FUNCURLS FOOD DIARY, BLOG and CHIT CHAT!! New target set!!

aww Hev - its hard when the Pup doesnt want to play ball. :( sending you hugs babe xxx

Thanks hun!! I know- naughty pup!! He's very strong-willed and very selective about who he listens to in life in terms of advice!! If someone he really admired and looked up to came on the telly and struck a few chords with him I think he'd perk up and listen!! I'm trying to think of someone in real life he'd listen to- someone older and wiser who has had scares themselves maybe?!! I don't know!! X He needs shock tactics I think!! X

Same here for many years too. Paul's BP and cholesterol were always unbelievably good and even seeing me succeed prev wasn't enough. It's now when he's doing something that he has admitted he's not worried about his weight it size. He's down to 15 st 7 now and feeling heaps better about himself - now he can't understand why he didn't do something before!!
Like you i found it really difficult to help him, at work they were always going to takeaways and he's a suckers for pies, cakes and biscuits. For him it's an all or nothing for a while.
Florida will a fair gain but were expecting that and he knows it will be the case too. Like you I know many people who have piled the weight on after a vlcd, I've been there before - thankfully only half before I reigned it back in.
I hope that this time having been there before I'll be far more sensible about the approach after finishing. We both love SW and know that we can maintain once we've re-fed properly :)
We are eating food, I have porridge in morn, lunch is a milkshake or thick dessert, dinner is a hot chilli, spag Bol sachet or protein with veg allowance and snack is a Choc bar. So far away from the old shakes only :) fingers crossed it continues to work. I'd like to lose 3 stone then think about moving onto SW again.

In time your hubbie will do something but only when he's really ready xxx

Thanks for that reassurance hun! I soooo wish he would! But I fear that it would be an all or nothing approach with him- as thats the kind of person he is! He also HATES being told what to do or following someone elses' rules!

What you're describing to me with the diet sounds quite managable and pleasant to me actually! I'm sure you'll do brilliantly! As long as you know that SW rocks u won't go far wrong lol x

A stubborn man.... Mmmmm surely not ;)
Sounds just a bit like Paul, I have to sew the seeds of ideas weeks before hoping he'll eventually have a fantastic idea, sometimes works in my favour and then maybe not lol
Gotta love em though xx

And . . .
* 3gm extra on baking potato (red)
* 2gm extra new potatos (red)
* 8gm extra baked beans (red)
* 3gm extra on wm bread
* tomato puree is now free !!!!

They've basically rounded things up to the nearest 5 gm - although one or two things have gone down.

(Not that 2 gm is even measurable properly as most kitchen scales are only accurate to within 2% at low weights!!!)

Dorset cereals porrideg is only 30g though!

Yes the tommy puree one was a goodun! Lots of recipes are now free that would have been a couple of syns! They may as well have made it free from the start as its negligable per portion anyway really! Great for the good ol' Smash pizzas! Or the cheese scone base pizzas! Dorset cereals are lovely but you really don't get much of them do you! I used to have them regularly but ended up using them as a topping for yogurts as they just didn't cut the mustard for me as a serious cereal! Thanks Bev xxx

Afternoon Hev
I see you are now being aquainted with the new SW rules x

Haha hi Kally, well seeing as I'm the weigh-in lady (or should I say bint) in my class, I should really know all the changes! I guess I got stuck in my ways and didn't think to read up! Our C did tell the group the rules but I was away the week the changes came out xxx

On the other hand I'm MORE than ready for a change lol!!!! Tomorrow we're making a huuuuugggge vat of chicken curry- For Dai's Mum- I mentioned the other day about her 30 year anniv of no drinkipoos!! I'm shattered from working lots over the past week, but now I have 4 days off and it's nice to feel that I've really earned them!!! XXX

You will be glad to hear that Dai's lamb stew is officially gone!!! None was even frozen so we really made the most of it!! I'm laying down the law and forbidding him to make another one for some time yet! Or at least to try something different!! Lamb or beef stew is all he seems to know!! Any ideas for big vats of things welcome!! Curry tomorrow!! Making loads and I'm sure some will be leftover and devoured through the week!

Evening chica - our vats are usually beef or lamb stews, bolognaise sauce or chicken cocido (but this is actually not 100% SW friendly as it has sausages in it) although lush if you want the recipe. It's basically a Spanish chicken casserole and has chickpeas in as well as veg.
