At one point, Vicky, you'll have to trust your (real life, cos they can SEE you) friends as to when it's time to stop and move into Consolidation.

It takes a long while for one's eyes to catch up with the metamorphis and, even now, I still sometimes double take when I catch sight of myself in a shop window.

I've seen so many people hesitate to pass onto Conso, preferring instead to lower and lower their target... I've not seen that tactic help with consolidating/stabilising however...

At some point I'll go back to my previous maintenance plan, with "the best of Dukan" factored in, but I'm not ready yet to maintain... must lose first... possibly without ketosis though as I've been messing around with that for too long.

Wow I cant imagine not gagging to get on with conso!
Its soooooo long away for me am so excited to hear about how others do on it (and what they eat, sigh).

Can see that people dont think they deserve to move on as they're not thin really. Getting your head on board with it all is hard, and probably why lots of us rebound and end up heavier than before.

Thanks Girls. I am/have been tempted to lower my goal. BUT im not going to . Im going to stay at that weight and just keep exercising to tone up. My body fat will go down naturally with that and my muscle will increase, which il be happy with.
I dont think ill know what to do with myself when i get to conso. apart from buy myself a bread maker that is!

I've never taken blood but I did learn to give injections (I started student nursing training way back in the dark ages...). We practised in class on an orange... and then I was faced with bare buttocks in the ward the next day... he fortunately was unaware that it was my first time. Mindful of the warning we'd been given as to injecting into the upper right hand quarter of a buttock, else we could paralyse the person (that warning still rings in my ears - is it true Cheryl?!), I was in and out like a pro! I loved doing injections and would merrily leave the bedpans to my fellow class mates on the ward, while I Miss Brave went round with my needles!

No Joanne i dont think this is true. We were taught upper outer quad due to the siatic nerve and less blood vessels to hit. We cannulae now for drug route only, do not take bloods. I was once told to use an orange but we got to practise on a plastic manakin bottom!!

Frankly Vicky, as I've said on here before, Conso is where the REAL work starts so you'll have PLENTY to do.

Cruise is the EASY bit!

Not yet. As soon as i smell or see food i feel worse. I'll have to have something though as it stops the sicky feeling for a bit then it comes back
