Daily chat...

Lovely jovely... yeah I was most miffed to see that some were 1K, others 1.2K and others still just 750g last year! I mean, 750g just isn't enough!!

So, ladies, this is a bit early even for me, so keep your eye on those tins for me - it helps you strengthen your "resistance muscles" - so you'll thank me for it one day!

<I'm smiling at work, a most unusual occurrence at the moment!!>

maybe I can buy a tin and tell myself I will have one per day as a treat :)

Just one a day....don't think I could - there's so little actual chocolate in Quality St that you need a few to get your cocoa fix!

I'l going to buy myself a tiny box of lovely (expensive) handmade chocolates - dark so that my lovely husband doesn't steal them and because I prefer dark chocolate - and have them instead.

I won't have had chocolate for months by then, I may not even like it anymore:eek:.

one a day? (tin??????)

Truly, if you're following the diet strictly, best not cos of the sugar and coming out of ketosis... and, as Robin says, one is never enough!

But inspiration for us all to eat our tin (in a restrained leisurely fashion) once at target hey?!

Hello morning all, I'm here reading & catching up a bit too - though busy busy at work at the mo'

Chocolate Tins - they've never figured much on my Christmas list. Now cake (the Stollen type, with Marzipan, mmmhhhh) that's another thing. I may have to investigate half-way diet friendly recipes!! Seems a bit pointless too as it contains dried fruit anyway so why scrimp on the sugar and fat?? Anyway still a while to go till then.

I have a voucher for a little pack of three free choccies from Thorntons, must remember to dig it out and use it as a treat 'dessert' next weekend I think! Ah no - we had apple crumble planned. Oh it gets tricky when you actually have the option of one real meal a week! My list of planned meals is already a mile long...
Pasta tonight :eat:

(must get round to changing my sig...)

morning all
feel shattered this morning dont know why , too much computer at night i think
Off to pick up a guitar for my lad today got it off ebay but have to go get it in Barnstaple then back for school pick ups
exciting life i lead am picking the older two up from the swimming pool so will get a price list for aqua fit and adult swimming whilst im there

Working or playing on the computer at night? I must admit that I rarely if ever go online in the evening (but last night I did have it on to keep track of my team's score - lost again - booo Southampton need a miracle!).

I used to enjoy aqua gym... can be a good laugh!

Don't worry - OH was only saying last night about the sterling come back they made at the end of last season

Thanks Mouse - it's very hard seeing how this season is actually panning out, compared to how it was forecast, but "real Saints supporters" are of course used to this (and boy do they make us suffer!!!). Hopefully someone will spend some money... and I was telling myself this morning on my walk that, had we won our first match under the new Manager, he holding the purse strings VERY tightly (Cortese) mightn't relax them! (I used to go every Saturday with my Dad + sister and she's still a season ticket holder!)

OK lovely walk this morning... past les Invalides with the sun coming up. Very beautiful although very chilly (now sunny though...). I smugly listened to colleagues arriving late, hot and stressed, after many technical problems on the metros this morning!

Planning out my food for next week's holiday, and my 2 day (surprise to other half) getaway... as we don't have internet in the country, I need to research where we're going and what we'll see in advance... (going to Beaune, staying overnight, moving onto Chalon-sur-Saone, then a village to meet friends). The second afternoon, weather permitting, had been planned to be in her swimming pool... but unfortunately (for me), it's a gite and she's just had a last minute booking, so we'll not be able to go there to swim! Never mind... she has a dog. So she and I will go for a walk if no one else wants to!

Well you have yourself a lovely break

Thank you... and because I just posted this on the recipe thread(!), for those who never venture there, I'll copy it here... (and then run and hide!)

We were talking about my being in the Daily Mail ages ago. Remember this was before I knew anything about Dukan. And concerned my weight reduction from 22 stone to 10 stone 9lbs in 2002-2003. (and errr they wrote that I was their Slimmer of the Year of 2003!)

Part 1 - you'll note that I used a pseudo from the French website:
Femailer slimmer of the year | Mail Online

Part 2 -
How Kelly lost 11 stone | Mail Online

It has done me good to read this stuff again... (And I smiled at my conclusion in "Part 2" where I say "I don't like salads!")

My extreme reaction to the weight I have gained back needs putting back into perspective! (Oh and I smoked back then too...)

Sounds a lovely plan.

Good news today, i'm moving desks to be by a window - yipeeeee, just in time for grey skies all the way but I dont care.

wow great articles

hey girls ,i came on briefly last night ,i would like to say to cathy hope ur neice will be ok ,i really do my heart goes out to u and her family !!!!!!!!!!

Update, as far as I know she is fine, Ian(my brother) says she looks much better. She will have had a scan today to determine if its a change in her brain or a one off. Hope its a one off, she has dealt with so much in her wee life, it would be ashame if she had a new condition on top of existing ones. I havent heard from my brother yet. I dont want to phone, maybe later on after the kids bedtime. He has 2 other children too, Molly who is 7 and Fin who is 2, I think Molly is quite upset by it all too bless her.

Hey Jo,

I love your walks! I should do that too on the days where there is not so much time pressure - it only takes me 20 mins to walk to work, but that's 12 mins more than cycling, and takes nearly half an hour off my working day as my start and end are hemmed in by the school drop-off and pick-up times.
But if I had to do it by public transport here in Cambridge, the walking would always win in terms of speed as buses are quite hopeless. My dad always walked to work every day ~1hr each way, no doubt with the same smug feeling toward motorised commuters that were stuck in traffic.

Good news, Cathy:).

Jo and Anja, I love walking but not in town:eek:. Supposed to be going out for a hike with a friend this morning, it's raining (that was NOT forecast) but it's not 7 am yet, so may improve.
