19 weeks until 2014. I haven't set a goal. But now that I'm thinking about it;

Goal is to lose 66lbs by December 31, 2013 so I should weigh around 234.6lbs

I was getting off the highway and a cat ran in front of me and I was going 40 and couldn't stop and I hit it. I felt my whole left side of the wheels crush it and now I'm crying because i feel so bad.

Ooo! Delish watermelon..makes my mouth water!

I remember having some when I visited Greece and it was soo fab.. the stuff we get here is dismal in comparison.
..and only 15 weeks till my next cruise.. better get my mojo back real quick!

A man who I got to the gym with had lost 75lbs in 6.5 weeks. Yes, I'm serious. I think he has another 200lbs or so to go.

And yet here I am struggling.
 
Well no disrespect to the man but that's really not healthy. Did you find out how?

we are all individual and I tend o lose a lot slower than some in my slimming world group...it's frustrating but I guess we have different metabolism and bodies. I try not to compare myself to others but instead compare to my previous losses. You're doing really well and taking steps to lose weight but also be fit and healthy which is much better than losing 10lb plus a week. Don't compare yourself be the best you can be :)
 
I completely understand what you're saying but its known that if you have a lot to lose, you'll lose much faster. He weighed over 500lbs in the beginning of the year. He's use to eat 3-5lbs a food a day. That's 10,500-17,500 calories in ONE DAY!!!!! I don't even eat that much in a week. So his doctor had him cut it down to 1,400 calories a day. Of course he will be dropping weight like crazy because his whole life style just changed. He spends about 3-4 hours at the gym and we talk all the time. In fact, we're Facebook friends and you can definitely tell on his face and stomach area that its gotten smaller.

Men lose a lot quicker than women, in the time its taken me to lose 2 and a half stone a whole load of men have got to target starting off bigger than me :( but its just life. What he's doing us working for him - if you want quicker losses, find out who he spoke to - maybe a dietician or PT or doctor. Could you have a thyroid problem if your losses are slow? Worth looking into if you feel your losses aren't proportionate to how hard you work :(

I have spoken to a doctor. I was suppose to get blood work done but my insurance was done when I lost my job and to get blood work done is about 300USD (this does not include seeing the doctor again which is another 120USD) and I can't pay that just for them to take blood. I'll have to wait till I get insurance again. It's very, very expensive here to get insurance if you don't have a job that provides it.

I speak to him everyday so I know what he eats. We work out together a lot. He's in the pool for 2-3 hours with me and we work out in there. It's just stupid because I work out 2-4 hours a day and eat properly and eh. I mean, it's ok for now. I'm enjoying the gym and people are already noticing even though I only lost 7.8lbs but I can tell my body is toning up.

It's 6:43 in the morning and I have no clue why my body won't let me sleep. I'm exhausted. I usually weigh myself after waking up too. Hm. What to do, what to do...
