Down with Spanx!

I went to the doctor and he sent me for a blood test, so will just have to wait and see. I have continued to crave comfort food this week though and yesterday I had my first real craving for crisps and bread. Managed to resist it, as once I start I can't stop - had an apple and a yoghurt instead!

Managed to put on 0.5lb at WI this morning - really disappointed, but I didn't do much exercise this week and didn't have enough superfree. On top of feeling lousy for most of the week, which probably didn't help either... Still, stayed to group and left feeling much better.

So this week I'm aiming to eat more superfree and less carbs and (depending on the weather!) get out and about more with the dogs.

Next week that 1st award will be mine!

A mixed weekend - took the dogs out for two very long walks, including running across the fields in 6 inches of snow - guaranteed to make your legs ache!! But felt starving all weekend and when a planned night out was cancelled due to the bad weather, I ended up having a bit of a blow out in the curry house up the road...

Syns today: 9

Week so far: 48 - got some clawing back to do!

Brrr! It's still freezing here - had to take my dogs to the vet and they nearly had me over twice on the ice. Fed up of it now - but only just over two weeks until I get some Cyprus sunshine!

:)Hi hope you dont mind if I mooch around on your diary,

I've just decided to grace these pages again after re starting SW (I too got within 4lbs of target a year ago).....then it...and I, went terribly pear shaped and I'm 4.5 stone heavier now :sigh:

I've been really good all week but I'm going it alone this time (SW online instead of group) so could really do with some moral support from the good folks on here! :D

Your photo thread from your last journey is amazing BTW!!!!!!!

Hi Dizzy and thanks for your lovely comments! You are more than welcome to mooch around in here - and I need all the support I can get at the moment. Amazing how quickly that pesky weight goes back on though isn't it. Well done for getting back on track and on a fab first week loss!

WI this morning and another 0.5lb on. I felt like crying, apart from the curry on Saturday night, which I made up for by keeping to 7 syns or less a day for the rest of the week, I've been 100% on plan, with loads of superfree. So that's two weeks of being on plan and a grand total of 1lb on! Even my C was stumped... We've decided that I'm going to try a mostly green week, just to see if that makes a difference, as I lost consistently on green last time round. Today will have to be EE though, as we'd already got chicken in for dinner, but from then on, it's green all week.

I really need to see a loss next week, it's my last WI before my holiday, so need something to give me a boost to keep largely on track whilst away!

Awww hun, its rubbish when you know you've not been bad & yet the scales go the wrong way :sigh: x
it happenned to me on my last journey & it turned out Grapes & me did not work well together, stopped the grapes and the losses started again.

Good idea to try the green days this week if thats what worked last time - have a look back over any old menus you have from weeks when you had good losses if you can & try repeat it?

I don't tend to do too well on greens (shame really as I could happily do without eating much meat)

You can do this! (just look at what you did last time) Tackle it 1 day at a time this week & heres to a nice loss to see you on your hols :) x

Thanks Dizzy - I feel better now, it was just such an unexpected result! I was so upset I couldn't talk to anyone else for about ten minutes - I just sat there with steam coming out of my ears!!!

I've had a pretty good weekend, two green days and no Easter treats. I even managed to have a syn-free pasta last night, while my OH and son tucked into a takeaway pizza, garlic bread and chips! Now that really deserves a Blue Peter badge!

Friday: Green
B: Banana, pineapple, grapefruit, mullerlight
L: Baked potato, beans, cheese (HEA), apple, bbq sauce (1 syn)
D: Chicken (HEB), pasta, ratatouille made with courgettes, leeks, aubergines, mushrooms, passata, parmesan (half HEA)
S: KitKat (5.5 syns)

Syns today: 6.5

Saturday: Green
B: Pineapple, strawberries, mullerlight
L: Potato wedges, ratatouille
D: Pasta, chicken (HEB), ratatouille (lots of leftovers!), parmesan (HEA)
S: KitKat (5.5 syns), hifi bar (HEB)

Syns today: 5.5
Week so far: 12

Go polish that halo !!!!! :angel09: I was very good........until 2 of my OHs Lindt balls jumped out of the box & hit me in the mouth :eek:  I did stay withing syns for the day though (just)

glad you are feeling better about things.....onwards & downwards now eh ;)

Well we have just booked a holiday to go back to Cuba (really need a break as both of us have had the most hideous of years possible:() The only problem is that the flights stop at the end of October - so I'm going to really have to keep focused if I want maximum wobble loss by then! I won't be at target - or anywhere near where I was last time we were there (probably 2 stone heavier :sigh:) but what the heck I can only try.

Ooh Cuba, how fab - I'd love to go there one day. Great motivation for staying on track too! I'm off to Cyprus next week and I'll be about a stone and a half heavier than last time I was there, which is really disappointing. But I just keep thinking back to that hideous wetsuit photo, which was taken in Cyprus nearly 3 years ago and thinking it could be a lot worse!

Well done on staying within syns, even with choccy temptation; it's not easy, is it? I banned my OH from even thinking about buying me an egg and bought him and my son ones that I don't really like!

Hope you are having a good bank holiday weekend x

Cyprus is lovely, Ive not been for a loooooong time (since way before my dad died in 2000)

My mum & dad had a second house out there in Paphos so they used to go over for 3 months at a time to escape xx

Yes, it's lovely - we are lucky enough to have an apartment out there, about an hour north of Paphos and we try and go once or twice a year. It's more difficult now that my son is at secondary school, because we have to go in the school holidays, which is bloomin' expensive - and also too hot for me in July/August - I love the sun, but I'm a bit of a wuss!

My Mum and Dad bought the apartment originally, about 12 years ago, with the intention of spending months at a time out there when they retired, but now they have 4 grandkids and my mum's dad is 92 and a bit loopy, so they go a few times a year for 3-4 weeks at a time. So I've just persuaded them to rent it out a bit, to try and cover the costs, which means I've got to clear it all out when we're there next week - doh!

food diary looks good hun, hope you are feeling good about the week ahead :)

I'd really love to do green days I'm not a massive meat eater (quite boring really with my choices of mainly chicken, bacon & pork and beef(occasionally) - pasta & jacket spuds, sw chips all nice comfort foods sometimes for me, but Me & Green days have just never got along when I tried them last time....I either STS or gain

Might just try alternating Reds with EE this week & see how it goes so stop me getting in a rut xx

Did someone mention cake?! :D I haven't had weetabix cake since the first time I did slimming world. I shall have to look up the recipe again.

Cyber hugs from me regarding the pesky gains, but I have loads of faith that you'll soon shift those tiny gains :) xx

It's funny how we're all different isn't it. It seems EE is not working that well for me, and yet there are loads of people losing well and consistently on it. I think I'm far too fond of carbs, but I'm not a big meat eater, so I can do green quite easily, but don't think I could cope with red days!

Thanks Sian! I made weetabix cake for the first time a few weeks ago for my dog walking group and really liked it, although it's not as good as the one my friend makes! Used the recipe off here and it was really nice, pretty much like a light malt loaf.

Well, I'm hopeful of finally seeing a loss tomorrow and maybe, just maybe, getting my 1st award after my restart!

Whoop! 2.5lbs off today and finally got my 1st award! :D

It's taken me 13 weeks this time round to lose 1st, but I suppose that's still 1lb a week overall, so if I can carry on at this rate I should be at target by November. So that's my new goal!

Really, really pleased and going to try and stick to mostly green days from now on, maybe with EE at the weekend, so I can have a cooked breakfast occasionally. Just been to the supermarket and stocked up on quorn! I think my C was pleased too, as she was a bit stumped with my unexpected gains over the last couple of weeks too!
