I'm having a pretty good week - well within syns so far, despite having a Chinese takeaway at the weekend. felt extremely virtuous with my chicken and mushroom and boiled rice! Tonight will be another test, as I'm out for a curry with some girlfriends. Not driving, so I know one of my friends will want to share a bottle of wine and there will be poppadums and naan breads aplenty! I'm going to do my best to stick to one poppadum, no naan and a chicken dhansak with boiled rice - 10.5 syns if I'm not mistaken.

How lovely to see some sunshine - it's made me more determined than ever to get another stone off before the height of summer, so that I can fit comfortably into my summer clothes...

1lb off at WI this morning - got to be pleased with that after having a takeaway and a meal out this week! I didn't quite manage to stick to 10.5 syns on Wednesday night, more like 20, but still within my weekly total.

Still feeling motivated and on-track, but can't seem to get my backside in gear to update daily!

Thanks for the kick up the backside Dizzy! I was happy with 1lb, but aiming for at least 1.5 next week... Hope you've had a much better day xxx

Secondly, sorry for not popping in much recently. Things are manic at the moment with our impending inspection and job applications/interviews. Roll on May 17th when our inspection is all over!

Thanks Sian - hope the interview went well! My son had Ofsted in at school last week - think the kids were as nervous as the teachers! Hope you had some time to enjoy the bank holiday sunshine anyway.

How lovely was it to see a bit of sunshine? Makes everything seem better! We didn't do much, except walk the dogs and sit in the garden enjoying the sun, but it was so nice to have all the windows and doors open, even if I did sit in the garden and think I should be doing some gardening!

Don't know whether it's last week's curry catching up with me, but I had a sneaky peek this morning and it looks like I've put weight on - despite having a really good weekend and walking about 5 miles... :-(

Still, that leaves me more determined to have a great rest of the week, despite the fact I'm going out for a curry on Wednesday. Could do without eating out again this week, but a friend insists - she comes round for dinner a lot and says it's about time she treated me, instead of me cooking all the time. I've told her I don't mind, but she wants to treat me - hmmm, perhaps she's hinting about my cooking!

I felt much better in my summer clothes this weekend - things are definitely a bit looser than they were in Cyprus a few weeks ago, so it's all going the right way!

I've also been trying to use my syns on things other than chocolate and wine - so yesterday I had some chutney and some reduced fat coleslaw with my dinner and one of those 10 calorie jellies, which was surprisingly nice! Morrisons have also got the greek-style mullers on offer, so I bought 3 packs - the lemon ones in particular are sooooo nice.

Grrr! What happened to the sunshine?! It was so cold last night I ended up putting the heating on again...

WI this morning and I lost 1.5lbs. Pleased with that, as that's 3 losses in a row - and 6lbs off in 3 weeks. Overall I'm losing at 1lb a week, which is slow, but steady. If I continue in that vein, I should be back at target by the middle of November, so that's my long term aim.

I can definitely feel it in my clothes now - my bigger clothes are getting too big and my smaller clothes are within reach! Plus my cup size has gone down one, so that's always a bonus when you've got barrage balloons like mine!

Disappointing WI today, only lost 0.5lb and have been on plan all week. Last night my son and bf ate a whole family bag of Minstrels while we were out at a show and I didn't have one - how restrained is that?! And I get rewarded with a paltry 0.5lb loss!!!

Oh well, it's still a loss, onwards and downwards.... I think it may be because I ate quite a lot of red meat last week - pork, beef mince and gammon - don't think it really suits me, so this week it's back to chicken and quorn! I also missed a couple of HEs, so I must go back to writing my diary every day to keep me on track.

Decided to clear out my underwear draw today and pack everything away that's either too big, or too small - the piles were about even, so that shows that I'm firmly stuck in the middle at the moment! Same with clothes - gots lots that are too big and are now packed away waiting for the next charity collection, but lots that I still can't get into - including those size 12 skinny jeans, which is my goal outfit. Still, I can see some progress now, just need to keep it up.

I really need to have a good clearout of my undies drawer.....I too have a multitude of sizes lurking in there!
I had a mass clearout of all my 'big clothes' when I almost got to target last year vowing NEVER to get so big again.......kinda wishing I'd put them in storage for a wee while with hindsight :rolleyes: BUT THIS TIME WILL BE THE LAST TIME EH!!!! xxxx
 
Lovely new profile pic Dizzy - looking good! I think it's the right thing to throw the bigger clothes out - if I'd kept mine, I'd probably have kept putting weight back on. As it was, it got to the stage where I knew I either had to buy new clothes in bigger sizes, as I'd got hardly anything left that fitted, or lose the weight I'd regained - so that's what pushed me to rejoin SW - and I'm so glad I did!

I'm having a good week, although I had a craving for naan bread last night, as we were having a curry. Fortunately, I resisted - decided I'd far rather have a KitKat!
