Ding Dong the Enemy's dead!

Have fun at the kennels tomorrow Mary. How do you pick from all those lovely dogs! So hard I bet.

It's lovely Mary, really smooth. Can't half tell the difference after months of supermarket's own. Too expensive here to have all the time though. xx

No - russian vodka - there's a piccie in my thread. Surprised you don't know it being a vodka-ite :) - or maybe it's my abbreviation coz I can't spell Stollichnaya (?) ;) xx

Awwww Mary!!!!!!!! I have wanted a dog for ages but not allowed as i still live at home with the parents :(

I think when you go to a kennel place the dog will pick you. Every person I know who has got a dog from a rescue center said they went and had an idea of what dog they wanted but the dog they got in the end 'chose them' :)

Let us know how you get on xx

Im excited for you! :D :D :D

We got Holly from Manchester dog's home. She didn't pick us .... she wasn't picking anybody ... all the other dogs were barking and jumping up at the cages and wagging and panting. She was standing leaning against the cage, looking at the floor, tale between her legs very very sorry for herself. She was one of the first dogs we saw so carried on walking round but I found myself scared that someone else would pick her so went back pretty quickly.

She soon came out of her shell - and that was about 6 or 7 years ago!! :D xx

She's 'andsome ;) xx

Oo sorry Mary - just realised this is your thread - thought I was in my own I don't know why  xx

Re: Soon be Xmas

Arrrrrrrrr!!! :) well there's one person I know now that the dog hasn't chose them!x

Awww Holly is gorgeous. I am excited about going tomorrow, I have my heart set on Shylo, but I will probably end up with a different one lol.

It is true our brains takes a wee while to register we are full, 20 minutes at least, because after my dinner tonight of Potatoes, Rib eye steak, onions, peas and gravy, I craved and wanted something else, or something sweet, but I knew I wasnt hungry, the craving soon passed though - darned habits are hard to get out of. I resisted though, go meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and you cravings can :kissass:

Re: Soon be Xmas

Well done for resisting Mary :D
That's my major problem, I finish a meal in about 10mins flat!

LOL! Well done for recogising what was going on Mary :D ... And best of luck for tomorrow ... I'll be thinking about you and you're new doggie ... will you be able to take him/her/it to Turkey in a few years time?? Or what will you do? xx

Re: Soon be Xmas

Must be able to relocate with your pet surely :) well I hope so!x

I deliberately chewed each mouthful 25 times tonight, took a bit longer to finish, but normally I am a 5-10 minute dinner eater :)

If we go to Turkey, and we get a dog tomorrow, or any dog I may have, then yeah, I would take them to Turkey. They are part of the family after only a day or two - aint they!

Yes, we have friends in Icmeler now who took their dog out from England.
