FUNCURLS FOOD DIARY, BLOG and CHIT CHAT!! New target set!!

Nights done now- was meant to be workin tonight too but I was asked to swap to another night next week instead so now off til Wed Yaaayyy! Which means I can have a chillout day and watch all my fave programmes on TV tonight, start knitting my little elephant and do some reading too! Steak & SW chips tonight for tea!

Ladies I definitely recommend the C.B Alpen lights - you may not get that nice gooey texture we love in a standard C.B. but u do get that almondy hit! Or you could take a swig of Amaretto! Similar thing lol!

Red I urge you to try the chickpea dahl omelette! Go on be a devil...and report back!!

Well done Donna on your loss! 2.5lb is a great loss- remember it's not about how much you lose each week, but more how many weeks you lose, because its better to have 200 1/2lb losses and keep it up long term than 20 5-lb losses and then give up because you're being too strict on yourself and starting not to enjoy it anymore! Hope you're enjoying being back in control! Thanks for the food compliments!

Hi Kal, hope your weekend is going well too hun! XxX

Sat 28th April 2012.

In work early morning-
A banana.

At home before bed- 17.5g porridge (3 syns) with 50ml skimmed milk (Tiny amount of HEXa)- The truth of the matter is that I microwaved my porridge half asleep and took my eye of the ball and half of it ended up on the microwave plate- a handy way to limit portion sizes if ever I saw one lol...!! Far too tired to start again from scratch!

After waking up in afternoon- Thai Mugshot (0.5 syns). A Chocolate Weetabix Oatybar (HEXb). An orange.

Supper- 2 chicken thighs and a drumstick (skinless) cooked in Sweet & sour So Juicy (1 syn for portion) with Tesco fresh black bean noodles (3 syns for 200g) and steamed carrot, cauliflower and broccoli.

No full HEXa had!! Whoops!

Total syns- 7.5.

NB The planned steak and SW chips is taking place tomorrow now instead!!

Sun 29th April 2012.

Brunch (Breakfast kind of didn't happen!)-
35g porridge (HEXb) with 100ml skimmed milk (2/5 HEXa) and a sliced banana.

Late afternoon snack- Some red grapes.

Tea- Small rump steak with Actifried chips (3 syns for a little olive oil), salad (mixed leaves, tomato, onion, grated carrot, red pepper, yellow pepper, beetroot, red chilli) Pepper sauce for steak (3 syns + semi skimmed milk 1/2 HEXa). XL salad cream 2 tbspns (2 syns).

Late night snack- - Cold chicken thigh and drumstick (in So Juicy marinade-1 syn). A raspberry Activia fat free yogurt. An apple.

Total syns 9.

Evening Chica - dongle working at acceptable speed here in sunny (NOT) Cornwall.
Took our friend out yesterday for his 70th and I had fillet steak & chips for lunch. Only problem is . . . chips were thrice fried (oooh and they were fantastic) and the steak was accompanied by a kidney pudding (suet pastry an' all). Plus I succombed to sticky toffee pudding and toffee sauce - which was to die for. Had an Indian meal tonight when we got to Truro which was also lovely. Suffice to say that I've put on at least 3 lbs I reckon since Friday . . .
But actually I don't mind. I'm on holiday and I'll sort it out when I get home.

Enjoy your few days off chica and speak again later in the week.

Glad you're enjoying this intense heat we're havin in the UK hahaaaa!! I'm pleased to see you're enjoying your break! Look, I know I made a throwaway comment about the fruit n veg and you not having to go off plan, but actually I'm very much of the 'go for it, you're on holiday' school of thought! And when have you ever known me to come home from hols and not be a few lbs heavier?! As you say, its all about correcting it when you get home which you and I can both do when we put our minds to it! Glad to see your dongle is in perfect working order!! Shpeak shoon Msh Moneypenny xxx

What on earth were you doing on your puta at 4am this morning?
Yes lovin' the UK sun. 7 hour journey in the driving rain yesterday was just what we needed . . . NOT!

Merry Monday Hev

hope you are enjoying your few days off
the sun is out in London today and it pretty
warm for now
So I hope you have some of it in Wales

Hey Bev, how's it going? Grrrwwww there seems to be no let-up with this awful weather!! It's 1st May today (pinch punch first of the month!) so the April showers should be over!!! Mmmmm that food you described sounded wonderful!!! Oh, I was up at 4am as had just finished reading a fantastic book called Into The Darkest Corner- by Elizabeth Haynes! A psychological thriller! It was one of those unputdownables! I finished it 2.15 this morning!!! When do you go back to SUNNY Spain?!!XXX

Ooh, ps I lost 1 lb!!! Yayyy!!X

Thanks Kals, last day off today!! Pyjamas and reading my book and I don't care what anyone says!! Making the most of the rain (needless to say that in true Welsh style we didn't get any of the London sun lol!!!) and back to work with a BANG tomorrow long day, Thurs and Fri nights and doubling back onto a long day Sun! So no rest for this wicked one!!!

Hope you're having a fun day!XXX

Got weigh in today Curls?

Hope it goes well. How are you doing today?

xx

Hey Red,

Yup, weighed last night and I lost 1lb so it's all good!! I'm exactly at original target now, but still 3lb above my lowest ever (which I got to before the cruise in Feb) and 4lb above my new revised target!! I find it's good to keep myself on my toes!!!

Last day off today and as I just said to Kally I'm intending to spend it in my PJs until choir practice tonight! Reading my book and chilling out and being answerable to NOONE!!! (Apart from syns lol!)

How are you doodlin? *tootles off to read Red's news*....X

Lol the London Sun has gone and done one today Hev and its peeing down :giggle:
Ooh well done on that cheeky 1lb off

If anyone's wondering where yesterday's (Monday's) food diary is, well let's just say things didn't work out well!! Like a fool I didn't eat much in the daytime in a desperate bid to optimise my loss at WI (lost 1lb!) and went into starvation and headed for the chippie after class, falling into a portion of battered sausage and chips!!! Oh well, I probably had most of my calories for the day in the one meal but not exactly SW friendly food or good inspiration to publish in a food diary lmao!! NOT good practice for any newcomers, or oldtimers either!! Today marks a new week and I intend to keep it healthy, nutritious and low-syn!! Hear hear!!!X

Been weeing down constantly since we got here although the sun is TRYING to get out today, but not succeeding.
Don't fly back until next Monday night. Here in Cormwall unril Friday and then back to Cheshire to mum's and going to a surprise party on Sunday for our friend who's 70 (the one we took out last Sauturday and caused the sticky toffee pudding gate!).

I've been so bleddy cold since we arrived that I keep eating cr*p. Meals are okay but keep earting norty stuff as snacks. And I very very rarely snack in between meals. Bring back the warmth and sun.

hey hevs, can you check for me - are the weetabix golden syrup a HEB or not? I bought some without thinking (well i did think - i thought - yummy!) but have no access to check now anyway! xxx

Hey hun, Inspector Howells has looked into it and the only Weetabix HEXbs listed other than standard Weetabix are strawberry/wholegrain, bitesize (doesn't specify flavours) and choc spoonsize (which I had for breakfast!) Why don't you look at the calories per 30g and if it's more than 120 (6 syns) count it as a HEXb + however many syns extra, like they do with the Choc Weetabix! XXX

Ooh dear, bad timing for you really!! April is notoriously bad for rain, but it's May today!!!! Hopefully we'll get some lovely sunny weather in May and that will make me reassured that I'm not TOTALLY mad to be living in this country lol!!!X
