Dukan Recipe Thread

mmm sounds good :D would sort a sweet tooth ! but more eggs again lol

me too... closest thing we get to a sauce on a PP day!

unless you buy tommy k sauce from avidlite or low carb megastore ;) or dukan mayo? BTW From frais, a little mustard and tarragon makes a divine bearnaise sauce :D

hate tarragon with a vengeance... but tend to start all sauces with fromage frais and mustard... then add to it... but my last night's marinade for my veal escalope, while tasty, curdled and looked weird... (fat free fromage frais, mustard, garlic, soy sauce...)

mmm. my thai marinade for my turkey was too salty :( less soy next time

LA SOUPE MIRACULEUSE (miracle soup) - PV

4 garlic cloves
6 large onions
1 or 2 tins peeled tomatoes
1 large cabbage head
6 carrots
2 green peppers
1 bunch celery
3 litres water
3 low fat beef cubes ) far too many. too salty... use fewer + taste
3 low fat chicken cubes )

Peel and cut the veggies into equal size pieces. Put them in a soup pot with LOW FAT stock cubes and cover with water. Let them boil for 10 mins, reduce heat and continue cooking until the veggies are tender.

This soup is extremely filling and the chunky pieces of the veg are the reason for its weight-loss properties [so don't whizz it up!!]. The liquid and the solid elements go through the digestive tract at varying speeds. The solid pieces remain in the stomach until they are totally digested; they fill you up and produce a physical feeling of being full. The liquid goes through the stomach more quickly and arrives in the small intestine, where its nutritional ingredients stimulate the intestinal walls and generate a feeling of satisfaction. bla bla!

This soup is highly recommended for those people who arrive home starving after a long day at work. Such people can'-t resist snacking on something right away. bla bla

A recipe for a day when you're craving something sweet and about to crack... (because it involves several tolerated items AND extra bran)

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Preparation : 10 minutes Freeze: 12 hours serves 4 Cruise phase PP NOT attack
Makes 10 biscuits:

2 tablespoons oatbran
1 tablespoon wheatbran
1 tablespoon cornflour (tolerated item)
2 tablespoons powdered sweetener
1 egg
pinch of salt
(if you can get or have butter and nougat food flavourings - available online - use 3 drips of former, and 7 of latter... )

For the chocolate chips:
1 tablespoon cocoa (maximum 11% fat) - (counts THREE tolerated -- hence no more than 1/3 of your biscuits to be eaten by you that day)
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon powdered sweetener

For the chocolate chips, the night before you need them: mix the ingredients, and form a rolled strip, put in clingfilm. place in freezer overnight.

For the biscuits: mix the ingredients, then put for a few minutes in the freezer so that the mixture is less liquid. Take the chocolate out of the freezer, and scrape off chips to insert into the biscuit mixture. With a teaspoon, put teaspoon sized blobs onto a piece of waxed paper.

Bake in preheated oven 160°C, 30 mins.
Remove from waxed paper while still hot and leave to cool.

There's a curry recipe in this link, not sure whether it's the one you wanted...

Dukan Diet Recipes

To be honest, as a lazy person, I tend to simply use curry powder + fromage blanc... perhaps some chilli too!

Thanks jo
I was thinking of starting an 'ask jo thread' ;):D as I went on the allaboutoatbran site and its all in french?

Some snack ideas:

Crisps (OK Attack, Cruise PP, PV)
Whisk egg whites firmly. Spoon blobs onto a piece of waxed paper on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with curry powder or paprika. Bake in oven. (never tried and, from my experience with meringues, to be eaten soon after making!)

Vegetable crisps - (Cruise, PV days only)
-slice any veg you fancy (parboiled if hard veg like carrots), slice finely, and bake in oven

Rolled ham stuffed with quark, prawns, low fat cottage cheese, whatever...

Crabsticks (maximum 8 per day)

Oatbran free bread (OK Cruise only, counts 1 tolerated food)
1 egg, 1 tablespoon cornflour, 1 tablespoon fat free fromage frais. Mix together, add "ingredient" (sliced ham/chicken/prawns/whatever or flavour curry/paprika whatever). Mix and spoon onto waxed paper on baking sheet, flattening out to form either small rounds like blinis, or larger round like a pita.

Cherry tomatoes

Jellied egg with ham or whatever (OK Attack, Cruise), p.192 book
Softly boil an egg, prepare slice of gelatine for use according to packet instructions, wrap ham round, place in mould, pour liquid gelatine over. Set in fridge.

  • Chicken drumsticks or thighs.
  • 0% fat yogurt
  • oatbran
  • cayenne pepper
  • garlic paste
1) Mix a teaspoon of cayenne pepper into a shallow bowl of oatbran.
2) Dunk your chicken bits in the yogurt then roll them in the spicy oatbran mixture
3) Throw them in the oven at 190 degrees for 30 mins
4) Mix half a teaspoon on garlic paste into a ramekin of 0% yogurt.
5) Serve chicken with the garlic mayo.
6) Swoon in delight and remind yourself this is a diet.

:D:D:D
wow,,, is this attack friendly??

Absolutely but I'm not sure what is meant by "garlic paste"!

Oh and, if you've already had your oatbran today with your galette, you can't have any more today!

garlic just squished to make a paste ?

I know hehehe, i'm thinking of tomorrow. The paste is only to use as a mayo but I'm not bothered about that, but the chicken sounds yum so will be doing that tomorrow :)
