Chelsea Lou - The Ventura adventure, not a sinking ship!

Chels, this woman's behaviour is dreadful and should be reported to Cambridge, I'm sure they won't want someone so crass, rude and insensitive representing them.
Poor little Jess, this is the last thing she needs, she's such a love.

I suspect from what I know of Jess, she'll rise above this silly woman's behaviour in a few days, decide on a diet plan and succeed in no time. We all feel so indignant on her behalf that the support she'll receive on here will be doubled! A photo of the new slimmer, happy smiling Jess sent to the (ex?) CDC is a very good idea indeed.

And poor you, someone being horrid to your baby! Grrrrrrr! Big mistake methinks!

Big big hug to you both and have a good weekend. xxx. And for Jess. xxxxx

Thanks Bess, your words are much appreciated. I have emailed them to Jess as she is not on a compuuter at the moment. I treated myself to a PURPLE Dell laptop yesterday and it is being delivered on Monday. I am going to copy all my stuff over and then let Jess have this one, so she can post away 24/7 if she wants to.

You are all so lovely on here and I am glad we are all on this wagon together. xxx

Woo hoo to the purple laptop... how cool? That's brilliant Chels and a brilliant thought to pass the current one on to Jess, awww.

Purple........I know! I was searching online and there were black ones, white ones, silver ones, pink, red, blue and then PURPLE!!!!!!!!!!! Blow the spec on it......I had to have me one :D Actually it has got fairly good specifications but wouldn't have mattered heheee.

Jess might as well have this one, because when she is here she is always on it lol. Plus she can start the web design course she has been paying for, hopefully she will get a well paid job out of it in conjuction with her marketing skills xxx

Day 21, New frock, new shoes, old hang-ups

So, navy suede court shoes, with a 2" stilleto, navy shift dress, lacy and above the knee  Its been a long time since I treated myself to any new clothes, apart from the odd cheap top from Primada ;) But the same old me spends hours getting ready, dons new frock and shoes and stares in the mirror and starts to think of all the excuses for not going out. It's not like I am out on the pull. It's not like my friends are all young model-types, so why am I worried?

Gave self good telling off. Read my ARCs to focus on the end game and that's it. All ready for the off. Got a bottle of Berry flavoured water in my bad, just in case I get bored with the Sparkling in the pub and I'm good to go.

Have a lovely evening and speak tomorrow xxx

Chels,

You are an awesome mum! Your outfit sounds tres chic! I am sure if you wanted to "pull" you could do. But, just go and enjoy watching your friends get tipsy and make fools of themselves. ;)

And DANCE. (Like nobody's watching).

Have fun!

Let your hair down... or up -- whatever works, fer ya!

I bet you look terrific! You are so pretty anyway and those clothes sound great! Go and have yourself a good time, you really deserve it! xxxxx

No dancing, as it wasn't that kind of pub and I need a couple of drinks to be able to dance, in all honesty but I do love the sentiment :D

Mel, they were all pretty drunk and then the "I love you/think you're fantastic/miss you/you don't look anywhere near your age/not fat" etc. I am sure I do it as well, repeat the same things over and over again and think that everyone is wonderful :D Was funny though.

I did have a nice time and managed to stick with it until midnight. The others were all going on to another pub/club but I had really had enough water and loud music, so said my goodbyes.

I got the usual comments about not drinking or eating but was well prepared for them. The fact that I was driving meant that everyone respected the fact that I was not drinking. One girl was amazed that I hadn't had a drink for 4 weeks and didn't know how anyone could go that long without alcohol. I went 3 months in 2009 without a drink and I was not bothered at all. It is only in a situation like last night when I wished that I could have a couple but I know me. A couple would have led to several + a kebab on the way home + binge all day today and beyond.

I did feel a bit out of things last night while everyone was getting sloshed, raucous laughter etc, I must have looked like a saint sitting there with my water. They were all going outside for a smoke and I still sat there (5.5 weeks without a cig) halo shining away :D

Most of the young girls that came into this pub were shockingly dressed(?) I've got crop tops that were longer than their dresses and skirts. How any parent could let a daughter of theirs go out like it is beyond me. Definitely not the kind of girls that a lad would want to take home to meet his parents. Or perhaps I am just getting to be an old fart!!!!!!

