Cokes- back to it

Yes Bren!!! That's it!!! Welcome back x

Sounds like you have all in hand there, your MiL sounds like a good one and so do you for your help too. Good luck tomorrow, enjoy your drink and sending loads of hugs just in case they help xxxxxxxx
:hug99: :hug99: :hug99:

Thanks Bren. Will pass the hugs on to MiL, she really needs them. For some reason in my own crisis I panic and go to pieces, but when it comes to sorting out others I'm proper organised. Go figure!
Anyway Super Rach on a mission tomorrow. I will hopefully peek in though!
Sorry but I'm going off now, my eye lids are closing. Need sleepzzzzzzz

Rach you are doing amazingly well - and you're right, when it's someone else's crisis, it's easier to stand back a bit and handle things. We've been doing it for centuries.

I am very proud of you, we all are. Just keep on doing it and we'll support you however we can.

Sxxx

Big Hugs love xxxx

Morni g Rachel, yes it's very hard, we had all that with my FIL, thankfully it's all quiet now and he barely stirs out of bed, but he used to have a habit of going missing, and being found in his pykamas all over the place.

Thinking of you lovey. My FIL was the same too, would get up and go out in the middle of the night saying he was going to work but he'd been retired 15 years!

Thanks all! We got her into the home around the corner from my MiL. I'm just busy making food now but will pop back in later (starving).

Basically it went ok. Social workers agreed with me- couldn't not really and approved funding this am, so we took her along this afternoon. After a coffee there got her settled and then eventually thought it was time to leave. MiL went first and waited outside for me while I told her she was staying there for a week (technically that's alls agreed anyway at this stage). She seemed confused nut open to the idea of a little "holliday" so didn't go half as badly as I was anticipating. Then again I'm becoming an expert at breaking bad news! I'm sure she'll be fine in a few days. Best part is my MiL feels so relieved that nanna is safe.

Oooo think I smell burning- will be back later!!!!!!

We can't get Jack into a home, much as he needs it because he just refuses to leave the house, the social worker says we can't force him as that would be kidnap and illegal.

Hope you didn't burn too much dinner!
Glad today went well for you and MiL xx

Morning Rachel, fab news about your nan - I bet it will reassure your mum too and show her it's a lot better as she thought it might be xx

sounding good then Rachel

We can't get Jack into a home, much as he needs it because he just refuses to leave the house, the social worker says we can't force him as that would be kidnap and illegal.

This is such a tricky area. If he's not leaving the house then I guess he's not wandering so in no danger in that way, but there are plenty of other dangers in a house as well as just basically not being able to care for himself. Even if he were a danger to himself in his house the Mental Health Act couldn't really be used now as changes to it state that there must be a place to take the person to with suitable treatment for the disorder. There isn't really any treatment for dementia like there is with other metal health issues i.e. that could return him to more normal functioning/ independence. It's so hard. I hope the social worker has ensured he has a good package of care going into the home then. And make sure it's reviewed regularly as you never know there may be leeway in the future who knows

Yep Nanna is doing ok. Apparently she was trying to leave earlier but the staff settled her down and when MiL went in she was enjoying a sing along. So great news there. Now just need to get her assessed for a permanent placement, but her regular social worker will do that when she gets back off hols.

I've been so busy today having a good sort out and getting rid of things. Got some dresses on ebay that are too big now! :D I'm shattered. At least its a good TV night. I used to be fat on MTV then Apprentice at 9. I'm gonna take doggies for a stroll then come back, make tea and veg in front of the telly.

Hope everyone is well, and of course being 100%

I've never watched Castle, always meant to watch it sometime as the adverts look good. I am an NCIS girl though!

Forgot to add been weighed today and it was STS. Urrrgghh! It'll come off next week, has to as I haven't been naughty this week, but there was that ice cream last week just before weighin so maybe that knocked me out of K and I'm just getting back into it. Think I'm in it now as I have a very slight headache, very very thirsty, and my mouth tastes awful.
Nevermind onwards and downwards x

Morning Hon - STS isnt bad after ice cream - a gain would have been bad x Keep up the good work and deffo sounds like you back into ketosis x
