Ding Dong the Enemy's dead!

hahah - Oh, I love your honesty re your snack attack :) hahaha....

So, it just proves that pickers do wear big knickers...so, you have basically cut out all the crap inbetween your meals....or you eat fruit instead (apart from the snack attacks) :)

Everything in moderation; my friends mum, who was a nurse, used to always say that to me..and I am going to adopt that little phrase when I get to goal so that I know I can have, but in moderation.... :)

Its just Jacobs cream crackers, but the high fibre ones, quite tasty.
Its awakward with my shifts to have a regular eating pattern, but on my four days off is when I have 3 substantial meals a day plus snacks and a little vodka of course lol.

Like last night, I brought soup to have around midnight - 1am, but after my pitta bread approx 10pm, I just wasnt hungry. Shift work has some strange symptoms lol.

My menus prior to Lipotrim and maintenance were very similar to what I eat now, but snacks in between would be crisps, chocolate, ice creams etc.

Today, I have not had my cockles or soup yet, but since eating dinner at 3:30 this afternoon I have eaten 1 orange, 1 banana and 1 apple and I am so full up I dont know if I will eat the cockles and soup later, even though I know I should.

Where did you get the high fiber ones mary?

I like that saying too - i just dont know when the boundry of moderation stops :sigh:

I can't do the moderation, if I did I wouldn't have got to needing this diet. I think I will have to try total abstinence!!! Part of me worries that if I eat the first piece of chocolate it will kick off all my old habits again, just as if I smoked a cigarette tonight means I would probably end up buying a pack by the weekend. Can't do it.....so total abstinence for now I think!!
Doirin

I know what you mean Doirin, but maybe it is the eating disorder I have that stops me being so determined....wish I could be, but the thought of never eating choc again frightens the hell out of me! Silly and stupid, but if I know I can have it, (and hopefully there wont be many times that I do in the future) it keeps it in check!

One day we may think like thin people, eh!

You are doing so well Doirin...how many points do they allow you? What does it equate to..I just could never get my head around WW...but there is a local class near me as there is a slimming world, which I also like and understand more.

Tanya, I had the crackers in Tesco.

Iris, yes definitely everything in moderation, if I thought I had to ban one particular food, it would just make me crave it all the more.

Yesterdays food was crap......

Up early and had Turkish breakfast, but it was more like a meal, lots of ham.

Then went out to the club with Phill and ate NOTHING else all day until about 9pm last night, there was some left over mashed potatoes, carrots and some savoy cabbage in a dish in the fridge, well I was so hungry I just warmed it up in the microwave and made a small amount of gravy to go with it - very bad, but back to normal today and NO vodka lol.

Todays food.

Small bowl of porridge, 1 rashes of grilled bacon, 1 grilled tomato, 1 poached egg.

Lunch - Sea Bream and salad.

Snack - 1 kitkat and 3 jaffa cakes.

Dinner - Vegetable curry and boiled basmati rice.
Fruit.

Do you make your vegetable curry yourself mary? Im guna try one when i'm off but would like to make one myself! :giggle:

Why was yesterday a bad day for food, cuz you didnt eat enough?!!! :whoopass: hehee

Yes it was crap because I didnt eat enough, and drank way too much vodka lol.

I make my own curry, just stir fry the onions, mushrooms and veggies, then I add a tin of soup which gives it a nice consistency, then add spices like Turmeric, Curry Powder, Cumin etc.

ahhh what kinda soup - tomato?
Me thinks im guna make my own too but ive been looking at recipes online and omg!! they have soooo many ingredients its ridic!!! x

depends what you are making. I use chicken or mushroom soup for chicken curry, and tomato or vegetable soup for vegetable curry, its really tasty adn the right consistency. Nothing like home made.

I dont like it too runny though, does it thicken up the longer you leave to simmer? x

Turkish food is wonderful isn't it I can't wait to get over there, we have 13 more sleeps. Our place is about 20 miles out of Bodrum near Yalikivak so about 4 hours drive from where you are going. We went out in July for a month and had 18 days in May, I just love the food and the relaxed lifestyle, I presume you are flying to daliman then.
Have a lovely holiday, lets hope the weather is still good out there.

Hi Mary!

Still maintaining beautifully I see! ;)

Not long now till your next holiday! I must say with so many of you on here extolling the virtues of Turkey I'm quite tempted .... I take it you WOULD recommend it? ;) It would have to be an extra for me though because I don't think I could manage without my Kefalonia 'fix' xx

Its already quite thick with the soup anyway Tanya, plus all the veggies/chicken etc in it adds to the thickness.

I must admit, veggie one isnt my favourite, its got to be chicken, chicken, chicken for me 9 times out of 10. I actually made it with lamb a couple of months ago, and that too was delicious.

Yes I am flying to Dalaman and we have 18 sleeps left. Hope you have a brilliant holiday too. I would crack up without my Turkey jollies.

Thanks Jan, yes still maintaining within a few lbs and my method seems to work because I do 4 x 12 hour shifts, or I dont know if I would have maintained like I have.
Recommend Turkey - Hmmm, I would have to think long and hard about that one.................YES YES YES YES YES. I understand where you are coming from with your Kefalonia fix - I am exactly the same with Icmeler. I would like a week in other places, but like you, it would have to be an extra week, so that I could still have my 2 x 2 weeks in Icmeler.

Like the sound of your veggie curry Mary and love the idea of the tin of soup! Gonna try that as I havent had curry in years!

Just experiment with the spices Iris, I love it and the soup definitely gives it a nicer consistency than just using water and a little cornflour.
