Working til closing time tonight so pretty sure bf wants to get a takeaway seeing as I won't be in for a reasonable dinner time and he probably cba cooking or doesn't want to eat alone lol. Will get a chow mein as its pretty low in syns :) and because I know in advance I can save my syns for it and snack on free stuff for lunch :D

Just ordered dinner, feel like death just now as I've not eaten since lunch!

Will be weighing in early tomorrow as I start work at my actual WI time! Really hope I've done well, but trying not to get my hopes up about it :)

Ooooh also... I got my college results today!! A A A!!!! :D Will be going to my first choice uni, booya! :D Totally deserve a drink in celebration for that but sadly can't be hungover tomorrow lol. Going to meet up with mates at the end of the month to celebrate :) if I don't have to work the day after, that is  weekend working is a shock to the system and I've not even done it yet!! Haha! But tbh, I love my new job :)!! So much better than sitting in a call centre twiddling my thumbs!

Food diary :)

EE today

Breakfast: coffee (part A)
Lunch: weetabix (rest of HEA plus HEB)
Dinner: Chinese takeaway- 1/2 portion chicken chow mein (3.5 syns) 1/2 portion chicken in batter (8.5 syns) chicken noodle soup (can't find syns, it's just noodles & stock & chicken though right?!)
Snacks: doubt I'll have anything after dinner :)
Total syns: 11.5

I actually can't believe I'm having a Chinese for under 15 syns? The soup must have syns!

PS I know this is a terrible day even if I have stayed under syns, there's no superfree in sight (well apart from veg in the chow mein) but I
have reasons! I had a hectic morning, followed by a hectic afternoon, then I was working without a break so actually didn't have time to eat! Next time I do a shift like that I'll eat better, promise :D

Fab news about the grades! Getting into a routine with food when working odd shifts just takes a but of getting used to and preparation but like you say you know how to deal with it next time by bringing more food lol! X

There doesn't seem to be a routine just now, hope it settles into one eventually. Yeah defo need to prepare more. Had so much stuff going on before my shift, need to chill out next time there's one like that and not run about daft forgetting to eat or even think to take food with me!

Ah well i was gonna do a degree in Medicine first time round but didn't get the grades :( so I did Med Sci, then transferred straight to Clinical (3rd year) after my BSc so got in anyway :) (Unfortunately all went tits skywards after that as I was run over on my elective  Long story :sigh: )

What are you doing now Erm? :)

Weighed in before work and the scales are saying 19 1, so sts this week! I suppose I only really stuck to it for 4 days! Next week I want a loss!!!

Must say tho my new job has got me moving around a lot more, maybe sts is because of fluid retention? My arms & legs ache like I've been doing the 30DS!!

Bugger all currently! Ive tried my hands at a zillion things, had my own record label for a bit, then did fine art, transferred from that to Philosophy (my second degree), got a First so started an MA in that but found academia not really my thang. Currently appear to be in the middle of a nervous breakdown or summat  Waiting for some appointments with some careers service doojits for adults. I have the qualifications but no recent experience so its a ***** trying to get your foot back in the door :( I dont mind volunteering to get experience but nor for the likes of frickin Tesco!

Ooh my friend had a record label, said it was loads of fun! Well done on the philosophy first!! I loved that at school but I got a bit argumentative with the teacher so dropped it lol. Then I read Sophie's World and was put off it for life :(

Thats the killer, if you've no experience you can't get the work! I'm sure the careers folk will offer great advice, my careers advisor helped me into getting my admin qualifications when I was fed up of working in kitchens. That gave me the experience and certificates I needed to get the job I eventually left to go do biology lol. What sort of work are you after? :)

No food diary yesterday because all I ate was a Maccie d's and chicken satays and then drank bourbon!

This working lark isn't doing my diet any favours lol. Done 6 hours today on a coffee and a bacon sandwich! Sat here shaking waiting on my dinner!!

