Debridgers' Food Diary & Ramblings

WK28 D5 (Tue 19th July) - EE

Busy day today...
sports & social club meeting lunchtime....working lunch..... I just knew it would be full fat, full of crap, curled corner sandwiches
so I chased downstairs and stuffed my face for 10mins, and ignored the sarnies.
Then, after work, I had organised a night out including some retired colleagues.

As I was organising (like normal) it was my shout......
Wetherspoons grill night.... steak (or chicken, salmon, mixed grill) with chips or jacket, and salad or veg (peas, mushroom, tomato) and a drink 7quid!!
Can't argue with that! I measured out a little pot of 4tbs ltl mayo (2 syns) so I'd avoid normal mayo, except I left it in the fridge at work!!! ..... I also drove to the railway station so I couldn't drink.

I tried the becks blue (incl. in the meal deal choice) - no alcohol, and only 3syns a bottle.... actually, I was pretty impressed, and would certainly buy it again... would be great for a BBQ or party if you were either driving or being careful.

Breakfast: banana

Lunch : small salad
new potatoes, hardboiled egg, rollmop, ham, tomatoes, cucumber, sweetcorn, mixed peppers

Dinner: Wetherspoons grillnight
8oz steak, jacket potato, mixed salad, 1tsp mustard (0.5), becks blue (3),

There's been loads of discussion regarding syns for wetherspoons.....
however, steak, fat cut off, jacket, no butter, mayo etc and a naked salad - all free on EE

Supper: cheese toastie
2 xnimble white ( HEB), 40g lowlow(HEA), 1tbs branston (1)

1xHEA. 1xHEB

Syns: incl. above
1 tsp mustard - 0.5

1 tbs branston - 1
Weekly total: 55.5

WK28 D6 (Wed 20th July) - Green

Popped to the pub in the evening.... I did have a pint (well 1 & 1/2) BUT... in the time I was there, would normally have had 3... Maybe 4,
so it's OK, it's within my syns for the week.... I was umming & aahing whether to go or not.... he really wanted to go, he's not normally that fussed either way, and generaly does as I want... so I gave in.... well, compromised

Waiting for a friend to pop round, whom I haven't seen in a while....
Off out for some lunch..... gotta be careful it's WI tonight!!

Working from home anyway.... finished everything, watching loose women .......whilst sitting here, thought I'd re-take my measurements

I joined SW class 6th Jan, measured on 16th Jan.... and now today,
so far lost 3 inches off me boobs, 4 off waist, and 4 off hips
OH reckons it's noticeable, and last said my face has changed shape too.... didn't measure that lol

WK28 D7 (Thur 21st July) - Green

What a lovely day, my friend came round, I have't seen him since 29th December, as he moved to Singapore for business....was really, really great to catch-up..... We were going out to lunch so I 'saved' myself, especially as it's WI Thursday evening....... well, we didn't end-up going out, so I had an alpen light about 3 o'clockish.... that was breakfast & lunch :)

But, joy of joys, apart from the inches lost I mentioned, Lee was like Oh, wow look at you, - blimey, can't believe how much weight you've lost, you look great! :bliss:
Bless him, what a sweetie!!

Then off to WI.... 2lb off :D
S the week just seems to have got better..... especially as I was out for dinner in the week...... VV Good, 3.5syns :) and a pint and a half on Wednesday (15syns) ... controlled enjoyment!!

I know - 6months and not thrown it all up in the air!!!

Think we're both glad that we decided to SW - it's real food, real people, and let's us get on with a real life!

You're what? 23lb down too - really great!
Must be feeling the benefits too?

I was feeling the benefits until I did my hip in! Now, I'm like a flipping 75 year old! Gawd knows what I've done ... I think it's the way I sit in my new chair in work  Can't resist crossing my legs ... I'm doing it now as I type!

Keep up the good work Mrs!

doesn't your health a safety department do a 'workstation assesment'?

They check your seat height, position, support etc, as well as your position,
they check seat > desk requirements, position of your equipment etc.
It checks lighting and stuff like that too

Pretty sure it's a legal requirement....well, that's what we were told....might be worth asking

I'm a bit naughty ... just completed one yesterday but didn't like to complain  My line manager knows about my history with RSI though and is going to look into getting me a foot rest. My chair is the most comfortable work chair I have ever had but of course, that doesn't necessarily mean it's the most user friendly.

I must learn to take more breaks.

Thanks hun x

WK29 D3 (Sun 24th July) - EE

Was one of those days,
Easter my Grandmother passed away, and both my brother & I missed the funeral, as did her sister, so, after lot's of date changing, we held a small memorial for her, planting a beautiful rose, named 'precious memories'
My uncle put together a plate for each of us, filled with rolls, crisps, doritos etc.... I ate one roll, tomatoes and pickled onions, palmed off the other stuff to the OH when nobody was looking lol
couldn't really reuse the sparkling wine.... not my sort of thing, but there was only a little, stuck to coffee, and refused all the cake!!!
Was quite happy with that, but ended-up in the pub...... that's when it all went to pot...... as I'm sure any regular readers know, I like my beer, and always count it, use most of my syns, and normally restrict it to a Friday night, with an occasional one or 2 in the week...
Oh well.... not this week, so, I expect a gain, although I'll do my best to pull it back a little.
I've still decided to syn what I've had....
think the fizzy wine may be slightly overestimated.... but it;'s not really gonna make much difference lol

Well you've deffo over-estimated the syns in a fizzy wine! Bottle of fizz is 24 syns ... divide by 6 for a regular size measure and that's 6 syns ... there 4 saved already ;)

I'm really glad you all got together and did that for your Nan - I remember her passing ((((Hugs))))

I'm 'beginning' to realise how much synnage is in the beloved booze ... I've been eating really really well lately but the ole boozerama has sneaked back into my life ... and so have the lbs!

Told Col I'm not drinking til the weekend!

Thanks Ali......
yeah, the old alcohol issue is a pain, but, if I don't get myself to a level that I'm happy with, I'd just blow it anyway.... this is a life plan, so we really need to find a way to make it work..... If it was just lose a couple of stone for a wedding or something, then not care after...I'd just cut it out completely until I hit target.....but that's not a reality
