Chelsea Lou - The Ventura adventure, not a sinking ship!

Day 20

Thanks ladies. Just got into work and going through all the diaries, so glad everyone seems to be doing well.

Be back later to update mine xx

Day 20 and down a size!!!

Whoooo hooooo, I put on a pair of size 14 trousers, that haven't seen the light of day for quite some time and they fit!! Marvellous :D

Had a lovely pampering session last night. Lovely deep bubble bath, de-fuzzed my winter legs  Lashings of lovely lotion all over my bod afterwards. Then in bed to watch Question Time. Bliss.

I wasn't going to buy any new clothes until I was at goal but the fact that I've gone down a size already and also the fact that I have a night out tomorrow......I might just treat myself to a little garment ;)

Hope life is treating you all well.

Yay to the size 14s! I think a little treat for the night out sounds like a great plan - you've earned it, Chels. The pamper sesh sounds lovely, think I will schedule one in for tonight... something to look forward to!

Aww Chels, that's great, well done. Definitely yes to the new clothes, a great morale boost. Your barn dance idea sounds fab. xx

Hi Chels, just saying hi... it's quiet on here today... (tumbleweed rolls past...)

Hope you are OK, I'm fine just trying to keep my head on work, but lurking now and then... onwards Miss Chels, we can do it!

:cry:My parent company, who own the building and the grounds said that "it wasn't something they want to get involved in" I wasn't asking them to, I was just asking for permission to do it. So no barn dance, poor kiddies in the Hospice and poor us for not having a summer 'do' to look forward to. We used to have a big Xmas dinner/dance and also a summer barbie. Nothing now

Is there another place that could host it? Could you ask the hospice is they have any ideas for a venue? Such a shame to lose the idea, it was fab!

xxx

Just typical of being part of a Group I guess. Funny how it is ok, for company stuff, to use the grounds. They needn't have got involved at all. All the risk assessments, H &S etc would have been taken care of in-house. All the arrangements, hosting, clearing up after would have been done by us as well. All they had to do was say "Great idea, go ahead, hope its successful and we'll put up any story/pictures you submit in our Company magazine"

Gets to the point KC where you think "what's the point?"

YAY to size 14's hun... how lovely and a great motivation i say.!

you must go out and shop this weekend lol???

im going to pop into peacoks see if these anything new lol

hope you have a good weekend x

I need to have a rant. Apologies in advance!!

Hi everyone, I hope you dont mind me giving vent but I am so livid at the treatment dished out to Jess this evening. She came out of Deborah Bardini's of Windlesham (CDC) this evening in floods of tears with a measly £90 refund and is now feeling like a failure, like a naughty child and like she is nothing.

We pulled up outside the house at 5pm and the appointment was for 5.30 Jess phoned her to explain we were early and if it was inconvenient we could wait outside. She was told "You can come in but I am not entertaining anyone else" So Jess, feeling nervous and intimidated, went inside.

She was told at the door that she must take off her shoes as "I don't do stilettoes on my wooden floor" Funny that, she never mentioned such a thing when Jess and I were buying her products last year. It made Jess feel small, both emotionally and physically.... the intention here I feel. She then went into a tirade about how she was "the better person than you" She had a holiday to pay for and the £90 was needed. You want to see her house, car etc. Australia for a month on 14th Feb. This lady is not in need of £90. Jess wasn't given a chance to speak. Eventually Jess said "Can I speak now?" To which the reply was "well I've had my say and I'm not interested in anything you have to say"

Jess was crying at this point and told her that it was not done on purpose, ordering a month's supply of packs. She could not CD, she needed the money back to buy food as she has not had a penny and "Do you think I want to be fat?"

At that point she tried to put her arm around her but damage done. What really pisses me off. Vulnerable people go to CDCs, WW, RC counsellors because they are miserable about their weight. She had no right to attack a young girl like that. Jess felt bad enough as it was and now she is distraught and feeling very low and useless. How can a grown woman in her forties keep on and on about how "she is a better person than you" If she was the better person she would have understood Jess' problems from the outset and offered the refund. As it is I have bought most of what Jess has left so that she has enough money to live on. She was charging £2.20 per pack, whereas my CDC charges £1.80. This Deborah is obviously only in it for the money, she has absolutely no regard for her clients mental welll-being.

