Dairy Of a Lardy kid aged 43 and 3 quarters...

Good for him. That was strange, I saw the text change as you edited it.

Good Morning!

Am all bright eyed and bushy tailed, there's about 4 inches of snow already and the stuffs still coming down :O Hubbs has had to go to work but only until 12, kids and puddings are still all fast asleep and I'm lording it nice and warm in bed with a vanilla coffee :)

Anyhoo... This is the plan food wise today..

Breakfast: vanilla coffee (hexA)

Lunch: homemade watercress soup with a wholemeal roll (hexB) and some laughing cow cheese (hexA)

Dinner: red onion and rosemary sausages with mash potato and various vegetables and onion gravy (2 syns)

Now of course all this can change and it probably will :D we might end up having a takeaway for dinner and beans on toast for lunch, depends what foodie mood everyone is in by then

Anyhoo have a safe Saturday wrap up warm and stay in doors and have a duvet day!

Catch you later

xxx

:)

Sounds like a lovely food plan. I was thinking of having a red day see if it helps my tummy as I still feel whale like! Though I really do like my green days ...... Mmm what to do?! Its still snowing here but its more slushy than anything xxx

Sounds nice. Watercress soup is yummy. I've had a good day too, been swimming for the first time in years despite the snow, but it's not really settling here.

How do you do your vanilla coffee? I've had a flash of inspiration and realised you don't need the special syrups, you can just use baking flavourings. I've got 'rum' coffee here and very nice it is too. I've waffled on about it at greater length on my diary and also posted an old picture of me.

Have a lovely snuggly day. Mmmm, cats and duvets, I'm going to do some of that when I can.

Mmmmmm yum rum coffee!! now that's genuis...I shall be investing in some baking flavourings I think :)

The vanilla coffee is from the Douwe Egberts range they do 2 other flavours, hazelnut and caramel, I think the caramel is my fave. They're all syn free and cost around £2.50 for a small jar and they're very nice.

I can't wait to be able to go swimming again, I'm just so self conscious so think its going to be a few stones down before I feel comfortable getting my skin out :D

The snow is not giving up here I just hope hubbs gets home at a reasonable time and doesn't have a trillion jobs on.

There's nothing better than a duvet day with the furbabies is there? :)

Have a lovely day M xxxxx

mmmm flavoured coffee. Coffee is soooo good. I've got a pot in the percolator at the moment.

I know what you mean about the self conscious thing with swimming. I have a great big tushy and large legs. Now I've come to terms with the tushy cos even when I lost all that weight on WW I still had an a**e J-Lo would be proud of! Xxx

Hidden away in the silver members section ;) It's a bit personal about my family so I stashed it somewhere where it's not googleable. Not that anyone would find anything, I'm careful not to mention names of places etc. You need 500 posts to get there and I warn you, it's got long and is a tad boring and angst ridden in places. I looked back at the last few years when I cam back here and am very glad I have kept it as I have no other diary or blog and it reminded me of stuff I had totally forgotten. And some that perhaps would have been better forgotten. Oh well ...

I agree with you El ....that's why my diary is full of warts and all waffle - it helps to read it back sometimes, perspective and all xx

Eeeeeek, how much of the last couple of years have you managed to wade through yet? I've read most of yours now. XX

So has predicted all change on the food front..

Lunch: was beans and fry-light egg on 2 small slices of whole meal toast (hexB) and some laughing cow cheese (hexA) and some marmite.

Dinner: is going to be boiled rice with vegetable chow mein and a small pot of curry sauce. Typically can't find the syn values anywhere for the veggie version so going to syn it at 5 syns considering the chicken one is 7 syns. I think the syns are for the oil and noodles so not too worried whether Ive under-synned for it. The curry sauce is 6 syns so that's a mega take away all for 11 syns :D happy days! \O/

Might even have some chocolate! :O :D xxx

:)

11 syns between you all? Hope it turns out nice ;) What sort of noodles do you use? I get ones with no fat or anything, just the same ingredients as pasta and I never syn that. Are we supposed to?

This is from the Chinese take-away and it's 11 syns for my bit...coz I'm a pig ;) x

Me and Sally just made these - 2 syns and a hexb for 9 cookies (we've eaten one already before pic was taken) :D

Ginger & Chocolate Cookies

image-410461957.jpg

They take minutes to make and 10 mins to cook and are not unlike a lovely chewy digestive biscuit.

:)

GINGER & CHOC COOKIES

5 scan bran
2 eggs
6 tablespoons of sweetener sugar
2 tablespoons of ground ginger
1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
1 sachet of options hot choc powder.

Break scan bran into small pieces into a bowl then add a small amount of boiling hot water and mash with a spoon until they go soggy. Add all other ingredients and mix well then blend until smooth. Spoon onto a fry-lighted baking sheet depending on what size cookie you want. Bake on 190' for 10 minutes. Cool completely and then put in fridge.

:)
