Chelsea Lou - The Ventura adventure, not a sinking ship!

Hey hon.
5 lbs is fab!!! What your forgetting is the first time you probably had such a big loss was maybe when you were a heavier weight to start with!! and an inch off is fab too..
Well done to you... Keep smiling your doing so well xxxx

Well done on the loss, that is great and in terms of percentage is fab! Agree that another few days will take you over half a stone. Make this a positive feeling so that Fred can't sneak in any cracks!!!

Thanks Wales. If I could just go to number 2's I'd get over the half a stone :D:D Fred won't get in. Still feeling strong and determined. I have too much I want to look good for going on this year for me to cave in. Being on here helps a lot too. Don't know where I'd be without you all. xxx

Chels, you have done really well - 5lbs is fab, that was my first weeks loss as well hun. It is slower for me this time around, and yes a tiny sliver of disappointment is hidden away inside me, but my head tells me that the losses I have had are GOOD and so I am happy. Please, give yourself credit for an amazing 100% 10 days!

Another thing we have in common is the - ahem - Terrible Twos issue... I very rarely had this problem last time, this time... oh dear! I am going to get something to help (movicol?) next time I am in a town that has a chemist. (Why oh why do I live in the middle of nowhere?) I have found that having a porridge a day helps a little bit, on days when I skip the porridge the Twos prob is considerably worse. But as one who has rarely had an issue with this in the past, I feel your pain... and agree that there have to be a few lbs involved, urgh!

Chels you are a STAR. Do NOT allow that disappointment to have head space, it will eat away at your will power and that is NOT an option. Big hugs and have a wonderful Wednesday hun.

MOrning Chels, yay for those 5lbs i think thats a great result!, lack of no 2's definitely makes a difference hun, are you using the fibre powder? I would def look into getting it next week, i swear but it myself i use it every day even when i'm not having packs it works a treat and can't praise it enough, when i did SS originally i wasn't told about it and suffered dreadfully so it was a real breakthrough when i started using it, once becoming a consultant, and i encourage people to use it as it really does the trick.
Here's to another great week for you hun, happy thoughts!
xx

Hi Chels, 5lb loss is brilliant.... you know I think that is why so many of us cannot manage CD the 2nd, 3rd, 4th time around, its because we are used to brilliant losses the first time and so it is just the norm the other times..... If you were on WW or SW you would have been thrilled with your 5lb, plus lack of No. 2s is not good either.... I always find I have a naff weight loss the 2nd week, but you should have a good one if the water and waste shifts.. Keep up the good work, its great to see you sounding so positive.

Aw, thank you so much girlies :D I am using the Movicol - make sure you buy the plain one Katy - it says to use 2-3 sachets per day but I could only manage one as it has a 'bit of a taste'. I've got some water flavouring now so had a sachet last night and another first thing this morning.........mission not yet accomplished though  This is something that I do stress about as last time I was successful on CD, I had terrible problems. Suffice to say that I have delivered 4 babies in 4 hours each, start to finish, each one quicker than 'going' and if that had happened whilst at work I would have been so mortified and probably would have left my job. Luckily it was on a weekend. To say I was on the verge of calling an ambulance is no overstatement (you ask Jess lol)

Let's just hope that the Movicol works its magic for when I get home tonight :D

I'm over the disappointment now and thinking of 10 packs of lard.......thats a LOT of fat..........gone!!!!

I hope you are all well and having a wobble-free Wednesday.

Thanks again so much for the encouragement...brill xxx

Fibre powder?

xxx

yeah the Cambridge Fibre powder you can get it from your consultant it's a soluable vegetable inulin poweder which you can add to your shakes or even just your coffee, completely tastless and disappears so you can't atste it at all...it is a preventative rather than a cure to being already bunged, so if there's a prob you have to get that sorted first and then introdce the fibre daily to stop it from happening again...it's a godsend honestly and it stops the cycle of having to use laxatives every week or so. Highly recommend it!

oh... I have mentioned the 'Terrible Twos' to my CDC and she has never mentioned this! Will ask when I see her (not for 2 weeks... arghh!)

I have tried psyllium husks, 2 x 3 times a day but these done work for me..... would the fibre be better?

Personally pysillium husks never worked for me either, and laxatives only sseemed to make the problem worse after the initial 'clear-out' it is much more of a gentle action when i use it daily it keeps things moving almost daily and gets rid of the 'pellet' poo as it softens it all up nicely. Definitely worth a try if you are having regular problems, i usually highlight this at first appt the bit in the book regarding side affects with double stars and warn everyone it will most likely happen as it is the most common side-affect i find. and those who use it from day one rarely have problems. That's not to say it won't happen again esp if there are weeks with less water or totm is due dueing these weeks i use extra and it still helps but have only had to use lax once in last 6 months, which is good for me as i have a always suffered this to some degree.
Katy there is a similar product you can get from pharmacist i think called benefiber which is the same thing.

Day 11 Hubble Bubble Toilet Trouble lol

So, good morning all.

I am so pleased that I have got this far. 5lbs off and 1" off the waist. I asked my CDC to measure just my waist as I needed something to cheer me up after the (slight) disappointment of the WI.

I was assured that once the TT's were sorted out then I would probably see another couple of lbs come off the scales :D Oh I so wish I could have some sweetcorn.....I find that very moving so to speak.

Stomach muscles are still sore but not nearly as bad as yesterday. BMF is on tonight but I think I will wait until next Monday before I go back, just to be absolutely certain they've healed. To compensate for this I have planned to do a load of ironing. Rock & Roll!!!!

I might even try to find some smaller sizes that were banished to the bottom of the ironing box last year in disgust. Then I will have things ready for when the time comes :D:DYeah, liking the sound of that.

Definitely getting the feeling now that Spring is not too far away, although it is cold and overcast here in Surrey at the moment. The birds are singing away and daffodils and crocus are popping up through the soil. This is my favourite time. The first signs of Spring and Spring itself really energises me. I can feel the sap rising as I speak ;)

11:38 and think its time for my 1st shake of the day.

Hope all is well xxxx

Hear hear Miss Jess, and make sure you 'hear' as well Chelsea!

Great to see you so upbeat Chels, you are doing great and will be even more so after you have got rid of the TT's. I wonder if when/if the Queen suffers in the same way she then has.....'a royal flush?' ......

Off with my head!

Awwwwwwwwww *blushes* what a lovely thing to say to me. I think I am hearing you :p

I do feel good at the moment and really looking forward to Saturday to see what it is all about, the difference I could expect and so on.

For anyone reading this..........I am going to Transform Clinic in Reading this Saturday to see about having my eyes done. Droopy eyelids and a bit of bag action going on here!!

If anyone, in the past, had ever asked me what my best feature was it was always EYES. Big, blue and with a twinkle in them. These days not so. My eyelids droop so that they are sitting on my eyelashes (top row lol). I am so self-conscious I permanently lift my eyebrows up so I look surprised all the time plus it makes my head ache. I know I won't look 35 again, the rest of my face/body will see to that, but just to not look so tired and...well...droopy :(

I will let you know how it goes, when the surgery takes place and obviously recovery and beyond, if its any interest??

I will also take some before, during and after pics which I will put up, once I know that I don't look like I have the Jocelyn Wildenstein look :D

xxxxx Love you too Jess xxxxx

Brave girl Chels, you know I thought I'd be the last person to consider this, but last weekend after catching a glimpse of myself in a mirror, I began to wonder. So keep us informed please.......x

eye eye... very brave, Chels. Good luck with the appointment & keep us posted... watch out world, Blue Eyes is back!
