Cheb....Too old to get home with the Dawn Chorus!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got out of bed when it was still dark! My body has gone into shock! Yep, back to work for me today
On a positive note I have squeezed my bum into my work trousers and as long as I don't need to bend over......
Been out with the dogs to stretch their legs and I've already drunk 1.5 lt and am presently eating a banana mousse. So I'm all set to do battle with the world
Oh and the scales have dropped a lb, off to change my ticker....

Hope you not too busy back at work today I need to sort uniforms out today 2 - one is back tomorrow - the other 2 back thursday and Madam dosnt go back till Monday

i no you need him but can you spare will for a couple of hours.
I planned to start again and settled with Big Willy but alas he was not good enough for me.
Dad been ill, so stress has made me eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and big Willy is no replacement for Will.
Tpotts has done good today so i will give it another go tomorrow, if he cant make it can he text me

Sorry to hear your Dad's not well, is on the road to recovery now?
No idea who Big Willy is, would quite to like to meet him though
I will ask Will to text you but I can't promise anything, he's very clingy at the moment and just can't stay away from me. Ivor goal, Honor Mission, Sirius Dieter, Skipper De Wagon, Ceaser munchies are all around if you need some support though I hear Sirius is very taken with the lovely DQ.See you tomorrow? 8ish at mine, we'll keep you on track.

Busy day at work and took me a while to get back up to full speed, I've been off since 18th Dec. Mind you, I work surrounded my mirrors, if my constant reflection isn't enough to keep me on track then I don't know what is!

Evening All
Busy, busy, busy day but quite enjoyed my first day back in the groove. Been dashing for the loo though, so desperate I've got my trousers undone half way up the stairs!
Had 2 packs so far and plan to have a frozen tetra later if I can summon the courage, love the taste but it's so sooo cold.
Arrived home to find the house smelling of fresh bread and cookies, DD has been busy baking. Yummy, but I'll just have to enjoy the smell without the taste.

Shame faced I stand, well sit, before you.....I fell off the wagon. It's DH birthday today so I've used it as an excuse to scoff We're going away for the weekend to celebrate, (he's very old and knackered so not sure what's to celebrate ) anyhow we're going to see a show and we're staying overnight in a plush hotel. So I know that's in my mind cos there's no way I'll manage to stay on track then so I may as well eat now. Stupid isn't it, I feel another Monday re-start on the horizon!

Had a lovely weekend, went to see Wicked and it was Kids really enjoyed it too. Hotel was nice, we splashed out on an upgrade to an enormous exectutive room, very plush and access to a private lounge with complimentary wine and nibbles. DS had me in stiches as he strutted about the room in his hotel slippers and robe drinking coke from a wine glass
Back to normality today though and back on the packs. DH is back with me again, mind we've been here so many times before. So far so good and I think I'm going to bed in a mo so that's a day done.
Not a very nice day, MIL went to the hosp to collect results and was told she has another tumour on her lung. She had part of her lung removed almost 2 years ago and 5 years ago she had breast cancer treated with a lumpectomy followed by chemo and radiotherapy. She's going in on Thurs for an overnight stay for a biopsy to be done, they need to establish if it's the same cancer as before or a different type. Apparently the hope is that it's different otherwise the liklihood is that it will have spread elsewhere. She's such a lovely person, we've lived together for nearly 13 years. She asked me if I thought she deserved all this.
Anyhow, sorry for the gloomy finish to my post but it helps to share. I generally find a positive slant for things but this one's got me beat

Morning All
Diet going ok, day 3 today but must admit I haven't been 100% Feeling determined today though.
MIL very fatalistic about her diagnosis and I must confess (though not to her) that I share her gloomy pessimism.
It's hard to whitter on about normal everyday stuff when this is hanging over, it's like I shouldn't be bothered about the small stuff when something like this is hanging over us. However I know from experience that we musn't let it take over or else depression sets in which certainly does not aid recovery so I am doing my best to whitter on as normal!
Having said that, I just know that the next time a customer grumbles about a screw coming out of their specs I will feel tempted to snap at them....there's more important things in life!
Day off today, just pottering a bit before nipping up to the DIY store for a new waste for the kitchen sink which has sprung a leak. Girls night tonight, getting together with my best buddy along with girls from my LL group, yep we've kept in touch and a few other mates, Supergran will be there too. Hope you're doing ok today June.
Catch up later, think I might just nip to the arcade for a bit

Don't know what to say - except having just read what you've written about your MIL - it made me think how lucky you both are to have such a lovely relationship. I'm sure she appreciates having you near by - and I hope all the tests etc in the future turn out ok.

OMG I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL...my prayers go out to her, what a strong lady she must be...I really feel for her and you of course as a supporter its hard on you and your family too...only in my nightmares, thank god.
