Take it easy Emma.....I used to fly all around the world for work, just before I suffered from burn-out (total physical and mental breakdown) I'd done 18 flights, and visited 6 countries in a month....it really takes a toll on your health but I didn't realise until it was much too late. I haven't worked since, nearly two years, though I'm looking at the moment, so be careful ok x

Thanks Sandra, thankfully it's not too often that I have to travel abroad its just 3 meetings have all come at once this month.

I do try take it slowly but I just never seem to have a minute! Apart from working 40+hrs a week, I still have house stuff to do when I get home as well as trying to spend time with my little boy. As a mum you have this constant feeling of guilt perched on your shoulders :( its hard but I have to work. Its hate that he is in bed 2 nights out of the week when I get home and the other 3 nights his bedtime is 1 hour after I get home :(

I have gotten better and stopped taking paperwork etc home with me although my blackberry buzzes constantly! I was meant to go into the work today for a couple of hours despite it being my day off but I've decided not to go, I will just go in a few hours early tomorrow instead.

I used to always joke that what I needed was a wife! My OH seems to have it so easy, when I was travelling a lot I even used to leave all his meals labelled for him, he's away skiing in Saturday and guess who's packed his case? Even though I'm left behind with the cat......he'd better bring me a nice present:D

 I certainly dont do that!! I wouldn't have the bl**dy time for leaving his meals ready for him  If he wants that sort of looking he can march himself back to his mothers- I also dont do his ironing!! While I do all the washing and household stuff I am quite thankful that he looks after himself and the little man very well in terms of food etc when I'm not there. He would put on a wash or hoover etc but only if I actually write it down! I call it my "Honey dear to do list" :D

I made a big mistake when we moved in together 20 years ago......he was really quite skinny and clearly needed looking after......so I did and I've been stuck with it ever since! He has his moments, but they're few and far between:sigh:

At least we never had kids.....

That was the best piece of advice my mother gave me-start as you mean to go on!!
Ha ha I do give out but he's not the worst, he will do house stuff of course(he says the reason he doesnt do it all the time is that his cleaning is never up to my standard lol) and cause I cant cook he cooks most nights :)

I have to say having our son improved him in all those areas and he is THE most amazing father and a such a good partner.........so I guess I can live with his few imperfections :)

Beginning to ooze the ole green stuff now... Lol

lol very amusing :) Nah despite his lack of house training (his mothers fault) cannot fault him as a daddy, I think he was born to be a dad!!!

Glad your trip went okay and you got home safely.

A womans work is never ending, especially when you have young children too.