One more party to negotiate next Saturday and this will involve dancing...groan. I feel equipped to deal with it though and not too worried.

Porridge and shake down so far today. I'm off to DD1s in a mo to watch the Chelsea v Liverpool game. Should be very interesting.

Be back later to do Day 22.

Hope all you lovely ladies are well and enjoying your Sundays.

xx

Sending lots of love and :hug99: to you & Jess.

I think the CDCs behaviour was shocking! I REALLY REALLY hope you or Jess have complained to head office. Despite what she might feel at the moment, Jess is strong with a good head on her shoulders, I worry that someone less stronger may not be able to cope with being treated in that disgusting manner :(

Please send Jess my love :heartpump:

Wooop for going out and staying on track :D I went on my works "Christmas Do" last Weds and it was SO funny seeing everyone else drunk!!

Hope you`re having a lovely relaxing Sunday Xx

Good to see you SS, have missed your posts!

Agree Chels, you did great - you're so strong right now, keeping your goal in mind and never losing track of the big picture. Lol to the 'repeat' conversations, at least they were all happy & positive! Hope all is well and Jess is OK, thinking of you both.

Hi Chels,

Glad you had a good time and went well. Knowing you've done it -- should help you face needing to do it again. And, the same thing applies... watching other people stumble on the dance floor due to intoxication whilst you are looking comparatively sure-footed and graceful is a plus to not drinking. ;)

Lol Mel, sure-footed and graceful should read, stiff legged and self-conscious :D x

Hi SS, thanks for your good wishes and I will pass your love to Jess.

I always thought I was very amusing/good company and a man magnet when I'd had a few but if my friends last night were anything to go by, when intoxicated I'm anything but :D :Dxx

Day 22

Evening all, how are we doing?

Ooooooh had a very lazy Sunday. Woke up at 8:50. Bliss. Pottered about, taking my time to do my chores.

Still in my dressing gown when DD2, her fiance and their twin girls decided to pay a visit. They only stayed an hour or so, during which time the girls rearranged my flat

I got myself together and drove over to DD1s to watch the footy. Less said about that the better

Still feeling strong and determined at the moment but have started to wonder how long to SS+ for? Do I start to work up the plans when I have 1.5 stones to lose or a stone? Not sure. Perhaps I should just give myself a time frame to work with rather than a weight frame and say that I will stay on the plan I'm on for the rest of February and then step up regardless of the weight I have left to lose. Any suggestions?????

I know its sad but I am really looking forward to day 23 because I take delivery of my new Purple laptop. Yay!
Must get out more and get a life.

Hope you are all having a relaxing Sunday xx

Hi Chels,

I am doing SS+ now -- and will move up in plans when I hit a bmi of 25. I plan on losing to bmi of about 22 to 23 because I have a small frame. I joined Rosemary Conley and plan on using that long-term to maintain my losses. If for some reason that does not work... then I may move onto WW.

MM

Morning Chels,

aww love the lazy jarmy sundays, good for you!
Good plan to start thinking about a time frame, this was my approach at the beginning of the year, gave myself 4 wks 810 before moving up and then because it was in my plan I didn't think about the next plan until it was time, now i'm on 1000 for 2 wks minimum. Having a specific date may help with any feelings of 'oh my god i'm going to be doing this forever' kinda thing, because then you know you will be moving up on a certain date, one of my ARC's is 'the better I do on this plan the quicker i'll move up to the next one'.
Lucky you for the new purple laptop too, you deserve it hunny, something else to look forward to...not sad at all!! and certainly good for distraction!

Have a lush week hunny
xx

Chels, agree on the lovely lazy Sunday, sounds perfect. And so does that laptop, why don't they do Macs in nice bright colours? Will your posts all be in purple once you start using it? Lol.

Time frame. End of feb sounds like a good time to move up, there's definitely nothing to lose because you can always move down again if you want, but I think 810 is a great step and can make all the difference. For me, losses are no different. You are doing so well Chels, keep it up and have a lovely, purple Monday!

Morning Chels --

I hope you have a wonderful day today. It was so fab to see that Jess had posted this morning.

I almost bought a netbook (in large part because it was red) but alas I am married to geek who said that the "pretty colour" did not compensate for the lack of functionality of the netbook... the way that my pretty face compensated for my ADD functionality. I wonder what he meant by that?
