Aaah thank you all. You are right Jan, I am not going to worry about it, as no doubt I will gain a few lbs on holidays, so at least I have a head start to play around with lol.

Here is a pic of my new hairstyle, its not looking just so nice as it was earlier as I got caught in the rain and wind today, been crap weather, especially after the glorious day we had yesterday.

Back to logging my food everyday, as it was creeping up whilst not logging it every day. Weighed this morning before work and I was 10st 8lbs, thats a 2lb gain from returning from holidays a week past Thursday and overall a 6lb gain.

Back to basics today.

Breakfast in work - 2 weetabix, teaspoon of raisins, sliced banana, skimmed milk.

Snack - 1 pear.

Lunch - 2 slices of wholemeal bread toasted with 2 boiled eggs. 1 apple.

Snack - 1 pear.

Dinner - Fat free chips, vietnamese river cobber in breadcrumbs oven baked, large salad.

Yes KD, I am much better when I log my foods.

I actually had 3 small finger plain biscuits, I felt quite shaky around 11am so I think my blood sugar levels had dropped a bit, I must get this checked out as its happening quite a lot lately.

Back on track - well done!! I need some of your determination rubbing onto me, I really do.

Saw your post about quitting smoking..and yes, what Jan says is good..on bonfire night too!! WAW...will be thinking of you. I cant imagine it is an easy time giving up, not smoked before, so cant imagine what it is like...

The analogy Jan gave was absolutely fantastic and if I smoked and had to give up, I think that would help me no end.

Good luck (not that you need that)!! on Thursday.

Thanks Iris and yes I did have a great time on holidays, counting the months now until June next year to return.

I am really looking forward to stopping smoking, I am classing this as the last healthy phase in my life. My ambition last year was to be slim for my 50th birthday, which I achieved and also to stop smoking in this year also.

D Day is Thursday and those fags will be gone forever.
 
Sundays food.

Breakfast - 40g porridge made with water and milk. 1 banana.
Mid morning snack - 1 hard boiled egg, 1 small pear.
Lunch - 2 slices of wholemeal bread toasted, spaghetti. Melon slice and apple.
Dinner - Roast chicken, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, brussels, stuffing, gravy.

Might have some visitors tonight, so I will probably have some vodka and diet coke.

Day 1 of no smoking, and going good so far.

Food.
Breakast, porridge, banana, skimmed milk.
Lunch, 5 ryvitas spread with extra lite cheese triangles, wafer thin ham, salad. 1 Tangeringe.
Dinner, chicken stir fry. Fruit.

Snacks, 1 cup of oxo. 1 menthol sweet. 4 sugar free polos. 1 piece of sugar free gum.

Day 1 of no smoking is going really well, just trying to keep busy with washing, ironing, farmville and preparing food. So far so good.

Its good for one reason too, its got me drinking more water, up to 3 pints up to now.

Just taking it one day at a time for now.

Hi Tanya, day 2 is going great. Not craving a smoke at all. These Champix tablets really are good. Bless her, I got a text from Jan this morning wishing me well and hoping day 1 went well.

Food today,

Breakfast, 2 weetabix, banana, few raisins.
Snack, tangerine.
Lunch, Home made soup. Low fat yogurt and 2 pineapple rings.
Snack, small amount of yesterdays stir fry.
Dinner, 2 bacon, 2 poached egg, half a tin of tomatoes, mushrooms fried in frylite. 1 tangerine.

6 sugar free polos.
1 can of diet coke
2 pints of water
various cups of coffee.
 
whooo glad all is going ok my sweet! thats very nice of Jan .. hope shes having a lovely time ... lucky moo! lol
