I've not had jelly tots for years, I didn't realise you could still get them.
I totally agree with you about food prices. I've noticed most things have almost doubled, some have even more than doubled. I think it's because before there was more choice for the same product, now there's very little choice, so only the more expensive brands.

Honestly, shopping is ridiculous now - need to shop wisely I think now😏
I actually like the ‘smart shop’ as you can pack it as you go and also see the ongoing total too .

Finished work at 6pm this evening, thought yayy earlier finish! …..went into home bargains for a few bits….. then it took nearly an hour to get home!
4 way temporary traffic lights!😡
Normally it’s a 20 mins drive home.
Temporary lights seem to be absolutely everywhere at the moment!🙄😬

Anyway still on track food wise 😀
Went in a ‘spar’ shop near one of my deliveries and only came out with a meal deal - result!😀

Your food is still looking great :)

Shopping prices are crazy now. I brought myself a little treat today for being so good, just an apple turn over, last time I had one they were 95p, today they're £1.80!

Temp lights are so frustrating aren't they. We have loads on my journey to work, they seem to appear daily and usually seven trent water!

It’s shocking the price of food now!😳
And it’s not like things have gone up by a little bit either🤷‍♀️😏
 
Yesterday was another good day food wise although I did want to keep eating and drinking😬
Luckily I had a lot of low calorie snacks!

I had the most terrible sore throat yesterday, felt like sandpaper 😬
And as I thought I’ve come down with something!
Woke up this morning all snotted up and my held feeling like it was going to explode along with shivers 😏
So I phoned in sick at work 😏
Went back to bed , but now I just feel really crap and just full of it…. Oh well!
Reckon it’s all the long hours I’ve been doing and it’s just run me down and made me susceptible to getting a bad cold 😏

Going to have a shower and get dressed in a bit and see if it makes me feel a bit better

Then I may try and make a vegetable stew/casserole to use up all my veggies

Well I never got dressed….

Haven’t eaten a huge amount of calories either….

Did manage to make a veggie casserole though and blended 3/4 of it to a soup 😊

Had some for lunch and it was very tasty and filling and low in calories

Had some tuna pasta bake for dinner that my daughter had made yesterday, and just now had some little tartlet biscuits that I’d found in home bargains the other day, they were good too.

Apart from that just had a lot of drinks , and lemsips and paracetamol…

Still feeling groggy, so will be of work tomorrow too, needing a recharge I think.

It used to be really busy here a long while ago 😏

I used to do Slimming World a few years ago and had a lot of success with it , but now prefer calorie counting ( which can be a little time consuming but once you get the hang of it - things get quicker, like most diets😊)

Are you going to start a diary?
 
Sorry you're not feeling well hun, hopefully you had a good nights sleep and have woken up feeling a bit better.

Well done on the batch cooking, I love having food prepped :) Glad you've managed to stick with it whist not feeling great, I know it can be easy to go for the comfort food!

Looking forward to catching up when I get back from holiday, keep going, you're doing fab :)

Had a good day for Friday, even though full of cold and continuously coughing 😝
Went for a couple of walks with the neighbours husky too( even though this cold was making it hard to breathe !) and looked after him for a few hours too .
Off to bed in a sec as got to get the 7.30 am ferry to the Isle of Wight with my daughter to visit my 88 year old dad for the weekend.

But here’s my pics of Fridays eats etc

friday was good as a delivery I was expecting arrived.
just some books.
did The weekly shopping.
always pleased to get that done.

its Friday and so the one day that I have a takeaway.
usually fish and chips ( I remove most of the batter) and have a moderate serving of chips.
i look forward to it all week.
back on plan Saturday.

Got a latte with extra shot (espresso) says it’s 96 cals (logged it as a Greggs for 111 cals though as couldn’t find a ferry latte info)

Lack of sleep is no fun.

I had a nice walk today mostly around my local charity shops
it was good to get out.
I brought myself some hand weights from one of the charity shops.
I liked the colour, powder blue

What exercise plan have you got in mind for the hand weights?
 
Am currently on the Isle of Wight with my daughter and my dad.
Took him round lots of shops as he likes to do, he can’t walk far and always hangs on to trollies in the supermarket, when we went in to dunelm we sat him in the wheelchair and wheeled him around 😊

Think I may have to get one for future visits.

We went and had a carvery for Dinner , also had to stop by McDonald’s as my dad likes his apple pies!
I also had one 😊

A guesstimate on calories for most of the day.

But a good day overall I think 😊

Had a good last day with my Dad on the Isle of Wight, we took him to Sandown, went to the amusements on the pier , and then had an ice cream along the seafront( that coconut ice cream was SO creamy and delicious 😋 !)😊
Did some other jobs for him at home before we got the ferry back.
Also went on the chain ferry from east to west Cowes ( hadn’t been on that for years!)
Bit of a mixed day food wise 🤷‍♀️ and guessed at calories on most things, but I didn’t go overboard and binge on anything so that’s a plus for me 👍😊

Back to tracking properly tomorrow.
