Consolidation Dukandebut's Trying to Stay the Same Diary

Thank, Jo. I can't begin to tell you how much I'm enjoying Conso II. Remember all of my daft panicking about starting it! ;-)

Thankfully, soup doesn't seem to make me retain water, so I'm happy to have it for either lunch or dinner.

Do you find, like me, that it keeps you feeling full and satisfied for quite a long time afterwards? I now think that it's one of the best diet weapons around.

Big baking session yesterday. Amongst other things I made were a combination of the goji muffins and the lemon yoghurt ones, with a hint of ginger. They're in the freezer at the moment and I won't get to try them until Thursday. Looking forward to that as they smell lovely. However, I think I'll have to divide the chocolate truffle torte I made for gala desserts into smaller portions. Unfortunately, I sliced and froze it before checking the amount of calories, which turns out to be just under 700 per slice!

Bathroom is now completely ripped out and they're starting on the boarding today, I think. One of our cats hid behind the sofa for most of the day as he's such a wimp (mind you, it was a bit noisy), whilst the other just calmly went to sleep on a comfy chair.

Today is PV with gala 2:

B Yoghurt with oatbran, apple juice
L Cheese and spring onion toastie, yoghurt
D Homemade tomato soup with garlic pizza and Thorntons chocolate toffee tart

It's true that I do enjoy my homemade soups now, but I can't imagine wanting them when it's hot (and indeed I ate my beetroot soup cold on Saturday which was a bit peculiar, but because I'd overdosed on the old chilli powder, it was weird tasting anyway!!)

Yum yum to chocolate torte and cripes re calories of just one slice! I'd have polished off the lot "in my previous life" with a pot of cream!

Oh, no! I forgot about the cream! It really does need cream (well, that's my excuse).

You still worried about me losing more weight, Jo?:D;)

great that things are underway with the bathroom dd, all the sooner to get finished! your truffle torte sounds delish, hope the portions don't have to go too small!

Thanks, Em. I think I may have to slice a little off the current portion sizes and give the excess to my lucky, lucky husband!

Had a slight panic yesterday over water coming out of the overflow after the fitters had left and discovering that the loo in our other bathroom is now taking in too much water. Thankfully, I have the most fabulous Dad who gave me instructions on what to do. So I have a weird-looking, but effective, ballcock harness in place, made from green string and masking tape. Hopefully, that should keep things in check until they return tomorrow. The plasterer should be here to do the ceiling this afternoon.

Today is a normal PV:

B Yoghurt, apple juice
L Tomato soup, ham and tomato sandwich, yoghurt
D Dukan pizza (galette, cheese, ham, tomato purée, onion, egg), followed by crème au chocolat

hope your ballcock stays in place !!!!

im going to make my lad a dukan pizza tonight for tea wish me luck lol

roflmao !!!!
will let you know im sure he will love it

Am so tired this morning as we got back late last night and I had a load of stuff to do before going to bed. 6.30am came far too early and I could hardly open my eyes, never mind getting up. Hope I can stay awake today as I've lots to do.

PP day:

B Yoghurt with lemon, ginger and goji muffin (henceforth known as LGG muffin, to make life easier)
L Turkey rashers, chive cottage cheese, LGG muffin
D Oriental meatballs, LGG muffin
S LGG muffin

Hope these LGG muffins have worked out okay. They smell nice, and I'm just about to try one.

Mm did you use lemon juice or some zest or just flavouring?

Lovely use of henceforth ;)

Why, thank you! I do enjoy a bit of henceforthing every now and again. :D

Mousie - The muffins are absolutely delicious. I used a Weight Watchers lemon flavoured yoghurt and added a few drops of lemon flavouring, plus a pinch of ground ginger and some gojis.

They sound lovely... (to define words, you can always use the: hereinafter referred to as "BLA BLA" formulation... or is that just in my field ;))

If you fall asleep, worry not. Someone will pop a jacket under your head (take a photo and post it here) and mop up your dribble, I'm sure...

Hereinafter, I shall use hereinafter. :D

If my husband was around, there's no doubt that he would take such a photo and flaunt it around. I remember him taking great pleasure in photographing my enormously swollen and bruised cheeks after my wisdom teeth removal, the naughty man!

As for the muffins, I'd highly recommend that particular flavour combo. They are my new bestest muffins. :D

Lemon, ginger and goji muffins - genius - will definitely be trying. I think we should get the 'Inspired by Dukan - imagined by Dukaneers' recipe book out on the market.

The first lot of tiles are now on our bathroom wall and I kept having to go and take a peek at them all yesterday evening. So exciting! Yes, it does look a bit like a cave - but, hopefully, a very nice cave. ;-)

PV Burger Day today:

B Yoghurt with apple juice
L Tomato soup with ham and tomato sandwich, yoghurt
D Galette, burger, homemade ketchup, gherkin, grilled onion and cheese, followed by crème au chocolat

At least we admit it when/if we make mistakes in our recipes!!

All those tiles sticking on? We heard a sickening thud once in the middle of the night during the process! ugh!
