(Hugs to you)
I know exactly how you feel, I battled and battled with my gp for around 5 years, going back and forward to the surgery, having appointment after appointment before they would test me, I had inconclusive blood tests, scans ( external and internal ) and tried the pill, diet pills, diets everything every time I was told by my gp there was nothing wrong with me. Eventually I demanded to be referred, and to be honest i was let down by my local hospital, finally i used my private healthcare ( which I get through work).
As a real supporter of the NHS I honestly feel that i have been let down, whether from my gp, my gp surgery or the specialist. I was referred to under the NHS, I was made to feel like a time waster, was told it was my fault I was overweight ( despite my efforts!!!) my spec's idea of treatment was to try the pill for 6 months, see if that helps.......??
After being referred ( which I had to demand at my local go surgery) my specialist has been great, I've had scans, 2 laparoscopies as I not only have pcos, but I also have quite severe endometriosis and one of my ovaries had hanging cysts, the other one was stuck back to the wall of my ovary,,,,, had. Not claimed privately i would still be on the pill, hoping for my symptoms to get better.........which it wouldn't have, the combination of all these things, un treated could have resulted in infertility !!!!!
If I were you, the best advice i can give is to research research research, tell THEM what YOU want, don't be fobbed off with useless suggestions, which will not help, if I can offer any advice whatsoever ( in my limited knowledge) please let me know.