I am naming her because I am so disgusted and I hope that anyone from the Windlesham area gives this disgusting woman a very wide berth.

I now have to try and pick up the pieces of a very fragile girl.

I am sure that this isn't a common experience. My CDC Mandy Collins is wonderful and the ones I have met on minis are fantastic people. Praise where praise is due.

Rant over. Sorry but I needed to get it off my chest.

Wow -- that woman is a thief.

Surely, there is some sort of guideline on what a CDC can charge.

Has this woman been reported to the headquarters? She gives the company a bad name with her behaviour and should lose her right to be a CDC (IMHO).

Hugs for Jess... :gen126:

Chels, really upset to hear this. Poor Jess. Will PM her... what a nightmare. This CDC knew she was in the wrong refusing the refund in the first place - sounds like she's had a talking to from HQ and it's made her defensive & aggressive. The better person? She must be, obviously, bullying a 20 year old girl to the point of tears. Hope she is proud of herself.

Hug for Chelsea, can only imagine how upset and angry you must be.

:mad::mad::mad::rant2:

I am so annoyed at this lady. She should not mention needing the money for her holiday - she is a business and it is not appropriate to get personal about it.

OK so I guess she has a right to say no even if it is unusual - my CDC always said that any products could be refunded as long as they were in good nick and within the use by date - but surely she should at least sympathise and try and find a compromise even if it was a gradual return of the products to avoid a big loss of income in one week.

Shame on her for making Jess cry!

Big hugs for both of you!

WHAT On earth... is this women playing at.....!!! i agree with mel there should be guidelines for cdc on their charges.

My cdc charges me £1.80 for packs and £2.00 for bars and bricks, suppose we must remember NOT all cdc are like this robbing one.!

really hope jess is ok? and you have calm down now hun? and you both put this behind you and move forward now.!

im glad you named and shamed her thou.

say hi to jess for me xx

Thank you ladies so much for your support, it means the world to us, especially Jess. I have emailed her your kind messages. She had a terrible evening yesterday. Very upset. I saw her and John this morning and she is still down. This woman has made her feel like (Jess' words) an a*sehole, a failure, little and useless. Definitely a person worth going to when you are at your lowest because of issues with weight??!!!

I am sure when Jess gets access to a computer she will come on and thank you all personally.

Anyhow, Day 21 for me and this woman was never going to throw me off course :D Night out tonight, I'm driving, so water, water everywhere for me!!!

I did suggest that Jess post this Deborah person a photo, when she's lost the weight, to show The Better Person what success looks like :D:D:D

I hope you are all having a fab weekend chilling and speak to you all soon.

Thanks again xxxxxx

@ shanny

Sweetie, I tried to add you on the multiquote several times but it would only let me add three - dont know if this is usual or not but heartfelt thanks to you too. xxx

Glad you're OK Chels, have been thinking about you both today. Please pass on a hug to Jess when you see her next. She's so bright and sweet and kind, she is a breath of fresh air on minis and we miss her when she's not around. The Better Lady, by contrast, is nothing more than a greedy, grasping bully.

Have a brilliant night out Chels and chase the blues away with some crazy dancing and a few glasses of the bubbly stuff (water, what did you think I meant?). All best Missy!

xxx

Lol, course I knew you meant water and as for dancing....sober??? Forget it lol.

I miss her on minis too, I know she's my girl and I can talk to her whenever I want but I really miss her posts and her insight. Very mature in a lot of ways but looked like a lost, scolded little girl yesterday and then the maternal bit kicked in. I wanted to go and punch that woman's lights out and I am so non-violent/confrontational....but she closed her electric gates so couldn't get up to the house. That's how poor The Better Person is.........electric gates and a set of golf clubs!!!!!!!!

Love and hugs back to you sweetie xxx
