Sounds like you have some control back :) well done love! X

Thanks hun. I think the more freedom I have with food the more likely I am to abuse it which is why calorie counting never would have worked for me when I was losing weight. I haven't gotten away with my eating either as I'm close to 10 stone again now. Still below target but it's time to reign it in before I gain anymore. Plan is to do SW in the week and cal count at the weekend so I can have more treats. I think the problem is that I'm getting up earlier now that I'm working so there are more hours in the day. Plus the job is ridiculously boring so all I want to do is eat! I've already had breakfast before 7am so I'll be hungry again by 10am.

In other news - I ordered a pair of size 10 fitted trousers from Dorothy Perkins and they fit! I'm wearing them quite high so they do up but they still fit. I honestly didn't think I'd be able to get them over my bum when I got them out of the package! I'm definitely keeping them as they're a good measuring tool if I put on weight. Once they don't do up it's time to get worried!

Oh wow congrats on the size 10 skinny minny.

Ps we move this Saturday 0800!

Thanks hun! Yey that's so exciting. I hope the move goes smoothly for you both and I'm looking forward to seeing you all moved in.

I'm feeling a bit **** today re work stuff. Basically just feeling like a massive failure and that I've let myself down, and for the first time I'm regretting the decision to leave the BBC. I just feel that with my skills, experience, intelligence and competitive nature I shouldn't be doing crappy data entry and registering with temp agencies when I'm almost 27. It just isn't what I thought would happen. I know I've had some great life experiences as a result of my decisions but I just want to be happy and settled in a job that I actually feel some passion and contentment in. I'm also really missing Cheltenham which I think is part of my "grass is always greener" outlook. I need to get back in touch with my BBC contacts and just spend an evening this week committing to getting back in touch. I also registered with an agency that the university's use so fingers crossed something comes of that. I just need to stay positive but job hunting is just so morale sapping. I can't wait to be in a position where I don't have to do yet another job application or agency registration.

Well I've got a meeting at the BBC on Thursday. I'm not really sure how I feel about returning as I'd pretty much put that stage of my life behind me. But I'll go in positive and see what comes of the meeting and then go from there. It would be great if I could get a role that wasn't in production but we'll see.

I was planning on being good tonight as I've already used most of my syns today. I'm planning to have stirfry but I just need to resist the mayflower curry sauce. If I do have it I'll only be 2 syns over... but then I can't have pudding. Ooh decisions!!! (update: I gave in!)

Maybe its just that everything has changed love, and maybe some of the old mixed with some of the new will actually be just what you need in all this transitioning you have going on :)

Well done on the size 10's! I have never ever been a size 10, so that in itself is pretty awesome. xx

Eek just about to go into my meeting at the BBC. Still don't know how I feel about returning! And I'm desperate for a wee lol!

Really hope the BBC goes well for you. You just never really know what could come of it!

Your food sounds gorgeous as always. That seabass looks delicious! Would you eat the skin? Did you get it in a fish mongers or in a supermarket? I really must start buying more fish because I love it.

How is the house going in general? Does it feel like home yet? Is it the case that you are still doing bits and bobs to it every day or has that part settled?

Hey hun - all is good with me I've just been too busy/tired to come on here lately. I'm sticking to the plan and doing SW in the week and being a bit off plan at the weekend. I stayed mainly within syns last week but Friday night I was out at a friends house and she made beef stroganoff and chocolate cheesecake. It wouldn't be what I'd eat if I had a choice but it was nice and also involved lots of wine, which luckily is a one off for me. I really don't enjoy going out and drinking heavily anymore. A bottle of wine at a friends or going out to dinner is more me than a wild night out! The OH's parents were visiting Saturday and Sunday and we went to an amazing restaurant near us that I'd been dying to go to since we moved. Here is the link - http://albertsdidsbury.com/menus/a-la-carte/. I had Venison carpaccio, followed by Seabass & Seafood risotto then I shared a lemon curd for pud. It was so good so I'll definitely be going again!!!

The meeting at the BBC went well but I'll definitely not be returning in a production role, I'm 100% sure I don't want to go back to that. There is a possibility to go into an administrative role within a department so I might pursue that. I may also be able to get some temporary work at the university so fingers crossed thing's are coming together. We're going to be back in Cheltenham for Easter which I'm really looking forward to, and we're also visiting a few wedding venues so fingers crossed we see somewhere we like.

I weighed in this morning and I'm back up to 10st so in the danger zone so I'm going to try to be careful this week syn-wise. It is TOTM and I'm pretty bloated at the moment so I'm hoping it will go down again by next week. I'd be happy to average at about 9st 10lbs so I have room to fluctuate without going over 10st.

When will you know about the possible admin job within the BBC? That could definitely be a good place to start and could lead to other opportunities. Do you have to keep an eye on it or is there an actual position and offer there? Sounds like things are really falling in to place hun. Some work in the university will be great. I an rather enjoying being back in education. It is certainly varies day by day. I work in a small office but that has its perks.

I'm the same with weekends, i'm always more relaxed than mid-week. I've finally had a succession of good days so I need to just keep it up and start properly losing weight again as I am sick of yo yoing! I cant even call it a 'plateaux' because i haven't actually started losing weight yet!! It's very easy to get down about but pointless as that will lead to comfort eating. I'm focused on making good choices now! I really am determined.

I so know what you mean about nights out. Funnily enough i am in the exact same boat as you and totally prefer bottle of wine with a friend or a meal and a few glasses of wine etc. you only love once so i suppose i am finally comfortable comfortable admitting that! Its OK to not be a part animal, I tell myself! Haha.

How is the house going? Have you settled in well?

X

We had steak and chips for dinner tonight. The steak was homemade but the chips were from the chippy and my stomach is killing me now and the OH is suffering the effects lol!

A 100% day tomorrow and I've got my first attempt at a SW quiche for my lunch. I did a base of sausage meat from 2 sainsburys be good to yourself cumberland sausages, then mixed 2 eggs with 150g cottage cheese, cooked bacon, onion, broccoli and sweetcorn and poured it on top. Then baked that for about half an hour. I've got half of it in my lunchbox for tomorrow so I hope it's nice!

Happy Easter!

WI on the mother-in-law-to-be's scales today and I'm 10st 2lbs eek! I am a bit clogged up (if you know what I mean) and I am still TOTM so fingers crossed this goes down. After today I'm planning to do a 100% week and that means staying within syns, 1 HEXa & 1 HEXb and no booze. I've got nothing planned at all next weekend so there's no reason I can't have a good 2 weeks straight. I'll update daily too so you can all see how angelic I'm (hopefully) being. I just know we're going to get tonnes of chocolate today so this could be a struggle...
