Chelsea Lou - The Ventura adventure, not a sinking ship!

Yay Chels!

Beck writes something (towards the end of the book) about this mindset as well... working on other aspects of your life. You are so advanced (seriously). Well done! I am looking forward to next Saturday, I hope you can make it.

Chels, I totally understand what you're saying, I think many of us will. And no way are your moving to a different bit of the forum - if you did, we'd all have to, as we are following a very varied lot of plans on here! I think the important thing is the support network and the looking out for watch other, as you have said. We're in it together.

I think the cricket teas sounds fab... and so summery, as well! Well done!

Glad you are OK and that your plan is starting to take shape. I am still getting my head around SW so will be glad of more morale support!

Go for it, Chels.

Have a foot in both camps Jess, like Bess...

I approached my local Cricket Club to see if there was any way that I could make myself useful......unfortunately they couldn't offer me a game ;) but they did suggest helping lay out the teas (which involves sandwiches, cakes etc., or bar work. I would be in a real tizzy if I was still CDing. I feel that it would be nice to integrate myself with the local community in a positive way, and make some friends, rather than making 'friends' at the local pub. 21lbs ago I would never have put myself forward like this, so am making progress and want it to continue.......

So admire you for doing this Chels, it sounds great to me. xx

Bummer ladies............the only job that they had left apparently is for someone to check that the cricket boxes are a perfect fit, so I said I'd take it ;):D:D:D:D:8855::happy096::gimi::giggle::bliss:
Mrs Lampard cannot have the credit for such disgusting toilet humour..........:)

Lol... we will never know for sure which wicked lady is now in charge of the cricket boxes... eek...

day 64 (2 on SW)

Ahoy ship-mates...hope you are all enjoying your weekend. The weather here is gorgeous. I've done loads of ironing and now have clothes in the wardrobe, instead of empty hangers :D

As the title suggests, this is my 2nd day of SW, going good so far. DD2 cooked a lovely SW meal on Friday evening, which was delicious and absolutely free on EE. It was really nice to be able to enjoy a nice meal with no worries surrounding it.....much the same as a bag of Maltesers today, knowing that I could count it as syns and not give it another thought.

Tonight's tea will be a jacket potato with tuna for a filling and salad.

I've not weighed myself for a few days now but guess I ought to, so that I can chart progress on this new regime.

I hope I can stay here with all of you lovelies. I am popping across to the SW threads but haven't posted anything. Just having a lurk and getting snippets of info.

I'm staying put too I think Chels... not doing as well as you, but trying!

The important thing though Katy is that you are still here and still trying and that is good. So credit to you for that....

We must never give up otherwise we'll be on Britain's Biggest Loser before we know it  xxx

I think if Sal and Nikki could meet Bob -- they'd almost be willing to gain enough to be contestants on BLUS! lol You should read how they wax poetic about him. hee hee

Glad to know that you've found someting that is working well for you.
And, it is very good that your DDs are doing this with you.

Hi MM, how are you doing?

My menu for the weekend is something like:-

Saturday - grapes. Ham salad. Pork loin with curly kale. More grapes. Milk for tea/coffee.

Sunday - grapes, blueberries. Cottage cheese and salad. Jacket Potato with tuna filling. Bag of Maltesers (9.5 syns) Milk for tea/coffee

I can't do a big shop until Friday (payday) so having to make do until then. I have also had a couple of CD shakes per day. So a bit hit and miss at the moment but hope I can really get stuck in on Friday after joining the local class on Thursday.

I still don't believe/trust that weight loss is possible on EE plan as you can eat so much  xxx

I felt just the same Chels, but it does work and is even quicker if you don't do as I do and have elastic syns.

Check out Gail's diary on the SW section, she's very encouraging.

It'll settle your tummy as well hopefully, as it has mine. xx

lol, I will check Gail out on there. Do you have a SW diary in their section?

So you have a 'flexible friend or two' hahaha!!

Hi Chels,

We're all good. DD is having her "Dirty Rice" whilst watching on "Dancing on Ice" -- it is the only time we let have dinner in front of the TV. DS had some leftover lasagna earilier and will probably have some pork chops with the mushroom gravy scaped off (19 year olds can eat more than one dinner) and the pork chops are for DH with a salad. (He lost 2 more pounds this week -- he is down to 166 from 198!)

I do not eat pork, so I will have some salad and probably a CD soup for dinner. But, I am okay with that as I will see my CDC tomorrow and am hoping her scales show the one pound loss that mine do. (I have been playing with food all week doing the Beck "Stop Overeating" exercise, and so was afriad I might have a gain.)

Aw fanx :p I bought a navy blue pencil skirt from Tesco on Friday and am wearing it to work for the first time today. It is a size 14 and there is room to spare :D

Funny though. I struggled to get down the stairs and walk to the car this morning, faffed about trying to get in and out of the car, then the walk from the car park into work was another struggle. By the time I managed to get up the stairs and into the loos to find out what the problem was, I was feeling a bit disgruntled that the skirt was faulty and would have to be returned. That is until I realised that the kick-pleat in the back of the skirt was still stitched!!!!! Once I had sorted that out, I could walk a treat.... I can open my legs now :D:D Such a relief lol xxxxx

How are you all today????? Dine and fandy I hope xxx

:8855:I've done that before! Thanks for giving me a good giggle this morning - it was needed!

You are doing brilliantly and it is amazing how much you can eat on SW and still lose weight...I took it a bit too far this weekend unfortunately and "forgot" that bourbon biscuits are not free .

Am thinking about joining a class on Saturday as I am not sure I can do this on my own. It's a new class with the grand opening on Saturday so hopefully it won't have the condescending consultant and cliquey (?) group that I've experienced in the past. A bit further afield but it might be worth it.

Have a great day!

Haha Alli, I felt like a blinking geisha girl!!!

I am sure you just had a bad experience with your last class. There is nothing worse though than plucking up courage to go to something like that on your own, only to be largely ignored by everyone. I am going to sign up to my local one on Thursday and hope that it will be a nice group.

Let us know how you get on :)

Hi Chels and Alli --

Just think... if your groups turn out to be a cliquey and the leaders annoying, you can come on here and complain about them! ;)

LOL on the skirt -- I bet you had a nice wiggle in your walk with your knees knocking together. Might be a pay rise out of it. ;)
