Cokes- back to it

Thanks Vicky. I'm going for a good loss next week. Just shows me not to cheat if a tiny little ice cream bar does that- they should be made illegal (for everyone not just atkinsers so I never have to see them again, lol) x

Lol I know what you mean! My down fall was ben and jerrys fairly nuts ice cream (the whole tub) . definately no alcohol helps me :(
why not make your own ice cream?

Yeah I've seen the recipe in MiL's recipe book so might give it a go. I think I just had to have something in that moment though so I've paid for it now and since the stress kept coming after the slip I know I can be stronger than that now, so will be fine next week I'm sure.

I've just been and sold my car! So easy. Was mint condition with only 12000 miles on it at 3 years old. We are now a one car family. With me not working though it made sense to release some capital. I live 5 minutes walk to the shops (which I was doing frequently anyway to burn calories and tone up) and 2 minutes to the train station if I need to go into Newcastle. Plus even if I needed the car for the day I'd just have to drop John off as his just sits outside work all day. When I get a job I'll get another, and in the mean time no running costs. Should have done this when I first lost my job really but hung on, and for what? A daft bit of metal. It happened to be sporty and nice and shiny too though so maybe I will miss it a little, but the boost to my bank balence has softened the blow :)

Got a nice steak in the fridge for dinner. So looking forward to that.

Hope evryone is enjoying the sunshine. It's 22c here

Very sensible to sell the car - even if it was a difficult thing to do. I hope you spend a little bit of money on yourself (massage, skinny clothes, mega legal food;) )
Xxxx

May have a very tiny ickle shopping trip. Just for jeans. I had a good sort out yesterday and got rid of lots of my either too big clothes or clothes that I just wouldn't wear anymore. I'm surprised at how many clothes I had and still have in sizes that fit now and smaller. I got rid of about 20 bags. Seriously. We have 2 spare bedrooms - well treamill & guitar room and computer room- so the cupboards were fit to burst. Someone will get some good use out of them.

I feel like I want to say more but I'm so tired right now I'm starting to feel fuzzy like when you are drunk and not a drop has touched my lips. Being busy catching up with me.

Ooooo yes. I have a hint of a job also. Not great money or what I was doing but have done that type of work before and manager only tends to hire people she knows or knows staff- well my SiL works there and I always say hello to the manager when I see Linz. So fingers crossed. Plus I could walk there everyday. Fingers, toes, arms, legs, eyes :)D) all crossed. I just want to work. Hope it comes off. Nighty night all, sleep tight don't let the bed bugs (or anything else) bite x

Wow you have been a busy lady :) Great news on selling the car, they cost so much to run - and you can always buy another one later when money sorts itself out.

And well done on the potential job! Will keep my fingers and toes crossed fro you xx

Oh yes fingers and paws crossed here re the job love. Really hope it happens for you.
Great news on the sorting out. Oh maybe you could buy car boot sale stuff of people and sell it for them for a percentage? You can start with mine PMSL!

Sort out was very necessary and a bit cathartic, is that the word, where you get all of your bad energies out by getting rid of stuff?

I've still got loads to boot sale. Gonna have loads more soon once nanna's place in the home becomes permanent. Not be making any money on nanna's stuff of course, any thing we do make will go into her funds for hairdressing and spending money for days out etc, it's her stuff and therefore her money. But you know me I love doing bootsales so I'll happily get rid of her stuff at the same time as mine. Only prob now is the back seats don't go down in John's, sorry OUR car. Although I have done a boot sale in it before and somebody asked if I was selling the car!

With all of the sorting out though I am ebaying loads of stuff. I found a virtually unused slimming world curry book- hardback. Used it like once so I've stuck it on buy it now for a fiver. Cost 16 new and people are buying it for 8 plus in rubbish condition on amazon. Wouldn't get anything at bootsale for it.

Also found some silver diamonte sandals brand new, no idea where they came from as they are a size 6 and I'm a 7 so I'm sure I didn't buy them.

Also Mam gave me some workout flip flops from avon- a 6 again that didn't fit her (she has big puffy feet-lymphodema). So I'll be putting them on at some point later today.

