Well done on the weight loss, Vintagepockets.

I used a baking potato and chopped it into chip shapes then put them into the microwave for a few minutes. I then spread them out on a foil lined baking tray sprayed with frylight and cooked at about 180 until they looked done. They look a bit floppy because I wrapped them in the tin foil and put them in the bottom of the oven whilst I grilled the burgers.

Thanks Suzyflo! :)

I'm not overly annoyed about last night as I did really enjoy the wine! I know I'm going to at least STS this week as I'm going up to York to see friends at the weekend. It's been nearly a year since I've seen them so I'm really excited, but I'm feeling a bit anxious about it. It's silly really, but I've had complete control over all cooking since I started SW. I'm considering taking Frylight and some yoghurts, fruit and bread with me but also think I should just let go a little? I'm going to have a think of something we can have that isn't too SW unfriendly. I'm hoping we'll buy food for the weekend when we get there, but if not I don't want to offend the host by not eating what she makes! Argh, its only one weekend - I need to chill out! I have decided to stick to Vodka & Soda so I can at least keep the booze syn count down!

Food Diary...

Breakfast - Magic porridge (HEXb), banana, apple

Lunch - Pasta w/ 50g Philadelphia light sweet chilli (HEXa), ham, red onion, courgette, mushrooms, spinach

Snack - Kit Kat (5.5 syns), M&S tikka mini fillets,
grapes

Dinner - Sea Bass w/ basil, Maris Piper mash (2 syns), broccoli, green beans, edamame beans

Snack - bite of chocolate (2 syns)

3 tea w/ skimmed milk (HEXa)
Sparkling water

Total syns = 9.5

Total weekly syns so far = 45/105 (60)

It's also my bosses birthday tomorrow so she'll be bringing in a ton of naughty foods. And the worst thing is that its going to be laid out on the desk next to me! I just hope she mainly brings in cake as I can resist that. However, if there is a sausage roll in sight I'm doomed! I'm going to take in loads of SW friendly snacks with me to try to alleviate the temptation! I'm also loving feeling so skinny at the moment so I just need to hold onto that thought and it should get me through.
Wish me luck! :cross:

Dinnner... Yum is all I can say! Tesco Finest Seabass fillets are amazing - I rarely find bones in them and they're so easy to cook.

Syn free snack (nom)...
the OH is bringing me home some Sweet Chilli chicken slices (also free) from Sainsbury's so I'll let you know how those are too! :)

Good luck with the birthday food. Think skinny and back away from the sausage roll!

Don't worry too much about what you eat/drink on your York trip, you're allowed a break & as long as you get right back at it when you get home I'm sure you'll be fine. Relax and have a great time :)

If you were thinking of eating out at all I would recommend a couple of Weatherspoons meals that I've tried:
Five bean quorn chilli with yellow basmati rice and tortilla chips - 6 syns on e/e or green.
Sweet chillli noodles - 1 syn on e/e and green...you can also have this with chicken breast which is 10 syns on e/e and green, 13 on red.
Not bad syn values for pub meals. Think there's a Weatherspoons at York.

Thanks for the tip. Im always a bit wary of wetherspoons just because its so cheap. But I may well give it a go.

Not a great day today tbh - few handfuls of bacon frazzles & salted popcorn, half a sausage roll (4.5 syns), 1 chocolate cornflake cluster (2 syns), 2 crackers w/ camembert (HEXa). Also out for drinks tonight. Everything else has been free.

Im just going to enjoy the weekend and try to be good where I can, then just start again Monday. See you all on the other side!

its so stupid about the cooked fruit thing, if you have 1 grilled banana its exactly the same as a raw one, I understand the smoothie thing too, to an extent, but I'd rather chop up all my fruit with a yogurt and make 1 smoothie than eat like 4 different pieces of fruit a day, rant rant waaa! xxx

I totally agree although you probably wouldn't eat that much fruit in one sitting and it doesn't fill you up in the same way (weird but true). The mashed banana thing I don't get though! It get's mashed up in your mouth!

I even emailed SW and they still couldn't give me an explanation about the grilled banana thing. Therefore, I just don't syn it! :p It's only grilled and ends up exactly the same size, and I only have one not three! I'm sure lots of people would disagree with me, but I don't have it that often and it's better than a chocolate bar! :D

I wasn't going to bother posting my diary today but I have so I can at least see what I've had. This is painful! Definitely not expecting a loss this week!

Food Diary...

Breakfast - Magic porridge (HEXb), banana, blueberries

Snack -
M&S tikka mini fillets, sugarsnap peas

Lunch - Jacket potato, tuna mayo (1 syn), sweetcorn, 20g low low cheese (HEXa)

Dinner - Chilli Con Carne (0.5 syns) (tinned tomatoes, red pepper, red onion, garlic, chilli) & rice

When it went downhill...
Snacks (throughout the day) - few handfuls of bacon frazzles (10 syns), salted popcorn (8 syns), half a sausage roll (4.5 syns), 1 chocolate cornflake cluster (2 syns), 2 crackers (3 syns) w/ camembert (HEXa)

3 tea w/ skimmed milk (1.5 syns)
Sparkling water
Cider (tbc)

Total syns = tbc

I'm not going to bother counting tomorrow and Sunday, although I definitely won't be going crazy. I'm going to pack breakfast, fruit and chicken strips for the long train journey tomorrow morning, and we're doing a food shop when we arrive so I'm going to try and convince them to have a stirfry (or at least something SW friendly). Booze, however, will definitely be my downfall this weekend! :p

It doesnt look as bad as you think ........... But instead of worrying, just enjoy it ..... and then start a fresh on monday .. and more importantly HAVE FUN ... we'd all be well boring if we sat in with our slimming world meals everyday and didnt go out heheeee :eek::p xx

It's totally fine to have some crazy weekends where you just give in and eat/drink without stressing! Just get straight back on it Monday. Or do some exercise so you can counter the foodie guilt. Its what I try doing when I know I've eaten stuff that I know won't help, then hopefully u just maintain ur loss :)))) have fun. Xx

Thanks guys. Definitely agree that I need to let go a bit. Im out with friends tonight and I know this sounds ridiculously big headed but I keep catching myself in the mirror and I can't help grinning like a crazy person. Im so chuffed about how much I've lost and the difference its made to my figure. I honestly never thought I was capable of the willpower and determination this 'diet' has taken. Feeling very smug right now! :D

What an inspiration. It shows that SW really is a change to our way of eating and not a diet.
