Debridgers' Food Diary & Ramblings

Well....what a day, Ken was good Thursday...we went shopping, had haircuts (he's youngest daughter is a hairdresser), I went to SW class, came back, and he had a proper meal (pie, mash peas) - nice and easy for me on a DD - infact, he even cooked the spuds whilst I was out.... then after an hour he was bad again...so, thinking he'd eaten too much, went up and had a lie down to get comfy.... then he was violently ill again, but, once done was fine...
This morning up no probs, had a little scrambled egg, and popped off to snooker, with his brother..as per the last 40 years.....
now Friday snooker is normally 11:30 till 4:00... today he was back at 1:30 in agony.
Took him to see Doctor for an emergency appointment, they wanted him to come home and wait for a call, which I refused.. Dr saw him, sent him to the hospital for assesment, believing it to be gallstones (which I suggested to Ken in the week)

They've kept him in, and will do ultrasound and camara work tomorrow...thankfully, he's no longer in pain

Poor little love...

now I know (or think we do) I can relax a bit.... today was the worst I've seen him, jaundiced, eyes too..... let's hope they sort him soon

Thanks Ali - well, I've spoken to him this morning and he's ok at the moment...so, it's just waiting for results, they've moved his scan from today until tomorrow so they don't think it's an emergency now - thankfully.
Mind, he'll hate being in hospital - 1st time in his life....

Sending Hugs babe I hope Ken gets sorted... Well done on your quick thinking and prognosis... Good job he has you to sort him... xx

Thanks Chelle

He's doing ok, been over 3-730 took him all his stuff and food - he's not a fussy eater, but couldn't eat lunch, and passed on dinner - it looked and smelt rank

He says he feels like a fraud as he feels fine....obviously he's not, but he will be within a few days

Thanks Chelle

The food is shocking... I eat next to nothing the two days I was in... Kev bought his stuff in for me...xx

well, I'm back - online that is.... after a difficult couple of weeks, Ken is home and OK
I actally managed to bring him home Tuesday night, although we were told it would be Wednesday
He's now eating properly, although that has taken a few days - Lucozade was the start, it was all that he could keep down.... now he's OK, he realises he doesn't actually like it lol... But thanks Chelle, that was the start he needed.

As for me, I've stayed on track... and lost 2.5lbs on Thursday, so well happy! - even if that did include a few pints and half a small donner kebab - but hey, that's what syns are for lol

Today, I've felt awful - woke up with terrible stomach cramps, and slept cuddling cold pillows, and woke up around 4pm.... still feel drained, and no appetite, which is odd seeings as yesterday was a fast day!!

will take it easy, and see how I get on

will update my food diary (yes, I've still logged it) and will catch-up on the 100's of pages in my minimate threads, hope you are all OK!!

Apart from being a bit sleepier than normal, he's fine now.. eating properly, no pain or sickness... thankfully..

And I'm now OK... don't know what happened yesterday, but I'm fine now.

WK34 Fri 29Mar - Odd day, could be any if using HEBs

felt awful, didn't get up until 4pm, after having stomach cramps, nausea and a headache

Ken thought it might have been something I'd eaten, but considering Thursday was a fast day - it can't have been that

Felt better later on, so we went to the pub, I struggled with 2 pints - that is so unlike me, I even gave one away that a friend had bought without asking.

D: handful of SW chips & 1 slice of bread & butter

S: ham, laughing cow & branston sandwich (1 slice) and a tomato

Thats it!!

syns
ICBINB - 1
Branston - 0.5
2 pints cider - 20
total daily syns: 21.5
total weekly syns: 21.5/100
