Daiquiria's Diary- Green Days

Tuesday 18th

Breakfast- 2x scan bran, 1 dairylea light, total 0% and berries (1 syn for scan bran and 1 for triangle)

A tin of baked beans... god knows where that came from lol.

Lunch- scan bran 'pizzas'- scan bran x 4 (heb) passata, garlic, chilli, herbs, hea of cheese, peppers, olives (1 syn), mushrooms. An apple. This was tasty and will def be making it again.

Dinner- lentil and veg bolognese

2 slices wm bread (heb) lf spread and jam (4 syns), dark choc kitkat (5 syns)

Wednesday 19th

Friday can't come soon enough!

Breakfast- scan bran, dairylea, tomatoes, pineapple, grapefruit.

Lunch- leftover lentil bolognese and jacket potato.

Banana and ff yogurt


Dinner at mums... quorn cottage pie ( 2syns), salad, poatatoes, little bit of cauliflower cheese and garlic pot's (spoonful of each), triangle of toblerone (3 syns?), half a stuffed pepper (heb for breadcrumbs).

Thursday 20th

Breakfast- free rice pudding and berries

Lunch- free supernoodles and veg, cereal bar(3.5 syns)


Very hungry so had a mugshot and banana

Dinner- scan bran pizzas with mozzarella (hea and heb), salad and sundired tomatoes 3.5 syns, beetroot, blue cheese (heb). Dark choc kit kat.

Friday 20th- flexi syn day

My main aim yesterday was to keep within the syns I have for the week i.e my 15 plus what i hasnt used already this week so about 25 in total. Not sure how well I kept within that but not a dead loss either.

Had a gorgeous raspberry and white choc scone with butter and jam I imagine this was my 15 syns gone easy.

Lunch- vegetable stroganoff with lots of super free veg, a few chips nicked off DH and a bit of garlic bread (heb tweak lol), diet coke.

Dinner- ff supernoodles, quorn sausages, 2 scan bran with dairylea triangle and salad (part heb)

1/2 a scan bran carrot cake with quark topping (heb)

So, I had my hospital appointment yesterday which went quite well. I have been feeling pretty lousy recently which I have put down to the medication I am on for Graves disease (overactive thyroid). At my last apt levels were pretty high despite the 'block and replace' I was on and I was told to stop taking my levothyroxine.

Yesterday my levels were within the 'normal' range- free t4 was 10.3 down from 39 and tsh remains at <0.02 which it could be at for months or years. As my body is so used to being over this was a shock to my system so no wonder i have felt so bad and the weight has been hard to lose. Still at least it is progress, my consultant has agreed to decrease my dosage of carbimazole rather than give me levothyroxine as I am apparently quite sensitive to it We are hoping to get my level up to around 15 and see how i feel.

So I am hoping this will do the trick as I am finding the slow weight loss a bit de-motivational, not to mention the tiredness and all the other symptoms!

Thanks moira, I know the baked beans were a bit random lol but they hit the spot at the time. Had my docs apt yesterday, I posted about it above. Seems to be moving in the right direction, I can cope when I know they can do something about it but it is hard when know your body doesnt like it and you still have to give it the 8 weeks.

So glas it is the weekend and we were off yesterday too, out and about and doing lots with the kids which was great. I am much improved fom last year when I couldnt even pick up the LO at this stage I was so weak!
 
Saturday 22nd

Breakfast was late as I have been doing a bit of furniture re-aranging. DH wont know where he is when he gets in from work! Had the other half of my scan bran carrot cake (half heb), topped with quark and coffee.

Lunch- salad, quorn ham, beetroot and scan bran with lc blue cheese triangles.

Banana

Dinner- mushy pea curry and sw chips

Planning to have g&t 7 syns, curly wurly 6 syns, some mikado, oven roast chickpeas for nibbles with drinks and maybe wm roll and cheese and onion.

Ria, just catching up with your diary, it's been one of those weeks. I'm glad your hospital appointment went well and your results are looking good. They don't do block and replace up here but I understand how it is supposed to work. What are the lab ranges for TSH and free t4 ? Your food is looking good this week, especially that yummy scone lol

Thanks moira, bit hectic here too so haven't got updating much. Scone was delish, just out of the oven and topped with melted white choc!

Sunday 23rd

Breakfast- wm bagel (heb), quark, jam (3syns)

Lunch- stew (carrots, onion, potatoes), shape 0% 1/2 syn

Mushy pea curry, bit of banana

Dinner- pasta, bit of pesto 3 syns, sweetcorn, cherry tomatoes.

WM roll (heb), cheese (hea), onions. Dark choc kitkat 5 syns.

Monday 24th June

Breakfast- jam (3 syns), quark and scan bran (part hea)

Bnana, alpen light (3 syns)

Lunch- cous cous, tomato, spinach, hummous (3 syns), 2 ryvitta (part heb), cheese (part hea)

Shape% Yogurt 0.5 syns

rocky biscuit 5 syns

Dinner- potatoes, beans, sweetcorn, quorn sausages (free)

Prob a cereal bar as my heb with a cuppa before bed.

Milk in tea/coffee as usual.

Lunch vege ravioli and spinach

Yogurt 0.5 syns apple oranges alpen lights for snacks

Dinner was smash pizza topped with passata courgette peppers sweetcorn and quorn fillet slices and heb of 45g rf cheese.

Wednesday 26th june

Breakfast sw rice pudding and berries with yogurt.

Lunch salad sandwich (heb) and spicy tomato and bean soup (free)

Orange and coffee.

Dinner at mums- potatoes salad couscous bites couple of garlic mushrooms. Cake and ice cream with starwberries.

Probably around 30 syns for that lot at a guess!

Havent quite been on plan properly since thursday, i am not really feeling it at all!

Monday has been my only day on plan recently and i dodged my weekly weigh in... out on friday for lunch with the girls so lots of wine and cocktails and alot of craic. Out saturday again, pizza and naughty stuff that night, sunday had lots of crusty bread and so on, yesterday my dh got some lovely bits in m&s for tea....

Like i say my head just isnt in doing sw atm. I am going to have to motivate myself and get back on it before i undo any good work i have done.
 
Ok so i aim to be back on plan tomorrow and i will post todays food anyway although it wont be sw friendly!
I will try and get a bit of time to catch up on diaries and maybe get the sw mag for a bit of inspiration.

Anybody else out there struggling or otherwise, feel free to pop by and give me a kick up the proverbial or a few encouraging words....

Today

Breakfast porridge and yogurt

Banana and cherries

Lunch ryvitta dairylea triangles and tomato brown lentil soup (tinned).

Cereal bar

Dinner at mums- quorn casserole with stuffing topping- lovely! Lots of bread and butter... strawberries and ice cream. A ginger bun. Half a m&s frappe dessert...

I have alot of making up to do lol.

Hi Ria,
glad to see your back on plan. There must be something in the air cos I was bold from last Thursday too. At least you had a few nice days by the sound of it and enjoyed yourself. Sometimes we just need a wee break.

Haha im glad i wasnt the only one then! Yes i had a great few days and it was worth it. Still it is def time i gave myself a shake and got back on it!

Were u up to anything nice?
