I needed something quick and easy, as Weds I'm always out, and I expected to be in the office today... nice & easy, but very tasty and went down well - prawns..... 1 lot in Lime & Corriander, the other Garlic & Chilli...Mmmm

Actually, those that did bother made some lovely stuff, meatballs, chocolate weetabix cake, chocolate strawberies, turkey & bacon something or other, some jellies, mousses and spicey pasta and some other stuff, as well as a dribble of sparkling rose whatever (I didn't bother with that):party0051: - but it was a lovely evening

so well stuffed, don't think I need any dinner, maybe just a few prawns I kept back :p

Oh, and..... 2lb off and SOTW (well 1 of 4, so not many goodies) :bliss:

Well done on the loss :)

At least now you know what works for you and you don't have to feel bad about a few drinks every week.

Thanks.
I know, what a result - drink beer, lose weight - now there's a challenge I can meet!! maybe a new marketing campaign
I've always counted it, so I was happy to drink, but thought maybe it would help if I didn't, but it was worth a try

Oh well, had to go into the office today...although I think I surprised most people that I was in... but I had to pay in my abseil sponsership - £110 - happy with that :D , and I'd only been in Wednesday, so thought I really should.

He himself, whose birthday it was yesterday (Thurs) decided he really wanted fish & chips... OK, my treat, why he didn't want to 'go out' for dinner , dunno, his choice...... except the silly sod ate dinner before he came round, there's me waiting..no dinner, grrrrr

WK36 D2 (Sat 10th Sep) - Off plan

We were having a day out today, Essex Country Show, great day, weather was good, and as we were having fish & chips too... thought I'd have a day off, not go stupid, but not count anything, so if I STS this week, so be it

The show has steam engines, vintage cars & motorbikes, then country stuff too sheep sheering, horsey things, as well as a fun fair, lots of stalls selling everything & nothing, old trucks, romany gypsy caravans, new motorhomes, you name it, it was there.... just imagine the walking... oh of course there was a beer tent (1 pint each only - that's not 1 pint of each lol) thre was a foodie area, so we had a few samples, you know, cheese, sausages, hams... but just a teeny bits on cocktail sticks... he had a pastie, I didn't, but I did take a couple of alpen lights and some diet lemonade with me :bunnydance: I looked at the jacket spuds, but they were a complete ripoff... so I didn't bother.

We got home quite early, via the chippy :p and it was flipping lovely, haven't had fish & chips since early June on the way home from the US... so, we shared a bag of chips... but I had a large cod - well, it was more whale-like, mahoosive it was, it hung over both edges of my large dinner plate :D.... I ate most of the batter (no point in getting it from the chippy otherwise) a large saveloy, a few gherkins (trying to get some superfree lol).

We were so knackered, when we'd got back - all that walking probably, and a huge dinner, we were nodding off on the sofa, so at 630pm, we decided to have 40 winks... yeah right.... woke up 0730 Sunday morning... that was 13 hours straight sleep...!!

WK36 D3 (Sun 11th Sep) - EE

Well, the weather was better than anticipated.... so.. out on our bikes :character00201: , we're taking each weekend that we can, and everyone we think, got to go out it'll be the last nice weekend :), so let's see how many more we get. :fingerscrossed:
Went to see my Mum, she wasn't expecting us, so she was plesantly surprised... she offered us a bacon sanwich - dutifully declined (I'd had a resonable breakfast anyway),it wouldn't be 'my' bread, and the bacon would be cooked in fat I think, so then the biscuits were offered.. didn't have those either - so a nice round trip of 105 miles :D

2x400g hovis (HEB), 1tsp ICBINB light (1) mushrooms, tomatoes

What is this cumin rice and pilau flavour lentil you talk of? Sounds lovely! What did you think of the mushy pea curry?

Love the SW naan bread!

Cumin rice - easy, cook rice, when nearly ready add chopped onions, then when softened, but still firm, drain, stir incumin seeds - really tasty

Mushy pea curry, I always purée mine, and use it as a base - tho last night just chucked it on top.

The pilau, lentil thing....onion, courgette, mushrooms tinned lentils, cooked in a little water with schwartz pilau rice seasoning...simples ;-)

The pitta just needs 30secs in the microwave.... Goes soft and floppy - might see if I can get it more naan like :)

Actually I enjoyed it so much - gonna do it again tonight - got my chicken out, so will so tandoori chicken as well. Mmmm
