Ess3X Girly - last chance to loose - Diary

thanks scrumbles - well I am having a lovely coffee with some now and it is lush! Oh I have missed white coffee lol

i am sure someone will have posted it i think i have seen it but if not you can find it on yourlighterside or i can post it if you cant find it

found it now - good old google - just need to get some creme of tartar (although I read somewhere you can substitute vinegar?)

i bought some in tesco near the baking powder im not sure about the substitution or why its even needed, some people put a spoonful of mustard in them, i did at first but i prefer the taste without now

so tonight wanted something different - so I had deep fried squid tonight, dusted it in paprika and a little soya flour - was yummy! So all think thin for my weigh in tomorrow morning

So tomorrow I am making my Mother in laws famous "Recipe" this is what it is called lol. I am making it for me and the OH but I am adapting it by replacing the brown sugar with splenda, however it requires one tablespoon of honey so I am a bit worried about this basically this is "THE RECIPE"

Approx 3lbs spare ribs or pork belly strips
1 x tbs veggie oil or olive oil
1 x garlic crushed
1 x onion finely chopped
5 x fl oz tom puree or about 2 tbs
2 x tbs lemon juice (I know this is not allowed either)
salt and pepper
1 tsp dried sage
3 tbs brown sugar (going to substitute with splenda)
1 x oxo cube
4 x tbs worcester sauce
1 tsp english mustard
1 x tbs honey

1. Fry onions and garlic in oil
2. drain any excess oil add everything else stir well bring to the boil (works best if not too runny - thicker the better)
3. Pour over ribs cover and put in oven (1.5 hours on gas 5 but if you have time lower and cook longer - longer the better).

It makes loads and it sooooo nice so I really want to have some - just wondering how bad the lemon and honey would be? What do you all think?

Gonna put it into mfp to see what it says

Your table looks weird on my iPhone but the ingredients sound really tasty!!!

So weighted! 3lbs off! Yay! Just over the first stone gone!!! So happy!

Just caught up with your diary, well done on your great loss. Love the sound of your veggie bake, think I will try that today, just got to get the spreadable cheddar. Thanks for posting, can't read your recent recipe on iPhone, it's gone all weird!
Enjoy your Friday :)

Thanks Sandra the weird bit it the table from mfp just with the calories etc.. so wouldnt worry too much lol

Yay! Fab loss, Ess3x!! Over a stone gone and into the 14's at the same time - excellent! :party0011: :D

This diet is really working for you, isn't it?

Keep at it! xx

Hi, love the sound of that receipe. There is sw receipe for something similar, but it uses coke free ( which is allowed) instead of honey and sugar, it goes all sticky when cooked down, probably won't taste the same, but it is good.

well done on the loss!!!!!!!!!! i make a bbq pork for my kids which i really should adapt for me and try but your recipe does sound lush, why take out the pork? thought pork had no carbs or am i misreading it?

On MFP it gives the pork carbs which I don't really understand so I just ignored the carb content from the pork when I calculated it. I have the "RECIPE" in the oven at the moment - slow cooking them on gas 3 for about 3 hours - house smells lovely! Will post a picture once they are done x
Also just done a whole document for my Daddy on how to do Atkins - love him! He bought the book, read it, then said can you tell Mum what to give me and tell me what I can have ha ha!

Hi I can't read the mfp post either, how many carbs did it come out as?

5.8 per serving (serves 8) or 4 if your greedy lol!
But with mfp it makes it 11 as they count the pork as having carbs???

I sometimes have that problem with mfp, when you put pork in to search, you should scroll through the options til you find one without carbs......
