Its a small world huh???

Ive been doing a lottttttt of thinking over the past week....Ive been struggling this week big time - so withdrawing from the September challenge...however ive decided my need to lose weight and be at a healthy BMi is much more important than any food i crave! I want to get to a BMI of just below 24 before xmas, which will be my new goal. One i hope i can achieve as now i am happy being able to buy smaller clothes, but i need this psychologically more than anything. If i am medically 'healthy', then i hope its easier to accept myself regardless of the scales or clothing sizes. I have always been chubby/fat and CD is making it possible for me to reach my ultimate goal. No other diet would do in the time i need it to happen.

Its not going to be cheap as ive got to eat into some savings i wasnt planning on touching til next year - but this is more important for me just now.

So, off to alter my goal in the hope it inspires and motivates me more.

Hope you are all having a good time, a positive time on CD. Day 4 back on SS for me and its going great! The scaless 'appear' to have shown a 1lb or 2 off, so fingers crossed by the time WI comes, i will be a few more down.

Got my Wedding Anniversary on Saturday - DH taking me out for dinner though.....hoping they do a plain salad.

Hello Girls,

Sorry I have been away for so long. I am in New York City working at my "real" job. It is 3:31 am here and although I have been here a week I still have jet lag

The reason I am here is that my mentor decided at the last minute to take early retirement and they promoted me into his job. Hi last day is this Thursday and I am trying to learn all that I can in this short space of time.

He is an awesome guy and I will be sad to see him go on a selfish way, but happy for him as he gets to spend all the time he wants with his amazing wife and gradkids. They have been married for 47 years!

The good news is the new job is quite a bit more ££, the bad news is.. well I'm scared! it is a LOT of responsibility.

On the CD front, I haven't been SS like I wanted to, due to being on the road and business dinners every night. I am trying my best to at least sts, I will weigh when I get home Saturday and give you the update.

Thinking about you both and wishing you well for the week.

My husband & l had a lovely time at the Erskine Ball & staying over at the hotel at the weekend. The fireworks display after dinner was fantastic. I enjoyed the ball last year, but even more so this year, maybe because l felt more confident having lost weight.

I love that blue. Are your shoes gold?

The shoes are a sort of neutral biege colour material with little sequins. There are also sequins on my outfit, but you can't really see them in the photo.

Quizz, you look great in the photo on the GGLG website.

I've got a rotten cold at the moment, been at home today with my 6 year old son as he's unwell too. Took him to the doctor who gave him a prescription for antibiotics & steriod tablets as he suffers from chest trouble from time to time, especially when the weather gets cold & damp.

I'm finding it hard sticking to CD at the moment, l'm really craving carb foods, don't know if it's because of having the cold, wish it would make me not want anything but my CD stuff. I've had a CD bar & choc. tetra and some ice-cream so far today. ( tut-tut! - at least it was lower fat ice-cream than Haagen-Das or Ben & Jerry's, but still not good). Last night l was sooo wanting crisps (we buy them for the kids school snack), but l just went to bed early to stay out of harm's way.

Thanks. I got them back in 2002 for a wedding l was going to. I bought them at Rogerson Footwear here in Ayr. I've just looked at the box, the make is Khrio, style 12849BBE, on the sole of the sandals there is a sticker saying Vera Pelle.

It's 11:20pm - l'm in bed typing this on the laptop. I'm still craving crisps (or anything else with carbs!), but l'm not going to give in as l'll be all annoyed with myself afterwards. Roll on weigh-in on Friday - only 2 more days to get through till then. I've been finding this week really tough.
Off to brush my teeth again, drink some more water then go to sleep.

Don't mind at all, glad you liked them. Hopefully you'll be able to buy something similar in London or on your next trip to the US or maybe get them online. I think my ones were made in Italy, although l bought them here in Scotland.
