Chelsea Lou - The Ventura adventure, not a sinking ship!

Morning Chels,

I hope you have a wonderful Thursday.

Thanks Mel and KC, wishing you the same.

Had a bit of bother this morning :sick0019:.....won't go into the gory details but this was one of the main reasons why I had to stop before. I am having some chicken with salad leaves, drinking the water etc., all to no avail. Not sure what to do. Last week the movicol seemed to work a bit too much but I think it was just working on the upper end of me and the lower end was stacked up. Sorry, did I say I wouldn't go into details????? :D

Any advice would be very welcome. It made me late for work, so not good. x

Lelly suggested Bene-Fiber mixed into all the shakes, or a similar product which our CDCs are meant to have? I am going to try to get some in town later, after the dentist. If we take it every day it is supposed to prevent this. I do know what you mean. Movicol later and then the fiber added to shakes from then on?

I've had the Fibre from CDC before, which didnt seem to work on me unfortunately. Plus you have to be 'clear' before you start adding it otherwise it just makes the problem worse. I think I will just stick to the Movicol, Dulcoease, Senakot, suppositories ..............

I am re-naming you Chelsea Loo...

Hi Chels,

Bellefrogette had a colonic and that was amazingly helpful (or she wrote). She ordered a home kit off of the internet.

I have "cheat treats" -- as I am sensitive to malitol (what they use to sweeten the CD bars), I have some lovely malitol sweeten chewy sweets (30 cals. each) and a couple of those work like a charm.

Lots of water should help, too.

My sister jumps rope -- and that always makes her dash to the loo.

Mel, I'd have used a garden hosepipe if it had stretched up two floors, this morning :D I'm wary about using anything that will take me out of ketosis. Would these sweets do that? WeightWatchers used to sell bags of sweets and their Rhubarb and Custard (yum) used to work a treat....

Not too sure about jumping rope (skipping) my pelvic floor probably wouldn't stand for it, however the rope might have come in handy this morning - I could have hung myself with it lol xx

LOL -- Chels.

They do not kick me out of ketosis -- not that high in carbs as they use that super laxative (in my case, anyway) artificial sweetner malitol. Boots has some of these chewy sugar free. Have a couple or three -- when you first get home, then just wait for the wind and other effects...

Have you tried dulcolax, not dulcoease..... it works for me every time.... whereas movicol and senna do not....

I work in Front of House in a glass and marble atrium, not very good acoustics methinks for the wind etc

I tried the dulcolax before GE and it did work. I thought that was what I was buying this time but it wasn't. Will get some more and thanks for that. xx

Day 19 Yay for Tesco's ladies

Hi all,

Nearly every day, for the past 4.5 years, I drive to the local Tesco express to get a newspaper and lunch, which used to consist of a sandwich, packet of crisps and a chocolate bar of some description. I would eat this whilst sitting in the car with Talksport (what else) on the radio AND reading the paper. Talk about multi-task!!

Anyway, there is this lovely lady that works behind the till and she is always so friendly, complimentary etc etc. When I lost all my weight before on CD she couldnt get over it. She said some lovely things every time I saw her.

Over the last year or so she hasn't said anything about my weight loss/gain but today she said "Wow, you are still keeping the weight off aren't you! You look terrific"

Aw, I left the shop (with only a newspaper, chicken breasts and some tuna) walking on air. :D

So far today (4pm) I've had a Toffee and Walnut shake, loads of flavoured water (berry) and black coffees and am feeling good.

Hope you are all having a fab day too. xxx
