 points a day and 49 weeklys I think it works out an average of 1480 cals per day. I need to download an app for my phone to keep on track x

Thanks, Im just a slow loser so not going aim to lose chunks of weight just to get into 11's wud be nice.

I was meant to say to you there is a baby event at aldi next thurs got some good bits in there! one day only though! im going stock up on heniz baby food, they've also got tommee tippee bottles, nappies bowls and spoons on offer. Ive been giving Hollie baby rice once a day this wk and she's doing really well now im glad I didnt wait till 6 mths.

Iv started giving teddy too he's 18 weeks today, I so far gave him a banana which he just sucked on didn't eat any but seemed enjoy it, then he's had a bit of pear purée which he loved and on Tuesday I gave him some baby porridge, I didn't give him weds or thurs cus he had his injections and was abit off color, will probably give him some porridge tonight for tea. I'm not doing every day yet he just has bits here and there in a few more weeks I'm gunna start a routine to give him everyday but at the moment I just give him something when he seems in the mood for it x

Thanks hun,

I'm just taking my time with the weaning I read up on baby led weaning not to keen on skipping baby rice and pureed all together, I started last wk with bit of baby rice and then I started again on tuesday im doing the same just offering it to her when I know she's in the mood. But now Emily back at school I try and get her into more of a routine.

Hope Teddys over his injections now, im guessing they were the last lot! xx
