Cheekychinchilla's food and stuff

You are so adventurous with your hair, it's fab. I always imagine having a lovely stylish haircut then always end up shuffling into the hairdresser and mumbling 'just a trim please'. But I have curly hair and would never spend time on a mornign trying to make it behave and go into the style it was cut into, so i guess that's what I deserve!!

Well done on anther few days on plan. It really IS hard work but we will get there in the end. I also agree that most people I work with should be massive with the amount of cake and biscuits that they eat... what's their secret I wonder?!

It's only fairly recently I've been more adventurous with my hair. It's the same reason I didn't wear make up until my early 20's! Now this is gonna sound awful, but I always thought that I shouldn't have nice hair or make-up because it would look like I was trying to hard and that I should just be the why I am. Glitter on a turd is the short version  And I KNOW how wrong that is, which is why I've gotten a lot more adventurous. Very hard to get out of a mindset like that tho.

I really struggled with the decision to try something new with my hair, but in the en thought why the hell not?! Hope it suits me.... Will take a pic when it's less fluffy lol.

I have naturally wavy/curly hair and most of the time when I'm in work I just let it dry naturally with some curl cream in-because I have to have my hair up for work!! So I can see your point there. But I generally make an effort on my days off so I can show off my new hair :p

Anyway, that's one hell of a ramble

Have had a nice day today, on plan, and even walked both dogs. Go me!

Have had a good day today. Met my friend at her work (got to snoop round the practice!) ten we went the pet shop and to Tesco's. Back to mine and I made us and Mum a mega veg packed pasta bake. Then we cleaned out my animals and went over stuff my friend is gonna do for me while I'm away-she's coming in to do the proper feeding and cleaning!!
Made a another veg packed tea-chickpea daal with loads of extra bits.

Had some chocolate and watched some True Blood :D

Had another nice day today. Bit of a relaxed day food wise, but not off plan.
Went to The Egg and had veggie breakfast-all free except for Linda Mccartney sausages and a squirt of brown sauce. Big thick slice of wholemeal toast (HexB1?) with a very thin layer of spread. And the naughty bit.....a wholemeal pancake with a bit of syrup (HexB2 ;))
Don't feel too bad though coz I will count that as 2 B's.

Tea was only 1 syn and a HexA

And my Sister has made Oreo brownies and has kindly given me one ;) So gonna have that now while I watch a film.

Not too bad really coz I had 15syn for today + 15 saved, so 30 syns for the day plus my Hex's.

We went to see Jurassic Park at the pics. I'm such a dinosaur geek!! Was very full from lunch and didn't have anything there.
We sorted out our holiday money cash cars too :D
Did a bit of walking round town.

And we walked the dogs when we got in. We lived dangerously and walked them both together-Mum had Dave :p And we were out for 30mins.

So not a bad day at all really :D

Sundae sounds yummy! You should allow yourself a few treats when you're on holiday - it's been a long time coming. And you can join us back on the wagon afterwards :)

I agree with prawnchopsuey! :)

Enjoy the holibobs!

Hey guys!
How're you all doing?

I had an amazing holiday. We only had one proper relaxing day and even that had a fair bit of walking and swimming lol. I think I much prefer to go off exploring than to sit in the sun. I only burn and don't tan anyway. On our only relaxing day was the day I got burned  Ended up with ouchy shoulders and top of my head. I'm SO careful in the sun too-like OCD careful lol. But never mind.

But yeah, the holiday was awesome and the resort is amazing. So beautiful!

The food was a bit meh-being a veggie abroad is hard work! We went half board and ate in the hotel a fair bit. I really enjoyed the breakfasts and only skipped 2-which is a miracle for me! I had muesli, dried fruit, croissants, huge slices of melon, and cake/pastries most mornings lol. Think I only managed to resist the cakes one morning
Dinner was tough though and I had a lot of salad, wholemeal bread (bread was cooked fresh there every day and was lovely!), cheese, boiled eggs, and usually pasta and a pile of veg with a plain tomato sauce. Quite healthy, if incredibly repetitive. Well, would have been healthy if it wasn't for the cake and ice cream. What can I say, I have bugger all will power in these situations :p
We did eat out a few times. I didn't snack very much though-too stuffed from breakfast to eat in the day most days-which was prob good :p

Did have a few beers or whisky's or cocktails most days too.

