Ooh yes I did, I had the time as I was in the house and got a good work out too. I felt really motivated this morning, I just this feeling stays with me all week, in fact I'm sure it will :D

Some of you have been asking about what my salad challenge will be about, here is a rough guide. Feel free to join in the challenge and adapt it to what suits you best. The Salad Challenge starts tomorrow . The Challenge will last for 1 week.


GUIDELINES


- min of 2L of water a day
- low salt as possible in the week
- low carbs as possible (red days work better with this challenge)
- lots of protein and fresh fruit and veg
- add some body magic to the week, even light walking , at least 2-3 times in the week minimum
- one of your main meals in the day has to be salad, it cannot be a side to go with your mains, it has to be your maincourse


Make lots of variety so you don't get bored by day 4 . Some of the salads in my mind are based around the following ingredients (you can add your own choices too) :-


- egg salad
- bean salad
- tofu salad
- tuna salad
- salmon salad
- chicken salad
- lentil salad


Will be bulking these up with lots of leafy veg. For dressing I am using the kraft bottles which are syn free and ff, they have a nice variety, I think I like the French dressing and Italian dressing the most. I'm not going to add bread sticks or croutons, although that's lush, I want to keep carbs to a minimum so plenty of protein and salad, which means red days will work quiet well with the salad challenge.


Again these are just some of my ideas, adapt it to what suits you and you can always change things as you go along in the week.
We are all hoping to kick some butt with this challenge and get fit for the summer !

Yes Jesse your more than welcome to join, its been planned by Kay & Mariavon really but I'm sure there happy to have you abroad. I'm drinking to get to 2L I'm about 0.5L away too. Good luck and just see how you go xx
 
I am just not in the mood for salad at the moment! Though I do need to drink more water so maybe I could do that part with you guys lol. x

Water could be your challenge this week if that's where your struggling I'm doing pretty well water wise but its easier when I'm off work. When I'm back on duty it's hard because I could be at someone's house and I'm really funny with loo's :sick0019:

B = strawberries, satsumas (not had banana & yogurt)
L = vegetable soup, cucumber & tuna sandwich (0.5), ham
S = fruit salad
D = Haddock & egg salad with beetroot, cheesy mushroom & 1tbsp lighter light mayo (0.5)
A = not had any yet but will probably have a scan bran muffin (2)

hex's a = cheese, b = prunes

Total syns (3)

Hi cookie, how ru? I saw u on Lily's thread & read abt the salad challenge. Will join 2 if ok? Had one tonight with olives & egg whites :)Adore salads but this might help me to b a bit more creative? x L x

Boo to having to put BO back in the garage, is it a well known fault with VW?

I don't know actually, I'll ask when I get her back, I've got a courtesy car until they get the part and fix the error, apparently its something connected to the airbag, but thankfully all covered under the warranty and therefore no cost to me, phew! I've a red VW Polo now six months old its nice but Bo is much nicer. Might be Friday morning or Saturday when I get her back, I've 12-9 shifts coming up from tomorrow so at least I can still carry on like normal.

I have to saw the customer service at VW is very good, I'm impressed so far.
Oh I've just read about your buffet in work, I did that last week, day before weigh in, went out and had pizza I still got a STS though so don't be too disheartened xx

Thank you it was pizza express superfood salad, I was still hungry when I got in though. This week I'll add eggs to mine fill it up a bit xx

I enjoyed it, got chicken for tomorrow night. Not sure what to have after that though, we've got turkey, tuna & ham in so will see what I fancy each day. Did you enjoy yours?

Oh yes I did :p I love haddock. I've got the lentil one on my mind now lol, but I'm doing my food shop on Thursday so tomorrow might have to be a simple egg salad or something. But I will buy some nice stuff from Asda on Thursday and then will get adventurous with my ingredients . I would love to do a tofu salad at some point :)

Thanks hun - it could have been much worse I could have filled my plate but I kept amounts to a minimum. If I get a STS ill be ok with that a loss would be better lol

Reason I asked about VW is I have a Renault and they are known for their electrical faults especially the windows x
 
Food update

A = scan bran muffin (2), prunes (hex b) & Aldi coconut Greek yogurt. Delicious I am now stuffed & heading up for the bath as the football is on, the derby and my Brett is a tense bunny! Xx
