You made me laugh with your reference to a kettle bell as I've just been on amazon looking at kettlebell workouts and on youtube looking at how the exercise is done................thinking of investing myself...........I already do zumba and love it.

she has a lot to answer to that Lily...........................in a good way I hasten to add xxxxx :):)

Hey hun I hated exercise till I found that exercise is about what you enjoy doing, so I enjoy playing on my wii so I play tennis and do boxing and hula hooping and then I do zumba and absolutely love Just dance and have all 3 of them, but I do weights too cos without them i'd not tone up...so my stepson has shown me a few moves with kettlebells and hand held weights and they tone me up lovely and only take a few minutes...I do what I want for as long as I want as long as it makes my heart pump and makes me sweat, then the weight drops off, it's all about doing what suits you, now walking is something I struggle with as I have the psoriasis on my feet and because I have a bad back after an accident 15 years ago, but with the wii I can do however much i can do in one go, sit for a minute or 2 and then carry on and so on but my 2 hours session usually takes me about 3 hours cos of the sitting in between lol...but as I was about to say, if I was able to walk I would carry weights in my pockets and stride it out with arms swinging again building up a sweat, but to be honest all you really need to do is 30 minutes exercise that builds a sweat about 5 times a week...I just choose to do more ........hahahaha look at me the almost 20st expert lol ...:hmm: well I was 31 and half stone so guess I am an expert really lol...
Ohhh and good diea about green days to maintain with, that's def something to look forward to :woohoo: xxx

Oh and I nearly forgot I started kettleworks, dropped a 7.5kg kettlebell on my foot and broke a bone in the side of my foot and never did it again :giggle: lol xxxx

You ARE an expert! You're also right......choosing exercise we like makes all the difference :) I forgot about the Wii - I play tennis on that, do the kung foo thing, rythym boxing, jogging on the spot thing.....I do work a sweat up! lol Thing is I don't have much spare time during the week so the Wii waits until the weekend. My 2 long walks (1 hour each) with the dogs are brisk walks and I do get out of puff - we go up hills and stuff.... AND Millie, my smallest dog often goes on strike on the way back - she sits down and refuses to walk one step more cos she's buggered! lol So, technically, I'm doing weights by carrying her the rest of the way back!! :8855: She only weighs about 15lb, but I'm counting it! :giggle:

Anyway, after all that blethering, what I meant to say is........I think I'll enjoy kettle work, so have decided to buy some and maybe a DVD to teach me some useful moves? :D lol

What weight weighs (lol) do you think I should get?

Ahhhh you have kettlebells :D I'm gonna get some! I've just been looking online, but an confused by all the different weights! How heavy are yours Mandy? Hey, there's nothing wrong with asking for some for xmas either. Pratical presents - especially the ones that save us money, are fab! :D

I've been known to ask for........a hammer drill in the past  along with a host of other DIY blokey stuff  At least your kettlebell request wasn't blokey!! :8855:

Is that your tuna quiche? Looks yum..

Yes, that my creation :D

Can't wait to taste it! lol

I caramelised the onions, mushrooms and courgettes before I added the tuna, cottage cheese, eggs and topped with 2xHexa (will do 2 days) so it should be scrummy :D

Amazon have got quite a few kettlebell workouts, but I've put one in my basket that comes with a kg weight ( starting off small lol) and 2 dvds aimed at women - got lots of stars....................might make some inroads on this body.

Lollipop signing out :):)

I'm just looking on Amazon now Lollipop :D

I'm about to make a purchase I think :D lol

You will have to let me know which one you get and how you get on as mine is staying in the basket til after payday lol :sigh:

I'm just trying to decide what weight kettlebell to get Lolly. From what I've read, 10lb (4-5 kg) is the recommended beginners weight.....

I think I'll wait until Lily is about and ask her advice :D Hopefully she will be about later some time :D

Quite excited about giving it a go now :D Hope it doesn't slow down the weight loss too much though  lol

p.s. I'm fancying the Kettlebell Bootcamp DVD

Will go and have a look lol

Shouldn't really slow the weight loss down should it? I know muscle weighs heavier than fat, bout twice as much I believe, but if you being good with what you're eating should be Ok...............I think :):)

Anyway, for me I will look loads slimmer and that is what appeals lol......nevermind if the scales don't record huge losses...............thats my thinking :D:D

Good logic there Lollipop :D lol

Right, I've put the Bootcamp DVD in my basket. It will take a while to get here as it's dispatched from America. I've also put a set of 4 kettlebells in my basket - weights are 2, 4, 6 and 8 kg.

I'll just wait for lily before I hit the 'buy' button lol