Ok enough about the food. there is absolutely no way I haven't put on a ridiculous amount of weight. Esp seen as my brain is still in holiday mode. Trying to ease myself back in to SW this week and then will try really hard next week to get going. Got a few friend get togethers and stuff planned for this week, so I know I wont stick fully to SW. But I can at least try for most of the time. Rather looking forward to 'normal' not too indulgent food if I'm honest!
I really, really want to start running again. Where we stayed is a residential bit and our room overlooked the local football pitch, training centre, and olympic sized pool. Everyone is so FIT! And joggers everywhere!! So yeah, they're inspired me a bit to get my ass in to gear :)

Here's a link of the photo's if anyone wants to brave them. There are a LOT! Almost 600 I think. The main album has a few sub-albums coz it made it easier to categorize them that way. Sub-albums are down a bit and to the right. Good luck ;)

And if you're not quite that brave I've done a 'small' selection of my faves on my Facebook page. Feel free to add me :)

Welcome home!!!!!!!!!! Photos are fab, colour me completely jealous! :D

Thanks Shrimpy!

Well I've had a pretty much on SW day today. Or the closest I've had in weeks lol. I'm so sick of eating rubbish and I really need to get back in to the swing of things.
Back in work this weekend and have made a very healthy, SW friendly lunch (cous cous with Quorn and spicy veg) and fruity snacks :D

Hoping a weekend of easing myself back in to SW will get me going again. I NEED to get back on track. Have realised how awful my eating habits can be if I don't say no to myself. Quite scary how bad it can be

Good job for getting back on track. :) We all have bad habits and that's how we ended up being here in the first place.

Hey guys!

Well the weekend didn't go completely to plan. Had quite a stressful weekend at work-inc an accidental hand stabbing with a needle with the stuff in we use to put animals to sleep  Over the weekend I had a handful of Maltesers, a bottle of red wine, Galaxy Caramel, and a slice of peanut butter & chocolate cake Mum got me to make me feel better lol!!! BUT, erm, my meals were SW and I was on my feet running round a lot. Probably doesn't help much....

But I am on plan now. I really, really want to get back in to SW with no excuses!
And if I have a bad/off day or eat something 'naughty' I wont let it ruin the whole day or week.

The only thing I will say for this week is that I have some Innocent orange juice leftover from last week and I'm being naughty and refusing to syn it or throw it away. It's healthy!!! :p

So, today will be a bit of a trial. We're going to a film screening and I have to avoid eating out and ice cream/popcorn at the cinema!
Think I'll start this week with a 15syn daily allowance while I ease myself back in :)

Being in town was so hard!! We went in to M&S and they had loads of new Christmas chocolate and stuff. Then we went to Nero's so Mum could have a sandwich. All the cakes and biscuits were looking at me!! As it was I didn't even eat the packet of mini fingers I took to the pics.
But I think my biggest problem now is that I can actually afford stuff  I just need to summon some extra will power and keep thinking "Just because I can buy it doesn't mean I want or need it" Not easy tho!! I've never really had freedom like this with money and it really has been my biggest diet downfall. SW was so much easier when I couldn't afford to eat or drink out !!

Food diary's looking good! I'm sure you'll be firmly back on the wagon before you know it :) I know what you mean about M+S, they're so evil, tempting us with biscuits and chocolate! I had a Count On Us veggie moussaka from there for my tea today, it was unbelievably nice. How's your hand now? xx

I like their moussakka and roasted veg lasagne :D Not bad synnage either!

Hand's fine. Bit of discolouration, but not a proper bruise. You can still see the little hole (which is amazing considering how small the needle gauge was) but fine :)

Almost completed my 2nd full day. Woohoo lol!

Tuesday:

Took Ellie for her VIP check and boosters today. She's doing really well and is really fit and healthy, esp for her age! But she has a few things going on that could either b 'getting older' symptoms or something a bit more serious :( I'm in the process of getting the dogs signed up at my work, so as soon as that's done I'll get her in for urine and blood tests. Possibilities are regular diabetes (which would be SO unlucky seen as she already has a very rare form of diabetes) or a liver ''issue". Just hoping it's just 'becoming an old lady dog' thing.
Feeling mega, super guilty about putting my animals on work's systems. I have an unusual relationship with my vet and I feel awful for 'leaving'. But there are a good few reasons behind the decision and I think it really needs to be done :( Just hope she's ok!!

Anyway, food.

Lunch: 2 Quorn sausages (2. Which I'm still annoyed about!), half tin of beans, cheesy (HexA1 for milk & cheese) mushroom scrambled eggs, and wholemeal toast (HexB1). Tomato sauce (1)

Tea: 'Cheating bolgnese' Quorn mince, red onion, peppers, sweetcorn, spinach, carrot, broccoli, and peas cooked in herbs and stuff with a pack of tomato Pasta and Sauce and cheese (HexA2) :) Vegtastic! :p

Snacks: Bear Nibbles (HexB2) Toffee yogurt. Funsize Caramel (4)

Drinks: Coke Zero. Diet Irn Bru. Coffee. Orange juice (all gone now :() Options (2)

Syns used: 9
Syns left: 15.5

Exercise: About 30/40mins walking with Ellie.
45min walk with Dave :chores016:
