Extra Easy: My weekly promise - 1 new thing

Thanks, I have them occasionally, lol.

I like having dried fruit for a HEx - normally a mix of prunes and apricots - but I find I can fit it in better on a green or original day.

Yesterday I bought a bag of vegetable crudités with a beetroot dip to try. It was gorgeous but not Synfree - it contained crème fraiche, Greek yogurt and some oil - so I'm researching recipe and going to try making my own this weekend.

Ok - bought 2 things to try today - only ever tried them once and wasnt keen - Fresh Raspberries and...

Mini Scollops - just not sure what to do or have with them yet?

I know I tried a tiny bit when we went to Sheffield but id like to try a meal with them, even as a starter :D

I love raspberries! You could make a sort of Eton mess as the meringue would offset the slight tartness of the berries.

I've never had scallops. Seared scallops with minted pea purée is a traditional dish and looks attractive. Mmmm -I wondering 'm brave enough to try!

Oooo I have meringue nests in too nom nom that might be my late night treat tonight hehe

Just been looking at the minted pea puree recipe Patty - not sure if im brave enough for that one lol. I was thinking of mixing them with some lemon juice, garlic, coriander and god knows what as a starter lol

I've only ever had scallops in a seafood broth at a restaurant once and they kind of got lost among all the other bits of seafood in there.

Do you mind if I jump on the band wagon? I get in ruts too and have promised to try one new recipe every week (usually a Friday). Tonight I'm making the 'fried' chicken from the fakeaways book; thought I'd start with something easy!

I don't often have scallops but it's the only shellfish OH likes so I have cooked them. I fry off a bit if bacon, add the scallops and a few handful of fresh sage fry for just a minute or two ( it says on oack how long to fry the scallops for) then just serve with a squeeze of lemon juice.

I have looked in my cupboards and have some AH chilli and lime quinoa to have its three syns for the packet. I am planning that for my lunch as I have never had it. The best before dates Oct last year but looking on we. It says quinoa lasts for a couple of years so going to risk it! If I dont like it though I will try some in date stuff!!

My quinoa lovely will have again