EE today

I need to start eating properly :( off to work in a couple of hours so about to go get ready and if I have time I'll have a decent breakfast! This new job is pretty intense, never sit down, always running around, lifting heavy boxes, so I really need to eat more otherwise I'll crash and burn lol. The shifts have just been so random and not getting a break means I miss meal times, then when I get home I just feel ill and don't want to eat or can't be bothered to prepare anything so eat ready made stuff like crisps :( really not good for me!

EE today

Breakfast: coffee (part A) weetos bar (5 syns)
Lunch: working through lunch time so nothing
Dinner: rigatoni bolognese
Snacks: mango, shape yoghurt (0.5 syns) turkish delight (10 syns) 2 satsumas, cheese & ham toastie (HEB 2 syns)
Total syns: 17.5

Aaahh a day off :) just what I needed! Somehow worked 6 days in a row  got today off but back tomorrow. I obviously needed it because I slept in until 12! Oops! Work is good even though I'm covered in bruises and aching, but I suppose it'll be worth it on pay day! :D Hoping that I get trained up on other things soon as I'm starting to feel a bit useless when customers ask me to do refunds etc :sigh:

Really want a loss on Saturday but feel like I'm too busy or too tired to eat properly. I feel like it's easier to reach for crisps than go make up a fruit salad. I have tons of fruit in the fridge just sitting there untouched! Then when I have the time to do it, like right now, I'm not even hungry :( Will try to finish the strawberries & grapes over the next couple of days before they go to waste.

Hoping that all this extra exercise will help too. Seriously, working in a shop is like doing the 30DS lol. 8 weeks until the wedding (not mine, a friends!) so a cheeky half stone by then would be amazing :D I've seen a dress I like but it's 50's sizing so a 24 is much smaller than say Evan's 24's which fit me, so to fit into the dress I need to lose like 10 inches around my hips. I dunno if that can be done in 8 weeks? I have special knickers that pull me in but 10 inches is pushing it! But! I think a half stone off would make an ordinary 24 dress fit much nicer. Some of the 24's I seen on ebay were 48 inch hips, mine are currently (well as of last Saturday) 53 inches... 5 inches off, plus special knickers to help!! Maybe that can be done in 8 weeks?? Or else I will just wear my pretty size 18 Monsoon dress!!

Anyway I'm blethering. Basically in 8 weeks time I want to have lost half a stone! Totally do-able if I can stop eating those damn crisps and start munching on fruit. I just need the energy to chop it up! Who are these sickos who can eat fruit whole?!

It's lunchtime but I'm gonna skip it til later, so food diary in a bit :D

It is totally do-able chick :) like you say just requires bit of preparation and planning!

I'm back to work at end of next week after like 7months off its gona be so strange getting back into the swing of things. X

I suck at the preparation and planning bit tho lol. I think for days where I start early, I'll prep some fruit the night before to have at breakfast so that I'm not running on a cereal bar for the whole shift. I usually end up having to make my bf his lunch so may as well make myself something.

That's great that you are going back to work! Yeah I can imagine it will be very strange. Are you going back on a phased return thing? 7 months is a long time without a routine but I'm sure after a couple of weeks you'll feel like you were never off!! x

Yeh trying to get details sorted out today for a phased return just waiting on a phone call back about it. It's all quite scary now that it's happening as been off for so so long!!

Yeh finding a little time the night before makes a world of difference. Or if time is short the little prepared packs are handy (the ones meant for kids are pretty cheap lol) or have a bag of frozen fruit and just pop some into a tub the night before and keep it in fridge it will be defrosted by the time you go to eat it.

If you are not too fussed about eating similar lunches few days in a row I like making a big batch of soup and then can have that for few days lunches. Only prep time is chopping some veg then just chuck it all in a pot leave it for a bit then a quick blend for a minute and sorted :) I bulk make veggie pasta dishes for lunch too again do quick cheap and tasty.

X