Honestly don't know how all of this stuff accumulates at my house. I sense many trips to the post office coming soon. Which is good more walking and toning up for me :D

Morning Rachel, Oh yes fingers crossed here, good luck love

Going clothes shopping tomorrow- so excited!!!! Been food shopping today and have lots of lovely legal grub. Corned beef for dinner was lush, haven't had it in so long.
I'm getting used to my hubby being around through the day now. He's back to work monday morning, but we've been so busy getting things sorted out etc that its been quite nice. He's less stressed now thanks to the week off. I hope the place isn't a shambles without him. They were phoning him on his first day off about something. Holidays should mean you aren't contactable by work, bunch of muppets.
Anyway I'm feeling very good. My headache is gone, I'm still really thirsty but I'm thinking I'm properly back into ketosis now so that fairy can get her whoosh on over here for next week! This week is gonna be great, and the best part is we have the weekend to come first. Hopefully will get the dogs to Plessey woods if its not too hot over the weekend. When its hot you get the picnicers. Last time this woman tried to say Bruno had knocked her sandwiches on the floor (he knocked the bag, but no food on the floor) and she HIT my dog. Took everything I had not to punch her in the face. So we'll be avoiding peak picnic time!
Hope everyone is getting their weekend started off well x

Yep she hit him. Evil cow.

I am sooooo less stressed now!

Clothes shopping was fab!!! I got a lovely black cardigan with flowers made of cotton all around the edge. I got a pair of monsoon jeans, and a pair of next jeans. A M&S top with little frills on the shoulder, like a purpleish colour, a pair of lovely green cargo pants with gold embroidery and the cutest gem flower button fastening them, I also got a pair of sparkly shoes with only a very small kitten heel, and some new coasters for the house! There probably is more as I broke the bag I took (very big strong bag) I went a little mad- but oh my god I loved it. Haven't done a shop like that on myself for ages.

Then this afternoon we got the dogs to Plessey woods. It was lovely. Bonnie had never been before and she went crazy, most excited I've ever seen her, Bruno was going mental as soon as I told him where we were going as he loves it. We spent ages by the river throwing tennis balls in for the dogs and them swimming to get them, so cute! It took over 2 hours to get around the woods and we went the hardest route that takes you up tons of steps in a row, my thighs were killing me!
And now I'm busy cooking some salmon for dinner. This has been a particularly great day. I've definately got my atkins buzz back! x

Wow Rachel what a fab day, that was a serious shop! Love the sound of your shoes, pic please :)

And the walk round the lake sounds fab too - glad you had such a nice day :)

Lol, I'll go clothes shopping with you next time. I went and got some jeans today and was pleased with that but I hate shopping on my own and most of my friends are either holidaying or working.

Anytime :) I love shopping. It does depend on the season and what's in stores though. Sometimes I hate the fashions and would rather go for classic basics. I remember a few years ago when it was all gypsy skirts and paisley patterns which isn't me so I didn't buy anything for months that year! I'm a good person to shop with as I'm always honest about how something looks. My MiL is the same so I like shopping with her too. I hate getting home and finding something looks awful!

I reallly do think me having such a good time is the atkins buzz as I have been polishing and sorting washing etc all morning and I think I'm actually enjoying doing it  Crazy eh? Going to attempt to get my quilt and pillows into the washer shortly (separately) hoping that the washer will take a super king quilt, it has a big drum but I may be pushing it.

I have a question for wine drinkers. After the beer thread I went to Asda to look for low carb alcohol, other than spirits, the only wine with nutritional info on was the weight watchers range. Red was the lowest carb so I got some (prefer red anyway), but it wasn't great kind of light like juice. For reds I like something a bit fuller like a merlot. So my question is are all reds the same carb as WW wine and if not where do you find out the carb values? Thanks muchly xxx

Have found in my book that red is 2 carbs for like 115mls (the smallest glass of wine ever). 0.9 for white. I'm not keen on white :( May just stick to the weight watchers at 1g per small glass.

Right now I'm drinking tons of water, rekon I've been a bit lax with that recently
